The sentence was overly hash. He was a child. He could learned his lesson with a far more lenient sentence. The gun appeared mearly to tell the officer to back off. He didnt deserve to be shot. I dont understand why officers belive the mere sight of a gun is automatic justification to rubber stamp a liscence to kill. What he did was wrong but the amount of time stolen from the child is far worse. His life will forever be negatively altered. And he will spend the next 20 years after that sentence trying to make his was in a world that will not be merciful to his past deeds.

The sentence was overly hash. He was a child. He could learned his lesson with a far more lenient sentence. The gun appeared mearly to tell the officer to back off. He didnt deserve to be shot. I dont understand why officers belive the mere sight of a gun is automatic justification to rubber stamp a liscence to kill. What he did was wrong but the amount of time stolen from the child is far worse. His life will forever be negatively altered.
