How easily does this knife steel rust? Testing the Cr8Mo2VSi (DC53) in the QSP Canary fixed blade

2024 ж. 22 Мам.
8 487 Рет қаралды

The QSP Canary fixed blade has a new to me steel called Cr8Mo2VSi (DC53). and in this video I split some wood with it, spit on it, and cut cardboard. These advanced tests show me how easily it rusts, and is knotted wood going to chip the edge, etc.

  • Thank you for batoning. And how you have less than 100k is beyond me. The filming, and the style of talking over the film, and all of the humor sporadically spread throughout the video. Please don’t ever stop being you, or doing this. You have remained the same, since I started watching you around 2017/2018 or so, and I’ve come for the humor and the batoning, and I still get good info in an entertaining form. Your style is what keeps me watching every video, and coming back. It’s gold. When I show non-knife friends your videos, they watch others and don’t even care about knives. You’re easy to watch and your content is fun. I like it this way - if you ever started shilling and started doing basically ad reads on the channel, that would be the only time I would be compelled to not finish a video tbh. Thanks for being genuine and thanks for doing this in YOUR style. Much better than a second rate version of someone else’s style imho. 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

    • The things that keep you and I watching are the same things that keep the majority away. If I suffer a massive head injury and decide I wanna see the 38 knives that Kizer released this month, KZhead is filled with awful channels that make that possible.

      @CNYKnifeNut@CNYKnifeNut2 ай бұрын
    • Sometimes I think about getting the big boxes- so I can make more content- but that seems like so much work. I believe I told Kizer sorry not at this time. I tell so many companies no.

    • Over the years I do get the comments about never changing. And I take it to heart. I have tried to improve some technical stuff from time to time, and make minor changes to the formula- but I have tried to keep the same forumula and sideshow style of the videos. I make these mainly as entertainment.

I instantly subscribed and hit that bell icon, and I have watched every video since. And when I'm out of new videos to watch and wanna watch more, I just go back in time!

  • It sucks its been such a grind for you to get 100k. Even when im burnt out on knife content i always watch your new uploads, your channel and cedric and ada never get old its the table top channels that get boring. Obviously their content is easier to churn out in mass im guessing the youtube algorithm likes that.
