why did they reduce 2 threads in their new Meteor Lake processors? (ex, the previous 14 core, 20 thread became 14 core, 18 threads)
They changed 2 Performance cores for 2 low power efficient cores. Only the performance cores can make double thread
Do you think it's a design problem that the fans blast hot air to the screen?
No, a lot of laptops have their air exhaust next to the hinge, that's the case with my Latitude, and I don't have any problems with that.
Does this core ultra 5 variant have an additional SSD slot like the core ultra 7 variant?
Both of them only have 1 M.2 slot. The core ultra 7 version aswell!

@@rushabhhere interesting. According to Acer it doesn't. Might be a different version that I tested. I will test the ultra 7 version soon aswell. Might check that out.
2:18 is it IPS or OLED display as mention in description products boxes it said IPS
Don't know if there are different models screen wise but this is an OLED one

How is the build quality compared to Dell? Acer usually has questionable build quality.
Intel graphics drivers were not ever top of the line, but it looks like they are on a mission from God. To erase the bad memories of ATI drivers circa 2002 as the worst.
What is the ARC GPU in this laptop? I saw a lot of variant like 7 series 5 series and 3 series
It's the arc integrated graphics of the core ultra 5 125h. With 112 EUs and 7 Xes
@@Hubwoodis the arc gpu running on this device with no issues? intel strongly stated arc gpu is only available on select H-series Intel® Core™ Ultra processor powered systems with at least 16GB of system memory in a dual-channel configuration. is that device runnong on dual channel ram?
@@JadeBuaya no. it had a big issue because its only using 20 Watt...it was therefore running much slower than expected...
@@Hubwoodthanks. im actually concerned because i just saw that notice from intel today but i already ordered lastweek a yoga 7i with ultra core 5 125h cpu but only having single channel 16gb ram lpddr5x 7467 mhz speed( is this going to be an issue? ) . hope the arc graphic will be running just fine with my device and be better than older intel xe gpus, tho im not expecting that much as it is still only an integrated gpu ofcourse. cheers

Cause was meant to be a quick review :) (not much to see really, 2 fans with heat pipes. And the m. 2 is swappable. But that's it.

It has a 90 Hz refresh rate instead of 120 Hz. Is the 90 Hz refresh rate really good?
Defenitely better than 60. It's noticeable. A compromise.

No. Not for the model I've tested.
The model in this video is SFG14-72, with an OLED display and higher resolution. The one with a touch screen is SFG14-72T, lower resolution with touch. Do you want the "T" or a better-resolution OLED?
