Doubt any medical staff, shamans or semi-god would do wonders with the likes of Thiago, Matip, Konate, Jota so on. They are just injury prone as f*. Keep Jota for rotation and sell Konate imo. It's a shame fsg never gave VvD a solid companion during all these years.

Liverpool's lack of control is not down to transitional style, it's simply the technical ability of the players in possession, the amount of chances Liverpool concede through poor passing has been the club's biggest downfall. It's incredible how something so simple seems to be ignored by channel analyzing Liverpool.

u r reading too much into it! Salah seems underperforming because of his evolving role under KLOPP. Klopp is trying to ready new attackers on the expense of moving salah closer to midfield. 2nd Salah is leaving regardless of form because LFC wants the cash and I suspect Salah wants to retire, comfortably. I am assuming that Salah is pissed because he is not allowed to leave with a bang, especially with the new supporting position assigned to him!!!

Nah, Liverpool went to far away from their profile of a 9 (firmino) they instead got Nunez.. Jota was the natural replacement for firmino because he can drop deep into the midfield similarly and score. Liverpool issue currently is the right side it's imbalanced , so the team therefore is imbalanced , Nunez did well when Salah was in afcon and we could put him Jota and Diaz or him , gakpo and jota. Nunez misses but he can be a problem for oppositions on the wings not as a 9, what we need to do is drop Salah ( replacement needed ) . And we need to be defensively better to, that's probably klopps fault, because we have great defenders .. don't think Liverpool will buy a 9 , we'll buy a CB , replace Salah and probably play gakpo on the left more. I have a sneaky feeling clubs are in for Diaz this summer. We'll probably start play the kid Jayden danns as the 9 . Slot will have to be watching clips , like even as we're speaking, there's no way he can see Nunez misses and think that acceptable. And I hope they ain't stupidly trying to convince him . Nunez seems like he can be a player if he can go on the wings, but i also wouldn't mind cutting our losses with him. We've already got enough wingers . . All this time with no back up to Salah is affecting us
We need to be defensively strong not give teams confidence because we are so so so easy to counter attack. High risk high reward doesn't win a title and is not sustainable.

Arnuh's style can break the bus down. His style isn't that dependend on a top striker. He will ware opponents down with relentles pressure. Around minute 60/70 he will bring on fresh legs wich will be decisive. He doesn't need City money.

Salah is one the greatest PL has ever witnessed. Perhaps increased ball retention and reduced high press can prove him to be a new lethal weapon at LFC. PL won't be the same after Salah, just like after Drogba, Hazard, CR7 and Bale.

Slot asks for multiple wingers due to the demand placed on them. If Salah is cashed in, I think we're looking at two more right wingers. Elliott looking good for tight space rondo play through the middle.

I’d get Bakayoko personally, both Elliot and Szoboszlai can play on the right and even Jota or Diaz aswell if needed. I think Szoboszlai is our best option at RW, he’s played a similar role for Leipzig and Hungary. He also fits the profile Slot needs and has the physical attributes to press, track back and defend aswell. Would love to see Dom as our 10 but I just think that RW role suits him more, unless we sign Bakayoko then Dom would play 10. But I feel like the money will be spent in midfield and defense. I prefer Gakpo on the left but something’s telling me he’ll play that 10 role often just like Stengs transitioned from a winger to a 10 under Slot. That way Diaz can stay our LW which he fits perfectly because we’re all familiar with his work ethic! Conclusion: my eleven would be Alisson in goal. Backline could change depending on transfers but for now I’ll stick with Gomez (I think he fits that role better than Robbo), Virgil, Ibou and Trent. Wieffer and Macca in a double pivot with Gakpo as our 10. Diaz and Dom on the wings. The striker I’m not sure about, I’ve been protecting Darwin for a while now but I can’t keep doing it with these performances, but new season, new manager, new system so maybe it’ll work out. Some signings I’d love are obviously Wieffer. Bakayoko, Pacho or Hancko, Ait Nouri or Robinson or Geertruida. This is an unpopular opinion but I think Solanke would be a great affordable option, strong, wins his aerial duels, great link up play, works a lot out of possession, amazing in front of goal and premier league proven! Danns is the long term solution and Slot gives a lot of trust to the youth
Great shout for Solanke. I don't know if there is a buy back clause. Nunez's technique is Kazakhstan League Two at best. I still think Slot will ask for a more one on one driving winger than what Dom is. I can't wait to see what happens. It's been like recovering from a cold getting Slot, but I'm slowly starting to get excited about it.

I doubt we'll get more than 3 new signings and also the ones you listed will cost well over 250 million pounds (mainly because of Wirtz) which I doubt we will spend in one transfer window. I would be happy with: Florentino Luis or Mats Wieffer as new DM Charles de Ketelaere as replacement for Salah (if sold) and one CB (Pacho or Colwill) Of course, if we sell Darwin or Diaz, more forwards would be needed, but I guess we'll wait and see. I hope we keep Lucho, we just don't know if he wants to stay or not.

Not sure about this analysis.. Liverpool in the past two seasons have moved toward a more controlled, possession based game with silly inverting full backs & double pivot midfielders, leaving huge gaps down the flanks while providing no width in attack (Salah & Konate being consistently exposed an example here). Passing has been slow, conflicting with a disjointed pressing game & confused final third approach play when it's mattered most. I'm looking forward to seeing what Slot brings but this video makes it seem like much of the same that's failed us recently!
Liverpool needs a CF who can finish and a creative AM (like Firmino) who can open up plays for the L/R wingers to attack. Also need a couple of quick defenders to bolster the backline.

Ive been saying for weeks now, that the new boss hopefully institutes more control. We give up waay too many chances seemingly every single game. Look at Man City and how they drown and kill teams with the ball. We on the other hand like to regularly let opponents up to breath, so to speak by allowing them chance after chance.
I see that whoever players they sign, it's hard to challenge man city for the title, losing to them few times in the league, missing the league title twice by a point, top 4 will be more satisfying

Honestly with Salah i feel like when he was a bit more selfish he was a goal scoring machine but i feel that the hate from the fans came to him and that incident with sadio mane has affected him mentally and made him feel u confident in dribbling. As you saw on that diagram his assist rate and chances are a lot higher now. Salah’s style of play is more like forcing himself in the box and trying crazy dribbles then finishing so maybe after he started to change his style of play he is struggling.

I believed that Arne Slot will work just fine alongside Edwards and Hughes when it comes to recruitments, especially players and backroom staffs. Only I think the final say in the transfer decisions will be more towards Edwards and Hughes. Managers and Head Coaches of course got their own preferences in players criteria but unless you are SAF, Pep Guardiola, Wenger or Mourinho you have majority say in player transfers. Klopp I believed in the beginning of his LFC career, he have the final say of which players will he decides to be included in his plan. After that he ends up like the one mentioned above.

The general opinion about Arne will change quickly, I promise you. This ultimate guy next door will be winning from the blockbuster managers a lot next season. It’s a shame that many can only make superficial comparisons between other bald or Dutch managers. Fortunately, the fans who exhibit this herd behavior are not in charge, because it is completely nonsensical and would definitely lead to bankruptcy. Fortunately, Arne Slot has his own vision, which would suit any club. The question is rather, does Liverpool suit Arne Slot? It will depend on the degree of opportunism that Slot will have to deal with. Take it from someone who speaks Dutch, when Arne Slot speaks you just have to listen. Don’t worry, many Dutch people speak your language to some degree and so does Arne. He's the only guy I've never heard say something stupid. He is sincere, intelligent, verbally strong and ambitious. what more could you ask for? Even his stats are amazing, he’s been punching above his belt successfully for many years. Salah has one of the best physiques in football and is always fit. In the graph you showed he was the only constant starter who only missed one game due to injury. Also Salah’s ball carrying declined because of mane and firmino leaving since they would provide him with the assists now he’s the one providing others cause he’s the only capable one

Obviously it's dependent on every individual club and their policies and how they want to deal with things, but generally the only thing different about a Head Coach is that they aren't generally involved to a serious degree in the transfers/signing of players. Apart from that they do everything else that a standard Manager will do

I think the difference in direct play lies in the opponents of Feyenoord in the league. The quality gap is much bigger in the eredivisie and most teams bury themselves in their own 16
Mo Salah has to be sold, to protect value. It is a legend, an awesome player. No doubt about it, but when you love your club, you also know when to leave to help your club into a new era. I hope though he will continue to play for another topclub! What a winner!

Salah has been great - he's a brilliant finisher and creates so much - but I think we kept him for one season too long. We should have cashed in last year and bought a younger replacement.
I've always felt we never really replaced core players that won us the Prem, beginning with Gini. They made Jurgen's system work almost flawlessly. Perhaps if the incoming manager is a bit flexible tactically, we may see players like Nunez do less of what he's doing now and focus more of his known strength, goal poaching.

🤣 Are you serious? Salah refused an annual salary of over 100 million £ last year and didn't do what Mane and Henderson did. Salah loves Liverpool and determined to win titles with us, when the system is ignoring chances created by him and all goals scored by him as well as turning a blind eye on the main problem which is in our defense and midfield, then there is a big issue with it? We are a club of history and world class we deserve better players than what we are buying in each season, VVD is not a Captain material, his arrogans is over the limit. Central defense midfield isn't Macalister's job. TAA isn't in his top form, we are losing this side since Bradley got injured. Our build up for attacks is similar for a 4th division team because of the lack of talent and vision in our back line and midfield. Everybody is hunting on Salah because he shows how he cares isn't right. When VVD came back from injury, as well as Trent we kept supporting them because we knew that they will be back to how good they have been. I hope we can do the same with our star and not let him down. We are Liverpool and we don't throw our players under the bus because of an incident.

I think your set piece analysis is slightly flawed for comparative purposes, which could lead to incorrect or incomplete conclusions - over or under performing xg only really tells you part of the story, you really need to factor in a "per action" e.g (keeping the numbers simple) team a have xga of 10 from set pieces, but team b have xga of 5, but if team a have faced 20 set pieces and team b 10, the xga per action is identical, which means the way team a and team b defend set pieces yield the same result and therefore isn't a factor, the important factor is that team a allow more set pieces

Julian Ward was at the helm for the signings of Gakpo,Diaz and Nunez. The only window where Klopp was definitely in charge of transfers was the last one where they signed MacAllister, Szoboslai etc

While Salah has clearly been a tremendous player for Liverpool, smart business dictates that you cannot afford to keep or reward declining assets. Salah's overall contribution over the past couple campaigns has clearly declined. While his passing may have shown some incremental improvement, his ability, and really, willingness to take on defenders is all but gone. He has 1 year left so the best move is to sell as high as possible now and not wait until his value decreases further.
