If you’ve ever wondered how the most wretched times in our lives can become our greatest gifts, this is a can’t-miss episode of Messages of Hope.
Imagine you are a well-known, accomplished, physician with a New York Times bestseller. You’re an associate professor of Pediatrics at a major university. You’ve been interviewed on Oprah, Larry King Live, in Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles Times, and many other outlets.
And then you are convicted of a crime and sent to prison for two years of hard time.
This is Melvin Morse’s life. And he is filled with gratitude for every minute of it.
Join me this Sunday to hear how prison life changed Dr. Morse in the most unexpected and remarkable ways.
After an intervention by his fellow inmates, Dr. Morse gained tremendous insight into human behavior. He went on to teach remote viewing and meditation to other prisoners, learning more than he expected in return
This is a fascinating, uplifting, love-filled, honest interview that will touch your heart and may very well change how you view the world.
For more about Dr. Morse - whose medical license has been reinstated and who now works with The Recidivism Prevention Group which he co-founded, check out his website: www.melvinmorsemd.com/
We will all be interacting LIVE in the comments on the day of the premiere. Hope you'll join us.

  • I just found Suzanne video's I've been addicted. I had a experience on Wednesday and of course questioned it. And today I believe this video was my validation. Thank you all Suzanne Bev and Lynette this has changed everything for me. ❤️

    • I am having trouble with this video. It really bothers me that a 250 lb man could “rinse” his 60 pound anorexic step daughter in the tub. While I get that he has been convicted of child endangerment and he has transformed, just hearing that story triggers me. I, like many others in your audience come here for your messages of hope at a time when I am already grieving this one brought me down. I see many people had great value in it and that is good. I see you were touched. That is good. If I were able to get through it perhaps I would too. I am just stopped in my tracks with that visual and cannot hear it all. Suzanne I love your work. This was a hard, impactful, and triggering episode for me. It really surfaced how vulnerable I felt as a child, step child and still. Luckily I was never abused in that way but did have a lot of alcohol and violence surrounding me. I am sharing this comment not to influence your content production, rather to speak to perhaps just that one who was also triggered and let them know they are not alone. Looking forward to your next episode.

    • @@mmiller1011 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. As a former abuse investigator at a child crisis center, I understand that this could be difficult to hear for many people who’ve had those experiences. It’s okay not to listen. This a unique video among Suzanne’s work, AND there are many people for whom it could be transformational. Forgiveness of self and others is something many of us struggle with in this lifetime. Please know that Suzanne would not have had Dr. Morse on Messages of Hope if she had not felt into his heart and soul. Blessings to you, dear one.

  • I love this interview! It made me think about prison reform and also about the kids from the adolescent TX center I worked with. There are some that ended up in prison and turned their life around by taking responsibility for why they were there in prison. And others that didn't and could not forgive themselves or others for their situation. There is so much more to say...thank you!❤

  • Someone was visiting you in prison, Dr. Morse, and writing posts to keep us all updated. I was fascinated by all you were doing to help the men in your area of the prison. I admire you greatly for this act of respect and caring for these men. I had read at some point that your daughter had recanted her accusation. I was so thankful to hear this as I had not believed you would "water board" any child. We are all grateful the truth came out and you are free and had your license restored. Also, as you said, your experience in prison opened you to a lesson you didn't know you needed. Welcome out and welcome home.

  • I could not wait to watch this Podcast! I only just started watching it but just had to say that Dr. Melvin Morse's first book was the beginning of my journey and thirst for NDE's and all that the Spirit and Afterlife (across the veil) can teach us. It awakened in me that inner knowing and remembrance of our "true home". This was over 30 years ago. This is the first I am "listening" to or aware of all that has happened in Dr. Morse's life since I first read his book back in the 90's! I cannot wait to finish watching this podcast and cannot thank you both enough for this. I am sure I would write a "mini novel" of gratitude and more once I finish watching it. Blessings to you both, much love and light!!!! You are both amazing Souls whose "light" and wisdom is so needed in our world today!

I’ve been reading about you in admiration for your studies for decades. But I have to say, after learning about your time in prison tonight, my admiration has multiplied. I can't help but reflect how relevant self-awareness is to allowing one to reach personal forgiven in the journey of growth, especially when significant life lessons are being processed. I was truly humbled by his words and his strength in recognizing we still must bare responsibility for our actions; not through finding fault or being judgemental, simply accepting responsibility and understanding the suffering of another. And what a significant observation to mention the necessity of reforming our penal system in readdressing how we treat inmates and prepare them for a life beyond their sentencing. This is definitely a video I will watch repeatedly. I am filled with such gratitude for this video.

    • Thinking of what “would be if” gives me a sense of loss. Poor us the lost generation. Look what we could have become if only we were given something. Instead of focusing on what would be I rather think of how wonderful it is that we are the ones that are discovering those things now. How wonderful that we are the ones that can start doing it and become the change we are hoping to see in the world. We are the ones that can provide that to the next generations. We are a part of the change. Isn’t that wonderful? And look… we apparently don’t need the “quiet and safe” space for it. If people in prison can do it (hardly a quiet and safe space) what is our excuse?
