@@moreexpressolessdepresso92 Honestly one of the good things that the game tells you about the legion is that they make the Mojave a considerably safer place to travel. There are no raiders or bandits or powder gangers in legion controlled lands, because they rule so strictly that they wouldn't tolerate criminals like that to live. The NCR on the other hand are constantly being portrayed as corrupt, incompetent, and dreadfully inadequate when it comes to protecting those they take tribute/taxes from. At least with the legion you wouldn't ever have a situation like Primm come around, where the NCR will literally set up camp a couple feet away from a bunch of criminals looting and slaughtering the townsfolk and doing nothing at all because "it isn't in their jurisdiction". You could argue that the Legion at Nipton had done the same as the powder gangers at Primm, but Nipton mostly consisted of convicted criminals, thieves, and rapists and was also rampant with corruption, prostitution, and depravity in equal parts. There weren't any innocent people living in Nipton, they were all just as guilty as their neighbors. Even the mayor was so shitty that he had made a deal with the legion to let them kill everyone else in town as long as he got payed afterwards, which just exemplifies how little authority the NCR even has to bring law to the people they're supposed to protect. (Despite the fact that the NCR controlled Mojave Trading Outpost is literally down the road from Nipton, and nobody was concerned about the town in the slightest) At the end of the day the choice between the two factions boils down to a couple things. Would you rather toil under the NCR and pay tribute to a government is completely powerless to protect your settlment from bandits, mutants, or animals, and also one that you have little to no representation in despite claiming to be democratic in nature. Or would you rather find safety under the banner of the Bull, while having your entire tribe be subsumed by the sheer might of Caesar's Legion, to join one of the many other tribes that have been dominated by the regime, while also having the off chance that your entire family will either be slaughtered or enslaved if they are found to be disobedient or of no use to Caesar in the long run. I feel like another good point to consider is that the Legion is a meritocracy, whereas the NCR is corrupt as shit. If you are talented in the Legion you'll be rewarded and will climb the ranks quickly, but in the NCR you'll only get far up the ladder by using subterfuge and deceit or by having personal connections to the top brass. Caesar makes a good point that Tandi was the president of the NCR for a full *FIFTY TWO YEARS* and was only elected because her father was the previous president, thus making the position a hereditary dictatorship with no constitutional restraints put into place to prevent generational dynasticism. (At least with the legion the position of Caesar would fall to the next in line, the Legate, which isn't related by blood to the Caesar and could have completely different ideologies or philosophies to the previous Caesar, as seen in the end cards of the game where Caesar chooses to enslave the majority of the population but the Legate would rather slaughter them all if he is able to take over the regime)

I played this build till level 40 (all the quests available in the game since my int was 1 until I got it to 3 with Lonesome Road and an implant to represent him getting a tad smarter than a vegetable.) And it slaughters everything. If you play this build play on hard or higher.
