Spend a day with me while I study abroad in Japan! This is a typical day in my life as a homestay student in Japan- going to class at Nanzan University, studying Japanese, eating delicious food, and even dancing with my host family's dance team (I can't dance lol). If you're interested in studying abroad in Japan, then I hope you'll enjoy this episode. I'm so excited to share it with you. ❤️

  • these videos are always so nice and peaceful ☺️ the bunny cafe was very surprising for me too! very different from what i would imagine 🤭 so glad to have found your channel - it's so nice to get an insight for what it's like being an exchange student there! have you ever considered doing a video on what to pack/bring with you when going abroad? like any essentials or things you found that you took with you but didn't need. or maybe even about expectations you had before going vs things you didn't expect! i'll be going myself pretty soon (to nagoya too no less!) so i would love to hear more. there is no pressure of course, i'm already happy enough that there's (recent 😭) content around nanzan in the first place! thanks for the videos!!

    • Hi, it's so nice to meet you!! How exciting that you are going to Nagoya soon! How long will you be there? ✨ I don't know if I will do a packing video, but I can tell you about my experience. Truth be told, I brought sooo many cute outfits that I didn't end up wearing at all, or maybe wore once. I (unrealistically) thought I was going to be dressing my best every day, only to find that the chilly weather + waking up early + long days of classes just made me want to dress comfy! 😅 So I would recommend thinking about what you will actually wear and trying not to pack too much. As for something I wish I brought... definitely dry shampoo- I like it for humid days sometimes, and I could not find ANY in Japan! Anyway, best wishes to you!!

    • My host family really was so great! They made me feel welcome, and prepared such delicious food too 🥹 My host mom’s friend found each of the cats as strays 4-5 years ago, so no one knows their breeds! I do know that they were super tiny when they were found 🐱

    • Look into scholarships! I definitely could not afford this on my own; I’m so grateful to have it all supported by a full scholarship specific to my university! Some universities have study abroad scholarships, and there are also external ones (for example, CIEE has some full merit-based scholarships). I hope one day you can go 🥺💕

  • do you have any tips for studying abroad in shibuya?

    @piercem.5877@piercem.587710 ай бұрын
    • Study abroad in Shibuya, Tokyo? That sounds amazing! It would definitely be different than my experience in Nagoya though, since Shibuya is such a lively and populated place. On the practical side, I would recommend trying to learn the public transportation system as best as you can. There are so many different types of transport in Tokyo (metro, subway, JR, etc) and I definitely got confused while I was there 😂 And my personal recommendations: when I travelled there, I loved looking down at Shibuya Scramble from “Magnet by Shibuya 109”, seeing all of Tokyo from Shibuya Sky, and eating at Coco Ichibana! ✨

  • Unfortunately the bunnies live in terrible conditions :( They must be so stressed out. No space, only a little bit of hay and strange people trying to pet them.
