If you are interested in the 1stGenFishing Copperhead. Here is a link to it on TW- www.tacklewarehouse.com/searc...
This lure is very unique and it sets itself apart from every other vibrating jig out there on the market. The head consists of 2 copper BB's that creates a loud ticking sound when reeled through the water. This lure thumps hard and searches a lot more than your traditional vibrating jigs. First time commiting a whole day of fishing with it and it has definitely found a special place in my tackle box.

John shook my hands on Saturday, now I have ALL of his fishing knowledge!! lol Jokes aside, he was sooo friendly. It’s nice to have someone as experienced as he is yet so friendly, he was all smiles!! The interactions with both u and John definitely made my weekend! So chill and humble! 👍🏼
22 3/4 inch and 9.5 lbs is how you want them built! Congrats!
Wow, that's THICK! Broke my PB this year in May on the tactical wake 210 in Massachusetts. 7 15oz 24 inches. Extremely long mass fish.
Not for kayak tournaments where its all about length
Congrats Bud! That is a giant!!
I hope Nick and Thomas are giving you a piece of the pie bro. Their sales are gonna go through the roof. Congrats on a fantastic day!
Thanks! Nick and Thomas are great guys. They've always helped me when i needed it.
good job. that will make you love Clearlake even more. heading up there tomorrow.
Congrats on your new clear lake PB. That thing was a tank! I have a handful of copperheads on pre-order with tackle Warehouse waiting for their release October 1st 🤞 That's crazy. Your best five fish today had to be close to 27 lb. Keep it going Damian! 🤙
Great job with the videos, keep up the hard work!!!
That shot under the dock with that sick background was awesome. And the monster bass too
I said the same at that part
Bro you are the big bass Guru
Great catches and thanks for sharing. You're the man bro!
Great fish!

Two videos this week…NICE!!!
Freaking shoulders on that short fish! Wow! Great to see u whack a good one at Clear!
That bait is going to shake things up across the nation!! 👊🏼
Throw that bait near shallow cover on a falling barometer, during the first rain in October and see what happens. ..and even better with wind!
Awesome catch! That thing is a tank. I caught one almost the same exact weight (9.52) and was just over 25”
Very nice!
chatter bait and jigs around docks have been money! 26.4lb bag last weekend🤙
Unbelievable bro, what a day! Big, beautiful, healthy fish. All of them were nice. Always, when the net isn't on the boat, here comes all the big fish lol. 🛶 🎣 🌊
11:14 "Nah it's stuck" 🤣🤣 that's a side of Damian I hadn't seen. Always fun to joke around with friends 😁 What a tank of a fish 9.5LBS 😲
Amazing 😮
Fishing is always best on a falling barometer, at Clearlake.
Big momma! Congrats man!
Wish i had friends to kayak fish with.. nice catch
That's why it's called the BASS FACTORY
Nice bass congratulations
Very nice!! Just epoxied some BBs to my current chattrrbait. Sweet idea!
Awesome fish
What trailer is that on the bladed jig?
Geez Damien you’re killing me dude!!!! Awesome catches.👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. What was that trailer you had on it?🤔
Dang! That would've been a great bag for the tournament. I like the looks of that chatterbait.
It's unique, much defferent from any other chatterbaits ive thrown. Different sound and vibration from whats out there on the market today
Nice toad bro! Must be largest one I’ve seen on the tube this year!
DAMIAN = LEGIT #1 BASS FISHERMAN
Love Clearlake, i lived ther for 8 years, back in 2002
Cool bait and nice job
awesome
Mr. Damian . . . Nice catches, especially the last two. I hope those two will be included in one of your future "Big Bass" video compilations. I think it's awesome that 1st Gen Fishing provided you their prototype of this bladed jig. Are they one of your sponsors and do they ask you to provide feedback and suggestions on what could be improved in this bladed jig's design? Another enjoyed video 🤙and looking forward to your next one 👍!
Thanks! yes 1st Gen Fishing is one of my sponsors/supporters, they are local to my area as well. They do ask for feedback and thoughts on lures. Great group of guys that creates lures that is much different from what every other big company is doing.
I think all I want for Christmas is to fish with Damian thao 😂
hit me up on facebook and we can go if you are local lol
My go to bait for big bass at clear lake when I was fishing tournaments was a large spinnerbait on along cast sink it outta the bottom and slow roll it back right on the bottom or a large swim bait fished the same way as .out of that lake is around 15 feet deep and we would win a lot of tournaments that way back then there were no chatter baits in colder months occasionally I would fish a deep large suspending crank bait with a stop and go retrieve
Fish on
Hey man loved the vid!! Super helpful and nice to see big fish being pulled out of clear lake. By any chance would you mind sharing that part of the lake? I’ve been trying to find some new nice spots with docks and wood and that spot looks absolutely juicy! And clearly was!!
Thanks! I launched on the North end of clear lake. I dont recall the name of it but its in Lakeport. I want to say its 5th Street. Good place to launch, a lot of shallow docks, anymore questions, feel free to ask
Next time launch near Lucerne. You’ll have fun catching fish on that side of the lake too
I’ve never really fished on that side, just so much boat pressure there though. But I really do like to fish near Keeling park to rodman
We gotta work on that boat flip
What’s the name of that bait and the trailer?? I was up there this past weekend, I fished the southern end of the lake and did pretty’s dang good on Saturday. Got myself a small boat (Drift-Boat) normally I’d be salmon fishing, but obviously that’s not a factor. I’ve gotten into bass a lot the last couple years and clear lake is amazing. My drift boat with my 9.9 mercury and trolling motor does the trick as king as the lakes weather cooperates. Anyway I caught most mine on a drop shot. And my biggest was 6.7lbs, nothing like your big one. Anyway sorry for rant. I’m new to this chatter-bait, unfortunately haven’t hooked any fishing them yet. Curious on any suggestions for specific type of chatter bait. And the trailer? I fished a keitech on the back but no luck. Thank you so much. And when will this bait be released?!- And where can I order
Freak of nature LGmouth unreal!!!
rod, line and reel set up on this?
Wow, that 9.5 was a tank! Nice fish! I believe you were just fun fishing, no desire for a net to help land those fish? Haha landing em by hand, especially the big ones can get tough! haha
Dang!
Damn that's a BIGGIN...
OHHHH MY GAAAAWD 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Monster
Geesh nice mama 9.5 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice toad bud cheers
Congrats on ur CL pb! …is that the spunk shad trailer?
yup hog farmer spunk shad
Niiiice
Gggggggggiant!!!! She heard your whisper😂
Sheesh my PB for a large mouth bass is only a 6 pounder makes me wanna go out and catch a monster. 🦈 Have you ever try ocean or deep sea fishing? I tried it once but I get motion sickness 🌊 🤢🤮 so I can’t do it. But nice catch bro! Keep it coming 👍
Ive only deep sea fished on charter boats with freinds. Really fun, some of my buddies gets motion sickness too when we all go.
What is the Trailer?
How the vibration on that thing? Does it engage pretty quick?
Damien. What rods and reels are you using?
The rod im using is a custom built Nelson Custom Rods and the reel im using is a Shimano Curado MGL 150 in a 6 gear
Damn this dude just casually flipping 5 pounder onto this boat like nothing
Does the gps puck help out with the spotlock?
🎉
What was the name of the chatterbait you was using. Never seen one
It's a 1st Gen Fishing Copperhead www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=30&searchtext=copperhead
9.5! That thing was 11 lbs 2 months ago
What trailer do you use
It's a Missle Baits Spunk shad i believe
Awesome video what gear ratio are you using? What’s your rod reel set up?
Thanks, im using a 6:4:1 gear ratio reel with a custom built 7ft 2" 3 power rod(medium heavy)
@@dthao92 thank you for the reply I appreciate it
Shoot never mind I’m sorry. Just seen the baits link in your page? Name of trailers possibly you like??
Are Clear lake bass northern strain?
what is the brand of the kajak
love this guy!!!
Nice catch. When u put it on the stringer I was like... no don't keep it cuz almost all asian folks b keepin all fishes all size lol.
lol, its a donkey leash. Its to keep the fish in the water while i get all my stuff like my board or a scale ready. That way the fish is not out of the water all the time
Is that 4.5 or 5.5 trailer?
I believe its a 4.5
anyone know if this lake has some decent bank fishing spots? would like to fish this lake but ain't got a boat so don't want to make a long trip just to not have fishing access... :(
Honestly it doesnt have any good bank access other than on the freeway side but the water is quite high so makes bank access really bad. Only other places i can think of is fishing off the dock at keeling park, ive done good there fishing off of it. But i wouldnt go unless if i got a boat, kayak or a guide trip
@@dthao92 thanks for the info. Good to know 👍
That Shimano Corado 150 sounds like a cement mixer. Do you do your maintenance? 🤣
It's been in too many wars 😂
Wow, what a football
Make it look to easy!!!!
We’ll I guess if your only gonna catch a few, those are the ones to do it with.
You fish right handed but cast the right way and its not cringy to watch the pass over lol
Bro the Passover is not cringe…stop bragging bc you you are good with your left hand!🤣 jk jk, no hate just messing around.
@@doublec1758 it is to me! Lmaoo but seriously i was just taught this way. I don’t know any other way. And i tried righty and i feel broken hahaha
Not trying to sound negative, but seems you are reeling fast and horsing these fish in, instead of taking your time and tiring them out a bit. Maybe it's the tournaments that get you in that mode?? Anyway, nice fish and thanks for taking us on the water with you!!
There's a lot of reasons for it. 1 i was trying to put a lot of stress on this new lure to see how it holds up. Wanted to see if the split rings or the snap will straighten up or pop open. But with my chatterbait rod, its a soft rod and has a lot of parabolic bend, i have it paired to a 6 gear so it may look like im horsing fish in all the time but i just need to keep pressure on the fish and let the rod do all the work. I like to get them near the boat and fight them there rather than having to take my time and fight them further out because theres high chance they'll get snagged. I have better control of the fish if im fighting it by the boat.
@dthao92 Gotcha man, thanks for your time and explaining. You obviously know what you're doing, and I was just curious. Keep the good videos coming, I really enjoy your content!
For some reason, my success seems to alternate between spinnerbait and chatterbait each year. One year I can't buy a bite on one but slay on the other. But holy crap that bass was a butterball! Love when they're super tall and fat like that!
Damn if there’s a tournament for the weight you would of won for having the biggest bag
Mn?
I bought that same chatterbait on Temu for 2 bucks lol
Beautiful bass, built like a brick sh** house!
Blimp
U almost lost your first fish trying to flip em
It was actually pegged pretty good, I didnt think it was as big as it was. But im trying to put a lot of stress on the lure to see how the split ring and snaps hold up to all that pressure.
that's a fatty 💯
Just bring it to you and lip it bro. You don’t have to boat flip every fish you catch they all end up with blood by the time you throw them back in the water
Not true
Surprising you don't speak more Hmong in your vids...because every time I go fishing, it's always "MAA JAY YER" (Ma ntses yaw)
Learn how to kayak fish and stop horribly “boat flipping” the fish.
What’s the trailer you got on the jig?
Looks like the Missile Baits spunk Shad but I’m also waiting for his reply.
@@gregleon12 spunk shad. I think you're right
Yes sir, its a missile baits Spunk Shad
@@dthao92 Awesome thank you man. You’re one helluva angler and nice guy. Thanks for the reply.
