I didn't remember it at the time but I have an army confession :) Lit in these 2 years that BTS had online concerts, I watch them of course, but every single time! my mom came to see what i was doing and interrupted a presentation or final comments. Even if it was 4 or 5 am, and I'd have made as little noise as possible. She found me. So from now on, it's not a bts concert if my mom doesn't interrupt me or finds me crying 🥲

I used to think that BTS was the Jonas Brothers. I don't understand how I thought this, but I did lol. So, the first BTS song I ever listened to was Make it Right in 2019. I remember always liking that song and I never realized that it was sung in Korean. All I know is that I thought the song was from the band Jonas Brothers. Back when I was in middle school, I was never exposed to K-pop and I never knew about BTS. This changed when my mother and I won tickets to go to the Jingle Ball in 2019. Not only did we get tickets to good seats at the concert, but we were also able to meet one of the performers. Remember, I didn’t like or knew about BTS, so my dumb self picked to meet Halsey because she was one of my favorite singers at the time. So when we took our seats to enjoy the concert, BTS were the singers that started off the concert. I remember that it was so loud and everyone was holding ARMY bombs. I didn’t know what they were. But I wanted one so badly lol. As they were singing, I noticed that they were the artists that made Make it Right. I was so shocked because I didn’t think I would ever like a song in a different language. Again, as I am writing this, I can’t understand why I was so dumb lol. After the concert, I didn’t get exposed to BTS for about a year. It was April 2020 The pandemic just came and we were still in Quarantine. I was so bored, so I asked my friend to send me some videos to watch. She sent me the Boy With Luv music video with Halsey. I clicked on the video because I really liked Halsey. I watched the mv and I noticed how much I loved the song. This was the song that started my amazing journey of being an ARMY :). Also, my bias came from this mv also because I really liked Jimin’s purple sweater. That made me look into him more. As I was writing this today, I wish I could go back in time and tell myself, “YOU SHOULD HAVE PICKED TO MEET BTS!!!”
