HOI4 Timelapse - What if Spain and Turkey joins the Axis in March in 1945?
In this scenario we test out what would happen if Spain and Turkey joined the Axis in 20. March 1945. Can these two countries save the Axis from defeat, or will they just prolonge the inevitable?

Spain and Turkey really did wonders here. Even tho Spain didn't have any starting units, the new southern frontline for France made them move troops away from the frontline, and that pretty much did the trick for Germany. While Turkey opened up three frontlines for the enemies of the Axis. Really impressiv counter attacks here!

Franco might’ve been completely curb stomped but at least distracted the French long enough for the Germans to make a comeback.
lol the complete disaray of both the spanish and german armys in 1945 newly liberated france alone could solo them, and with the americans and british they could solo 100 of both tbh.

Germany wasn’t coming back, by 1945 the Allies had total naval and sea dominance, the Nazis were completely out of fuel, King Michael had liberated Romania from Nazi occupation and the last of the major oil reserves in axis control, their industry had been bombed out of existence, all the rest of their “allies” had capitulated, not to mention the Nazis no longer had the ability to stop the Allies and whatever armies they had were practically melting away like snow on a hot day. All Turkey and Spain would do is over complicate the ensuing Cold War
@@crqf2010ruler wym the game, hoi4. Isn't relealistic what do ever and noi don't have exact numbers. But the state of Germany and Spain's army could not conduct offensive operations because they did not have the proper equipment to do so, (heavy artillery, engineers, reconassinse vehicles, etc) and did not have the high command or man power either... It would just be men with guns mainly. Also turkey, Spain, and Germany had maybe a 20th of all the allies combined. Combined turkey and Spain had less than a million fielded men, and although Germany had almost as much as the allies, only around a forth of these even had proper guns, and we're poorly equipped even by guerilla standards. Plus Turkish moral would have been down the drain, and they rpobally would have immediately sue for peace (if you don't understand why I can elaborate). Had only turkey had large scale anti air and anti tank equipped divisions with combat readiness. Spain's army wasn't dreadfull, but it would be drafted by the newly liberated French army that was primarily guerilla fighters and poorly equipped African units until recently. A well trained, well equipped professional army can defeat a poor one 10x there size with ease, even if they have enough guns and mortars. This has been demonstrated time and time again in history (second sino japanese war, the Macedonian Persians wars, Prussia as a whole which to be frank wasn't even superior in terms of generals or technology or combat effectiveness but purely solider veterancy.) Any of these factors give an over whelming advantage and combined even if Germany had 10 times the men it would have just been more old men and children sent to be slaughtered, with little overall impact besides maybe a year delay and more devastation of the German countryside.
Spain played the essential role, by making france reorganize his army to the southern front germany was able to stabilize the fronts and destroy france again and focus only on soviet union

@@SirDriperHat actually itd be even more weird if it did. Russia and Britain had been in a cold War during the whole 19th century so even those two allying was odd. Germany wanted to seize the lands of the east for which they needed to go to war with Russia, and they wanted to have a vast colonial empire, which is only really possible if the British aren't hampering the germans. Also kaiser wilhelm ii was a notorious anglophobe. So any of these three powers allying is unlikely, let alone all three.

In reality at least, at that time there were huge allied armies on the western front, much larger than germanys, iirc it was like 3 million allied vs. 1 million german troops december 1944 according to wikipedia

usually by 1945 spain have a 100 (or more) division but yeah turkey and spain was a good distraction and provided enough time for the germans to counter attack
If this sounded good, it was impossible The Turkish Armed Forces were inadequate for war at that time. And the army needed a lot of weapons and equipment. In other words, the Turkish economy could not afford such a war.
clearly, in HOI4 everything is focused on the war the economy does not matter.

I find it weird that by 1942-44 franco mobilized 750,000 troops and yet there is barely any troops in spain. Not to mention, the Free french were mostly guerilla troops from their african colonies and spain had thousands of troops with experience.

Realiatically it would not change anything. Especially that late. But minor countries in HOI4 are wayy too strong
To all the people who think it was impossible. During Bagration russi Lost at least 750k soldiers and up to 3000 tanks in less than 2 months!!! Every push on the eastern front was occupied with massive casulties. Moving 20-40% of army to turkey would be devastating for russia. During Battle od Berlin they Lost ~350,000 soldiers and 2000 tanks in 2 weeks. Russia wasnt capable of long term offesives.
