That “don’t want vs can’t have” hit me in the feels. This guy is one of the best to ever do it.
my tears were about to fall and then suddenly it went back up
Robin scherbatsy my guy
I don't want kids either, but the reason I can't have one is that I'm single
@@nsfx2739 yep
@@jschnei3 lol same, sometimes it makes me a little upset when I think about the fact that I may never find someone to grow old with but oh well
It's just astounding how quickly he shift the vibe from serious to hilarious. constantly switching and surprising.. the DO jokes were bangers! Love it
Absolutely. Poignant.
Cue. It's all staged. Fake.
The lighting crew was on point. Helped the audience quiet down when he wanted tension.
i miss it so much..
Dave Chappelle energy!
I laughed, i cried, i reflected upon my own life and family ... All in 15 mns ? You're so gifted Hasan !
He really is. I've met tons of "gifted" individuals throughout my academic life and Hasan is such a delight.
Best 15 minute clip of anything ever, perhaps.
I'd say go watch the full episode! It's well worth watching from a story teller that wraps it from beginning to end ;)
Yes, this was like a master class in storytelling! Wow.

The part ‘life gets very real when “don’t want” becomes “can’t have”, Hit hard! 🥺
Lamo. That is like every millennial feminists biography.

I hope Hasan Minhaj keeps posting content. I miss Patriot Act.

The opening hook is so good. Love that you uploaded this on KZhead
Hassan is going global award season. It's so sure at this point
Loved the breakdown of this on his episode on your show! :D
Just coming from your page.
Your interview with Hasan is brilliant and deeply insightful. Congrats to you guys and to Hasan. Been a fan of you both for years.
Kings of analyzing good hooks
This was too relatable. My story took the adoption route because I couldn’t afford the scalpel. Not many men are willing to talk about this problem even among friends, so if Hasan sees this, thanks for sharing
Yes certainly. I appreciate him.
@@therevivaltv4256 y’all got some horrible senses of humor
@@Vernorswhat? You’re literally on a video of a comedian. Get out if you don’t like it.
Patriot Act was so good. After watching the King´s Jester, Patriot Act became even better. He was so brave to do it. And now i can accept it, that we won´t have more Patriot Act any more. Family first.
He actually confirmed what I'd suspected all along! Patriot Act was SO awesomely popular 4 it 2 end SO abruptly...I assumed that had 2b some behind the scenes 'chaos' related 2 the Muslim content! He kept it TOO REAL 4 'some'...Luv this guy🥰
@@cpace7680 The :muslim content"? Not his constantly talking about world problems?
@@waymilky442 What did u interpret that I meant by the phrase? Of all topics he discussed the ones that seemed 2 have the potential 2 affect him personally were those that involved his culture/faith. South Park didn't once depict the founder of certain religion in a bear suit because there had been NO threats if they'd done otherwise 😐
Please elaborate what you mean by "family first" ...what happened
@@lwethu5318 Ya gotta watch it
The adoption bit was insane. He turned hilarious into silence inducing seriousness in a matter of miliseconds then throws you a curve ball and the audience just starts laughing again. This is such skillful storytelling
He is such a good story teller.
At same time he is pi .g eater Jihadist
Ya supposedly all made up!!!!
I was getting teary when he got to the "don't want-can't have" part then he threw that DO bit I wailed in laughter🤣🤣🤣🤣
ive never wanted kids but ive been chronically ill for the past few years and now i cant have kids. the way “i cant” hurts more than the “i dont want” hes so right
Sorry to hear that
Kids are overrated, literally too much of them right now on the planet. And the planet can't even sustain them properly. Less kids the better. We need to average out to 1.7 or 1.6 kids per couple (assuming everyone married once, which rarely happens nowadays)
Indeed, it sucks when the choice is taken away from you.
I am authistic and usually don’t laugh once at stand up comedy but this man manages to make me laugh.
W
Autism doesn't make you lose your sense of humour. Some of it actually gets enhanced. I don't know which you have so meh.
Great :D
*dxrk rave intensifies*
Hasan always has the best stage design. Patriot Act and this, good job people behind the scene and Hasan.
Seem like he is trying to do graphical design with a Camera. Great concept.
The way this man is able to grip the audience and have them follow every tone and emotion he's trying to convey is unreal
I'm gonna go out on a limb to say this : Hassan is the BEST storyteller of our generation.
Huh? He's good but have you heard of Dave Chappelle? Lol
@@Fluuuv But they are different generations?
@@Fluuuv They both are equally good for different reasons
@@Fluuuv Yeah bruv, still sticking with Hasan.
I would rate Hasan much more highly than the transphobe Chappelle. I don’t think HM would be so bigoted.
This guy is an entirely a different brand compared to everything else we have seen in the history of standup comedy.
agreed, the amount of hand is unprecedented 😂
@@bennyton2560 we all pick things to observe and comprehend based on our abilities.. you did too 🙂
Hasan is incredibly gifted at bringing an audience with him ANYWHERE he wants to take us! Saw this show in Seattle and it was once-in-a-lifetime good!! Congrats on the Netflix premiere👏👏

This man is so not masculine that his balls literally don’t work.
You'll appreciate Patriot Act more and want to binge watch it again.
Good point - I never knew where the name came from!
Saw the show live in Minneapolis. It was my wife’s first comedy show ever, and our first ‘date-night’ since the start of the pandemic. It didn’t disappoint. The show was/is great. I’m happy to see it available for streaming now.
So its real not laugh track
@@queen78284 definitely not a laugh track in Minnesota. The crowd in was loud and having a great time. Something about the group dynamic at a comedy show just makes you laugh more than just watching at home. It was great.
Incredible what control he has over the audience. A lot of times when comedians get serious you can hear people still laugh a little because they aren’t sure whether or not it’s supposed to be funny. Never the case in this clip, even though he bounces back and forth between serious and comedic a lot. Amazing.
He is able to control moods around him like a friendly dog at a party.
Hasan is just amazingly talented, he would be a perfect successor for Trevor Noah on the daily show
Agree!!!!
Nah, let him be Hasan Minhaj. Don't want him to become another talking head on a night show.
@@Sujay95 100
@@Sujay95 100% on that
@@Sujay95 true, don't turn him into boring sell out
11:13 “I was lying” It’s actually amazing that he admits this. When we get married and choose a spouse of course we are in love and think we would sacrifice for them and all that, but when we procreate the amount of sacrifice we feel we would be willing to commit to multiplies by a factor of 10 at least. My kids drive me bananas on a daily basis and recently were a deciding factor in me not going on a trip to Japan but I have never for a single moment regretted having them.
You never know what family is until you have one. This is the clear statement of Hasan Bhai. Loved your passion.
His timing is up there with the legends. God I miss his TV show. I still watch the old episodes. He is such a great combo of American pop and South Asian culture. I’ve learned so much and he has so much love for his family. 💯👍🏼🏆
Good on him, to share so openly with the public his experience with infertility. It really is an unsettling discovery for individuals impacted. Using his platform to inform and reassure other individuals who are infertile that they are not by themselves.
We’ve been struggling to conceive. And we’ve been second guessing the insane amount of surgeries and dr visits it may take to get us there. But this renewed my faith. I am a massive ball of tears this morning. So Thank you. ❤️
I’ve been laughing and crying watching this. My parents were trying to conceive me for 8 years. Now my dad is gone I really missed him and this made me cry so much knowing my dad can this be so happy for me when I was born. Salute to all dads there!
he’s giving major theatre kid energy and i love that for him
I also have fertility problems. It really does change how you view yourself. It's not so much I want another kid.. but just to have that option would make me feel better.
Just finished watching the special and it is your best work yet, die hard Patriot Act fan and tying everything together was amazing, the change in tone throughout was perfection. I felt so many emotions, crying from laughter, sadness and happiness. 10/10 Queen Beena thank you for everything you guys went through as a family because of the work Hasan did during Patriot Act, educating and entertaining myself and so many other people.
I did that too, when my daughter was a baby and for days unable to breathe because of all the snot in her nose, too little to blow her nose, I sucked it out. I would never ever do this for anyone else, never, ever. That IS unconditional love.
Very unique stand up. No cursing, no violence or sex, just funny-ass family pseudo drama. Well played.
There was cursing
@@DonInADress Yeah, you're right. Still, was rather clean and still hilarious.
That's what I love about Hassan. He is funny without being vulgar
"no cursing" mf.
balls and sex ed
Funny, touching and sincere. I've watched this twice already, which I thought was odd but then I thought of some great books I've read twice as well. Shows how great of a storyteller he is.
Congratulations Hasan for being a Dad!
He gave birth to another Islamist extremist p..i G
Hasan's stand up feels more like acting put a stage play monolog. Funny & dramatic. Love it
love watching his comedy and delivery evolve over the years. this was flawless. the first thing to make me smile on this dreary tuesday WFH day
He has the best set-ups... Your heart starts to break, and then you break out laughing.
I just finished watching the special. It was high quality comedy. It was a perfect mixture of humor, honesty, heart, and drama. You are a genuine genius jester!
I remember the booger joke and Hasan said “I wouldn’t do that for Beena, Beena wouldn’t do that for me” and all I could think of was “Hasan, Beena would have tissues on her she wouldn’t ever need to do that for you” Edit: I would like to add this is a joke in response to a joke and neither joke should be taken seriously, thank you :)
exactly. m y dad was always prepared w/ tissues lol no need for the grossness! it's funny though bc I have used one of those little rubber squeeze things to suck out a baby's snot before, but it's stored in the device til you clean it out :P
So true lol. I do not have a PhD like Beena, but it is ok to ask for an assist from another parent with tissues or a kids caretaker at a kids photography session, Hasan. There was another considerably LESS nasty solution.
i'm sure he had tissue but i think ppl are missing the point, it's just another way of saying he is serious when he said he would do anything for her... i guess some ppl stops at nasty for their proclaimed loved ones
Way to represent Brotha! Hilarious, entertaining, captivating, thought provoking, wholesome, and REAL. Much respect for sharing such a personal matter. 🙏
Watched this and I was already recommending this 10 minutes into watching it. This was amazing and profound. I cannot wait for you to write books now. Not sure how you'll fit a PowerPoint in that, but you'll be a brilliant author.
These 15 minutes made me both laugh and cry, you're so talented and amazing I swear 😂💗
Congratulations..... And thanks for the smiles on millions of faces that you put.
Simply brilliant! I loved it all. He is one of the best comedians around, totally underrated.
his comedies are always a roller coaster of comedy, literally so hillariously relatable and then also the underlying message !! the entire netflix show is so insanely good just like patriot act pls bring that back i can only learn politics from you 😭
My family worked for "motel Patels", they were wonderful people ☺️ but also yes there were so many of them and not only did they own like all of the hotels in the area but also gas stations. And by "them" I don't mean a Patel, I mean related Patels of the people I'm speaking of. But, again, great people.
loved ..loved.. loveeeddd the show... hope you keep coming back with more, we miss you when your intelligence and humor aren't around ...big love and respect x
Absolutely love this clip, the opening take is awesome too! I can’t go to Brooklyn but I felt like I was there for a few seconds. Felicidades Minhaj familia. I was torn by the “unsure and can’t have” about being a mom. I had to undergo painful surgery just to get 1 and my body was done it could not produce a back up despite our best efforts. Isn’t crazy that babies also come out looking like raisins that turn into grapes?
Amazing special, loved the Netflix one but so happy you posted a segment here man! ✌🏼
You could literally hears a pin drop when he pause.. the audience is amazing, and his delivery is amazing. Congrats hasan.. you the man.
Can't wait for you on the daily show. Amazing. Making complex topics that aren't discussed, into comedy to reveal real-life situations that affect so many families.
After watching your interview on Colin and Samir, I had to watch to special on Netflix ...and DAMN. The storylines you weave in-between each other. The back and forth of laughing my ass off to critically thinking...i've never felt something like that before. One of the best stand up sets i've seen I think in twenty year this is going to age like wine
Hasan is such an amazing story teller. This was so good, love it.
Saw it on Netflix couldn't feel more proud of you!!!! I hope you continue to prosper and Don't ever lose that passion and activism You are a rare gem May God bless all that you do and protect your family Stay real 💓💞❣️❤️💚💕💓💜💗💖
He make me lough, made me emotional reflect me with some family issues. He’s gifted man
He's such a fantastic storyteller ❣️
Wonderfully written and formed. Truly skilled in tone. I have found not many have the ability to share such emotion and experience with words. Solid work with a difficult subject
I hope to God he is taking over The Daily Show when Trevor leaves!!! 💙
I wish. I so freaking wish
Shane is taking over
He pierced through the space time continuum - made feel through a lifetime of experiences in a 15 min video.
I said this years ago that this is the greatest stand-up comedian alive. I know it's different but I'm old enough to remember Richard Pryor and a lot of his performances that I love were involving real life situations. It always had something that I could relate to even if it was different from my life.
That bit about why he had called his first act as ‘’the patriot act” is very powerful!
which part? timestamp?

My family’s black and my niece came out very pink. I already knew it takes a while for the melanin to kick in for a lot of kids but there was still a moment of what if.😂 😂😂 Like, what if this is that one case they gave you a wrong baby. It was a solid week before the color started becoming obvious. My sister was quite worried 😅😅
God watching this a second time after seeing it live, cannot get over the storytelling here!!!
This was absolutely brilliant. I laughed, i cried and it made me feel things in the age of internet. That's big.
The background and stage design is stunning !
You made me emotional and then had me laughing at the same time, brah I'm in the same situation and it's demoralizing especially when that baby fever hits 😕
