lol okay haha. With all advantage in the fight he still lost to those “little knuckles” badly. He never had a chance against him in anyway. Mike is a tank and there’s a reason his career in BKB is much more successful. All guys find their place in combat sports now with how big they are. Luke wouldn’t last very long in this league. Also, no mouthguard will protect the teeth 100% against bare knuckles, because the area of impact is much, much smaller without the glove than with the glove. My hats off to Luke. It’s a good thing. He stopped because both his top teeth and lower teeth were knocked loose. One tooth not so bad but when your whole front teeth are Knocked Loose, serious issues can happen if you continue. So he had to stop. When your teeth are loose like that they can get pushed further down into your gums punch through the side of your mouth or your front lip. Irreversible damage. We know how tough Luke I’m just glad he recognized the seriousness and didn’t continue

Mike couldn’t hack it in MMA, so he went somewhere with much lesser competition. And even the better guys he’s fighting are a lot older than him. Punching is one thing, but learning multiple martial arts and perfecting them enough to be a great, is a much much harder task than winning a few bare knuckle matches.

As a person with a genetic brittle bone disease, I have so much respect for these dudes that dive head first into pain and injury. Growing up, I played some sports, and in my 20s, I was couch surfing, traveling constantly on the move despite frequent injuries and pain. But over time, it’s gotten exhausting. The fact that Luke has cemented his name in MMA, made a good chunk of change, yet he’s still going at 37/38 is incredibly impressive. I’d love to have a beer with him.

My hats off to Luke. It’s a good thing. He stopped because both his top teeth and lower teeth were knocked loose. One tooth not so bad but when your whole front teeth are Knocked Loose, serious issues can happen if you continue. So he had to stop. When your teeth are loose like that they can get pushed further down into your gums punch through the side of your mouth or your front lip. Irreversible damage. We know how tough Luke I’m just glad he recognized the seriousness and didn’t continue

Mike couldn’t hack it in MMA, so he went somewhere with much lesser competition. And even the better guys he’s fighting are a lot older than him. Punching is one thing, but learning multiple martial arts and perfecting them enough to be a great, is a much much harder task than winning a few bare knuckle matches.

As a person with a genetic brittle bone disease, I have so much respect for these dudes that dive head first into pain and injury. Growing up, I played some sports, and in my 20s, I was couch surfing, traveling constantly on the move despite frequent injuries and pain. But over time, it’s gotten exhausting. The fact that Luke has cemented his name in MMA, made a good chunk of change, yet he’s still going at 37/38 is incredibly impressive. I’d love to have a beer with him.
