To be honest, the top spot could go either way with Toph and King Bumi. Toph created metal bending while Bumi could telekinetically earthbend and at 110 years old he was still in peak physical condition while Toph at 86 was starting to feel the effects of old age.

Toph was always going to be on top no matter how big the Avatar universe expanded.
That’s because Toph learned from the source of earth-bending. Also like Daredevil, she took her handicap of blindness and turned it into a strength.

Fairly sure Bolins lava bending came from the fact he had a fire nation Mother. Thats why Maka was able to Fire bend and Bolin could Earth Bend, othwerwise both could technically try and learn the other style of bending. @@MGK734

The most impressive thing about Toph, is not only did she invented metal bending, but defeated the Dai li warriors, elite trained warriors, elite!
No she didn't King Bumi did. Well Bumi was the first one seen bending metal on the show. Not to mention he beat Azula without trying and told Aang who he needed to train him. Toph is second and King Bumi is all by himself in first place.

King Bumi bend metal with earth material. He is incredidably strong but not a metal bender. IMO he could bend both metal and Lava given the knowledge@@steveh3520

@@g1sart843 he will always go down as the "Mad Genius" with me. honestly I think a real fight between them Toph would have a hard time with Bumi because he's unpredictable and can use just his mind to bend. kinda hard to defend against that one.

Toph also learn sand bending in book 3 when on umber island she displays it to build sand castle.

Toph's seismic sense is so precise and powerful, she could sense liquid metal running through Korra AFTER her own daughter removed it thinking that was it. Lin and Suyin are master metalbenders and earthbenders, but according to Toph they are no-where near it.
Toph is even respected by Kuvira during operation Beifong. Kuvira knows Toph's experience and ability could unmatch her agility. Toph has soft and hard skills available at her disposal.

I think people say Kuvira is better than Lin because of her fighting style. They saw her beat up an out of shape Korra and Suyin and think she’s the best. Lin has a different style and was able to fight her sister while extremely weak. I agree with Lin being stronger

@@toasted_donut2308 would be close I think Lin would win. The reason kuvira beat suyin was because she didn’t have her own Mattel suit and kuvira fighting style was more physical. The way Lin fights would match kuvira very well.

I had to watch it to the end just to make sure that the #2 I saw in the thumbnail wasn't what I thought it was.
You forgot to mention Toph was able to detect the metal fluid that still inside Korra when Korra thought this was already taken out by Toph’s daughter.
Toph was definitely amazing, but Boomie was my favorite. Probably because of how crazy he was, but in the best ways. Imagine if he and Toph trained together and taught each other!
They actually fought to a stalemate in the comics.

Water earth or Fire
Air bending is the best. Firstly, in everyday life it would be the most useful since you can sort of use it like a telekinetic power. You can also fly around. It’s also the most powerful. What are bombs but high pressure waves
@@bear532You can do the telecinesis part with earth and water too though. Just need some dirt or moisture to do that. And just like air those things can be found pretty much anywhere on earth. Or you could just carry some with you like Katara or the metal benders. I'd even say they are more useful in every day life, as both must be incredibly useful in fields like farming, manufacturing and waste management. Earth and metal bending especially would also be extremely useful in construction and mining I'd expect. While firebenders would probably be great for work with electricity and in power production in general. They'd probably also be able to heat their homes and food with their abilities. But maybe I'm just to confined in my thinking when it comes to what'd be possible with air bending. About the bombs part: Yeah, I agree that is pretty powerful. Then again Firebenders could most likely achieve something similar by quickly heating up a large body of air or water (like a scaled and sped up version of how Iroh heats his tea) And earth and Water benders could probably at least mimic the shrapnel part of such an explosion. And earth benders arguably even have a natural counter to that in the form of being able to construct a full-blown bunker in the blink of an eye. Though how well that'd go would probably come down to the skill of the benders involved.

Aye Kuvira is one heck of a lady. Watching her was like watching how Azula would have become if she was composed, more disciplined and highly rational. Kuvira is a war genius, 2nd to none in the series. Heck I would have loved to see her go to war with Ozai.

Toph was just 12 yo and still on Avatar level. She was able to dismantle whole militaries and made a joke out of the fire nation even when they had Zosin´s comet just bc of her metal bending. My most anticipated fight that never happened Toph vs Azula 1v1 no help from outsiders.

Ghazan was surprisingly low. I expected it to be a choice to make the comments field more active. Suyin and Bolin over Ghazan? Suyin had potential but didn't focus on bending practice. Bolin struggled and struggled and got better, making it possible for him to even face Ghazan.

@@muawiyah9 i agree that he is fine with his ranking, BUT i dont think fire bending has anything to do with that since it doesnt take part in the lore to lavabending (to my knowledge) and that lava IS EARTH ITSELF and not fire its just molten earth, if you even google "is lava fire" it comes back as "is formed, not by burning anything, but by slow heating under great pressure within the earth."
I guess Avatar Kyoshi - held as the strongest of all Avatars has a problem with the thumbnail and the actual ranking.

no, personally I think Toph is better because she's young and did things basically equal to Bumi in skill. Bumi had experience, Toph had skill, but Toph would beat Bumi if she was in her prime.

@@426makToph was a master as well. She had skills that weren’t mentioned in the original series. Her seismic sense allowed her to detect what was happening across the globe. Not to mention she learned earth bending from the source: badger moles.
I think Bumi would win. Toph was more skilled and talented but Bumi's raw strength, experience and unpredictability I think would've beat kid Toph.

I know kyoshi is an avatar but i was expecting her and Anng. They come up with some genius bending too. And Toph can sand bend too, man! When she built the whole ba sing se with sand, with even the details😮😮
I'm biased but she might just be the best non-Avatar bender, perhaps even better than an Avatar or two. She developed 2 offshoot styles: metal and sand.

@@MindBursterz yeah but she's also an earth bender. Aang is Avatar but he's an Air bender too you know? I get the just plain Earth Bender list excluding Kyoshi but, when I saw the video she came to my mind. She did make Kyoshi island but cutting it away from the mainland. From the Avatar anime, simple as it is.. it's really cool.. but from a real scientific pov, it's probably even more a demonstration of her strength. She would've had to cut all the way through the Earth's Crust to the Mantle, and well the amount of Air she had to bend to get that island moving. In reality, it may not have moved with just Air alone.. so I figured, imagine if she had to bend the Mantle beneath the island's crust while simultaneously bending the Air to help move the island away from the mainland. So based off of that thought alone I was thinking.. she'd be the strongest Earth Bender. She did use Air Bending but to cut the Earth's Crust and bend the current of the Earth's Mantle to help move the island away from the mainland.. that's pretty amazing y'know.

Yes i added Aang because he was already a master before he became the Avatar. Kyoshi's feats in videos were done using the Avatar state. I did not want to use achievements from the novel.

You missed one, it's bumi.. Toph is great no doubt.. But bumi is more powerful than Toph .. Bumi can do bone bending, and there is a scene in Atla, when Aang choose bumi to fight with.. Bumi transformed his body from a old cranky one to a fit hard one.. that's called bone manipulation.. Avatar kiyoshi use to do that and that's how she survived the long.. You have missed this one.. And bone bending is extremely rare, even Toph didn't know about it..
Bumi is in the list, but ultimately Toph is still the slightly stronger earthbender of the two in terms of raw power. Bumi comes in as a close second

King Bumi is #1 for me. His Natural bending seemed so fluid and effortless. From what's been said in this video he has TELEKINESIS bending (I thought it was just bending with the most minimum of moment) and the strength profile of his bending is unmatched. He didn't appear to be royalty either and yet became King of Omashu. Toph vs Bumi would be WILD!
