Did a bit of research about this movie and the dad that abused him as a kid in the trailer is the actual guy they are doing the movie about. He wanted to play as his abusive dad because he thought he could be more truthful than other actors. Said it was hard playing the role of his abusive dad but it was also the most rewarding because he knows he’s nothing like his dad

Right!!
🤣🤣🤣💀
yes all plot points were hit , Racist kid , black adopter , BMX is the thing that they root for , father has a history , everyone sympathisez , all is good in the end.
No tease or anything. The whole movie is right here... edited, of course
Haha. You're right. I think it's getting worse. Right? I don't remember being able to watch all the best parts of the movies on youtube before.
Thanks for that hidden Gem!
@@benyaminyisrael4634 should search him up, his name is John Buultjens. Quite a good read about his story. Probably better than watching the movie actually lol but that’s if you wanna search and read abit more about him. It’s quite interesting to be honest 😊

One of the best movies I ever seen in my life Luda and the son taught so many life lessons I laughed I cried felt so good
My lady and I watched this and we both loved it. Ludacris was what made this movie
Glad to see Luda doin some non Fast and Furious movie that actually look good!!
Check out the movie Crash...
@@Veon_Ray like I said. Crash was overrated and wasn't really best picture material. Also Luda's role wasn't a huge departure from most his stuff then.
@sho jo ji the "like I said" was me standing by initial comment bout Luda doin a non FF movie that looks good. Cuz I don't consider Crash to be in that category.
@sho jo ji I was just about to say the same thing, lol, and you beat me to it. And Crash *literally* won an Academy Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, NAACP (and many others) for *Best Picture,* because it was, *like I said!* Lol!
Yeah except the movie is called the ride 😂
The moment rapper ludacris evolved into the talented actor Chris bridges
Agreed!!!
FACTS!!💪🏾💪🏾
I remember that moment...it was 15yrs ago, in the movie Crash
That’s a little of a stretch...
It was when he played a bad-guy in Law and Order SVU... One of the best acting for a bad guy in TV history...
So the actors are about 13 years apart... the ‘son’ looks like he could play the ‘dad’

That's what I find jarring and can't take this movie seriously despite the soaring music which is just making it worse for me 😂
Luda’s acting is legit here. Never thought I’d say those words.
This looks great. I have a kid coming into my life, a boy whose parents are separated and constantly sees fighting and being left out, I will watch this with him, I think it will show him there is other ways compared to the way he lashes out and hates everyone at the moment, plus it will help us bond more. I think that is what these movies hope and want.....
GOD BLESS YOU FOR THIS ACT OF KINDNESS
Aw, that looks really sweet and timely! The comments on how old the kid looks are KILLING me! LOL

Wow the way he stepped up to be the dad was so fast so furious with love.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA I LOLD HARD
Wow 😍 Ludacris is a real artist. His journey is so incredible to watch and so inspiring. Wow 😍
95% of the comments here: the son is older than the father 🤦🏽♂️
DukeOfPStreet The remaining 5%: the trailer tells the whole story.
true. which is ridiculous, hard life does make someone look older than their actual age

That's why some people thumbs down it too.
Crazy thing is there’s a lot of people walking around every day that look older or younger than they really are. Smh , why can’t people just enjoy a good performance and quit trying to pick it apart?
The bike part broke my hear man so beautiful ❤

Powerful! Good for you Luda. Growth is beautiful.
Why the hell did they choose a 29-year-old man to play a high school student? Other than that, it looks decent.
Because he can ride a bike - trick style
Yea, seriously. The story looks good, but its hard to watch the white middle aged man pretending to be a young kid. The "kid" looks old enough to adopt his own kid.
No more good young teen actors
@@playstayawake yeah well not everyone is Stacy Dash or Gabrielle Union. Not everyone can play a teenager well into their 30s
@@playstayawake you missed the point that that boy *looks* 30...which is a big difference from just being 30.

Hello how are you doing?
This looks like an awesome movie I actually cried through the whole entire trailer right to see Christopher Bridges playing that role oh my goodness they pick the best man for the job
Yes they picked the best man! He was a very stern, loving Father, Marianne was too, Sasha Alexander's role
Kee, would you believe Chris asked to play my father Eldridge Buultjens. Chris read the script and asked for the role. So very blessed, he did my father proud.

Imagine will you. The year is 2004 you are blasting Ludacris’s album Chicken & Waffles in your bedroom. A time traveler from the year 2020 comes in the room with a futuristic looking hand held device and hits what looks to be the play button on it and this trailer comes on the screen. Ludacris adopting a 47 year old white mam still in high school and teaches him how to do tricks on a BMX bike. Mind blown.

To the people who think a rapper can’t also be an actor, I’ll bet you’re good at more than one thing. I’ll bet you’re GREAT at more than one thing!
Literally no one thinks that way or commented something like that here. It must be you who thought of something like that and probably realized "hey, I'm a racist mofo, better comment something to make myself feel good"
@@marloncanas6221 - I’ve seen comments everywhere Chris’s acting is posted. I’m a huge fan of his and decided to try a new way to encourage people to open their minds up BEFORE they say something negative. But you were half-right. My earlier comment started out longer and contained a little bitchiness, which I decided to delete. So I DID make myself feel good about that.

It's a film, fantasy. I'm in California, there were some well meaning people in this state that took in homeless people - they stopped doing it when one of the people that they took in, murdered them all. That's reality.
