    • Standard combat load is 210 rounds, plus the 30 in the magazine. There's always a pack rat or two in every squad, so somebody is bound to have a few spare mags or a handful of the 10 round stripper clip speed loaders

  • It’s really disappointing that we spent twenty years there and literally over a trillion dollars but did not engineer proper high altitude rotors, transmissions and modifications to increase our operational capability... and leave with greater support ability than we arrived with. It reminds me of typical temporary duty that people retire from after twenty years versus the alleged permanent positions that five to eight years later no longer exist. The political economic environment creates strange consequences. I used to enjoy eating chow with the 160th... the 101st can be a very small place sometimes.

    • After reading your entire comment I decided to just delete mine. If you ate chow with those boys you know they have some toys that the general public just doesn't get to see. Just the UH80 alone, while slightly modified, makes it a completely different bird.
