If you scraped the carbon ring off the top of the liner you could push them out by hand and not risk damage to the ring land.

Китаец.тебе надо было нагар снять.верхнее кольцо не доходит во время работы до края гильзы там появляется нагар.он и мешает вытянуть поршень из гильзы.

Clean carbon at top of cylinder FRIST piston will ease right out! Been there done that many times over the years

There is a ridge at top dead center caused by wear or carbon build up. Unless you are going to replace the sleeves, you use a ridge cutter. The Pistons slide right out. Put sleeves on the rod bolts so you don't scratch the crank and push them out from the bottom.

It's not a hole. It's combustion chamber, normal thing in HD diesel engines. Still a bad idea to pull it like that for 3 reasons. 1 if you accidentally drop it, you will scratch the crankshaft. 2 potentially damage liners. 3 modern piston has a spetial coating to prevent carbon buildup, easy to scratch

@@live2hustle495 Is the hole a pre combustion cup. As you can tell I no nothing about diesel's I've never as much as checked oil In a diesel until last year. I bought and restored a 1986 f250 with a 6.9 swapped cabs but haven't had to mess with the engine yet that will be a learning curve. I know on the small 6.9 idi they have a pre combustion cup I think that's what it's called is the hole on the piston similar to the combustion cup.

I wouldn’t suggest this as at the top of the cylinder wall there is a lip due to the piston not reaching the very top of the cylinder, if you aren’t careful it’s possible you can break a piston, however it’s achievable and if it works and it’s the way you like doing it then i would say go for it
