"Uncle" tells the story of an eccentric and solitary man named Wally, who finds companionship in his pet blue heeler dog. However, when Wally's health begins to deteriorate, he starts to worry about the fate of his beloved dog after he's gone. This touching claymation explores themes of loneliness, companionship, and the bond between humans and animals.

  • I think the subtlety of this story is great. On one hand it’s a dry laying out of absurd facts, party stories and quirky anecdotes about this guy’s uncle. On the other hand it hints at a life of dissatisfaction and crippling loneliness. It’s bittersweet and charming and I think it ought to make people appreciate the fleeting moments we share with other people that sometimes end up making their day.
