  • Most Australians are not even aware that there police swear their allegiances to the King of England. The military also swear their allegiances to the King of England, not the Australian people. Jerry, you are correct in what you say. I have lived in Australia since 1962 and have witnessed the complete takeover of the sovereignty of the nation. It has been deliberately and methodically infested by the American nation and they have infiltrated every function of the government. Australia has no identity, it's either the King of England or the United States government who controls its function. The recent aukus submarine deal with America and Britain was never discussed with the Australian taxpayers and the financial crisis that will come from this issue, will be paid for decades to come and the submarines will be obsolete by the time they are built. Most of the population in Australia is ageing and obese. We import 750 thousand new immigrants every year. None of whom even comprehend that they are on the land of the first Nations people, which have never succeeded their sovereignty and still to this date are being exploited, imprisoned. Our young detention centres are filled with mainly young first Nations teenagers. If China focused on Australia, it would expose the nation as a genocidal dictatorship. The media in Australia bans comments, you are not allowed to comment, period. That's fascism and Nazism. We are a nation rich in resources, but the corporations pay no taxes. The government collects more tax from the students who pay for their education and the smokers are taxed 70% for a packet of cigarettes which cost $70 dollars Australian? Its true. If you buy a home, you must pay stamp duty, which is astronomical and in the ten's of thousands of dollars. Every time that home sells, the new buyer must again pay stamp duty. Its a rort. The roads have been privatised and you pay to drive on them and its a toll way that most can't afford. If you don't pay, you're penalised severely. The public transport system is privatised and if you don't have money and are caught without a ticket, you are immediately fined $200 for a $5 fare. Our gas for instance is one of our natural resources and we subsidise the company to extract the gas and then the corporations sells off shore and make enormous profits and they pay nothing in taxes. They sell it back to the people at huge prices. So Jerry, your very lucky to have migrated to China. I travelled to China in the early 80s and it was amazing then and I can see how amazing it is now. China is leading the world, it's infrastructure and the people have been lifted to highest standards. The future for Australia is bleak and we will be used by the Americans as cannon fodder just like the Ukrainians. We could of had it all, but we got shafted. Don't let the same thing happen to China. It truly is the marvel of the world and I dream of being able to visit again. Keep up the great work Jerry. Your patience and humility is a breath of fresh air. Cheers mate 👍

  • I live in Australia, I am married to a Beautiful Chinese woman. She lives in Chongqing. The area of Chongqing that we live in is very prosperous and has not been affected by natural disasters or accidents. Australia generally believes that it is the centre of the universe. 25 million people! All Australians think that we are the big boys in the area. I think Australians need to cut the cord with the USA! We are misinformed by media and gullible to swallow the gruel served up by the media. I am returning to China in 10 days…. Can’t wait! • Australian journalists are a joke - and that is putting it mildly. When Xi stays in China, they sneer at him and say that he is "isolated" from the world and is ignorant but when he goes visiting, they claim that he has gone to "beg". Yet, what about Janet Yellen and Anthony Blinken's visit to China recently? They are not begging for China's help? Or perhaps they have gone there only to lecture Chinese leadership on worldly affairs? Former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating said it best when an Australian journalist asked him how does he know so much better than Australian journalists, replied, "I know because I read". Our journalists can't even tell that there is a difference between a virus and a bacteria and antibiotics are only effective against one and not the other - and for decades, have often confused the two and misled the public. If they are so misinformed themselves, how can we even believe what they 'report" on global affairs with any degree of objective accuracy if they are more engrossed in creating their own "news"?

The French visit was very formal but both the French people and the French government were hopeful that France would establish better ties and future developments with China to help France prosper because of Chinas vast market. Their words not mine. The Serbian president repeatedly thank China and Xi for assisting Serbia in projects of infrastructure but made a point of helping bail out an steel manufacturing plant that employed 5000 people. • Hi, Colin. You may be interested to know that when von der Leyen said with subdued tone to President Xi on "over-production capacity" of EVs by China, President Xi replied pointblank that there is no over-production capacity issue. He said that rather, it is high quality production capacity. It provides users with good quality EVs at low prices, helping countries to push for carbon neutrality quicker & to avoid their further local inflations which are haunting them now. China does not have to beg EU for anything, but it welcomes friendships & cooperations for win-win benefits. Also, Australia is doing contradicting things which may self-inflict harms to its own self. If it keeps on sending spy helicopters & divers to China's territorial waters, it will surely receive "hot welcomes" without further notification. Moreover, wines & lobsters will suffer at the end of the day.

It will not hurt her much if the USA and its vassal states were to decouple from her. This is something the G7 should take note of. They will be the one who will be adversely affected. It is like shooting themselves in the foot. It is also something that the average Australians are not aware of. And in a decade or so, when the African economy flourishes and the ME climbs out of the abyss, China may not even need the western markets.

    • It's so sad about the disrespect Keating gets in regards to his studied opinion. Australia really only got to where it is today because of Chinese investment and stability for the last 30 years and a few home grown success stories like our invention of WiFi, etc. But look deeper and there's very little here to prop up the idea of a developed country. The industries are non-existent: no real manufacturing capability after all the motor companies went home, barely any forward thinking infrastructure worth mentioning, environmental policies that hamstring economic investment and the shortest leash attached from the balls of the Aussie government to the White House. Our biggest earner is from agriculture, some gas and minerals exports and yet we continually say shit about our biggest buyer while we pay for the racketeer in the background with the blue and red top hat.

  • Jerry, As you spent time in Australia you may recall the Castrol advertisment "Oils ain't oils, Sol".It's the same thing with coal. Thermal and metallurgical coals are different. Thermal coal is just that, it's burnt to generate heat (in a power station for instance). Metallurgical coal is used in industrial processes, specifically in steel making. Australia has very high grade metallurgical coal and this is Australia's edge. Australian iron ore is plentiful and easily extracted but Brazilian iron ore has slightly higher iron content. Australia's geographical situation cf Brazil probably means that iron ore from Australia is cheaper to ship. Beware of technical areas; they are fraught with complexity. That small thing said, the all pervasive, fear mongering, China hate campaign currently going on in Australia is dreadful, and I do not understand it - other than that it's just part of a relentless campaign to exploit an old white Australian "Yellow Peril" racial thing for US political and military purposes. It makes absolutely no sense and is rapidly isolating Australia from Asia. Paul Keating said it brilliantly when he said: "Australia seeks to find security from Asia, rather than within Asia". As the USA will never live down their role in the Gaza genocide, Australia will never live down this odious anti-China campaign. It is underarm bowling at its worst.

However, Russia is constructing a 530-kilometer rail line to connect its Elga coking coal mine directly to a planned port on the Sea of Okhtosk, that gives access to the Pacific Ocean. The Elga coal deposits are one of the largest untapped metallurgical coal deposits in the world. It is located in the South-Eastern part of Russia's Sakha Republic. See kzhead.info/sun/qdqCoNCCcINteqc/bejne.html And guess what? Sanctioned Russia has no one else to sell it to but China! Mongolia has large untapped coking coal deposits at Tavan Tolgoi, Nuurstei and Ovoot. China is building the Erdenet-Ovoot railway to bring these deposits to market. In short, Australia has less leverage than it thinks in metallurgical coal.

Firstly, Macron would like to make believe he still have EU as its backer and can play an important role leading EU future forward. Secondly, be done with all anti-China issues (overcapacity, EV subside investigation ..etc) while Von Der Leyen is at theme to ease out some hardliner EU member state and US for posturing purpose only before France and China can work out serious business deals beneficial to both countries. Besides, No one would consider she is a figure after both Sholtz and Macron oppose Von Der Leyen re-election at European parliament election scheduled June 2024.

They can't imagine the absolute scale and magnitude of the economic, technological and social development required to run a country with 55x the population. The GDP of China is $18 trillion compared to Australia's $1.7 trillion in 2022 alone so whenever we get a tiny rate hike here, everyone's clutching pearls and talking about a recession and rise of living costs whereas China is battling negative inflation. It may have been slow and painful but China has taken the time to learn from painful geopolitical and economic lessons from the past with a government that remembers its issues and tries to address them rather than just blame some foreign party all the time for their woes.

  • It's amazing how journalism is taught in school :) and how people are learning news from biased journalists! Just look at how the state visitings receptions were conducted recently in Europe. If these are begging trips, how important the beggar is?

  • Jerry, you’re not wrong at all. As far as I’ve been interested in local and international current affairs since 1981 when I was a 15 yr old teenager, Australian media has never been unbiased when reporting anything about China. It has gone down hill as a matter of fact, we used to have SBS to be an independent and reliable source of world news, not anymore. The only news website I subscribe to now is Pearls and Irritations. I long found that the national broadcaster ABC is very fact based reporting on Aussie issues but very opinionated reporting on China. Thank goodness we now have more and more people like yourself to speak out the truths.

    • Thank goodness we still have John Menadue! I've also enjoyed watching SBS in the past but less so nowadays, it's actually hard to watch in China, even on a VPN because it runs so slowly, not sure why, it's the only channel that does here

  • Well said Jerry. How many Aussies would continue to shop at the same retailer if they were abused at the checkout? Aussies normally don’t say much but we do walk. China is no different.

  • Many failed real estate developments were private and not government and weren't bailed out.

    • All the failures were private Jacinta, if they were government, they were folloing the rules and wouldn't need to be bailed out, the only reason they needed bailing out, which they dind't get, was because they were seeking investments offshore. Evergrande was massively indebted and issuing shares on the NY SE, Country Garden was trying to rais international debt bonds - both are illegal under property development laws in China. They broke the law, they didn't get protection - in fact, evergrande attempted to declare bankruptcy in New York but were denied the opportunity - the owner was given time to repay his personal debts from his own fotune but instead of doing so, he transferred his assets to his wife - these guys would have got away with this in the USA but in China he's now facing a long prison sentence

  • I am an old Aussie fogey. I stopped watching/reading/listening to MSM 40 years ago and I have seen the anti China propaganda all my life. I have finally found good information from your channel and others so thank you and keep up the good work. I have a question somewhat related to storm damaged Chinese infrastructure... What is the overall quality of all that infrastructure? There are many videos re Tofu Dreg Construction and the Chinese using bamboo instead of steel in concrete and while I am sure SOME construction is poor is it at all widespread? My assumption is NO as the anti China propagandists would surely show MORE of it if they could???
