I met Alfie at an lta conference a few years ago - wow what a positive young athlete! I made a point last year to watch the wheelchair event at SW19 & Saw Niels Vink play...OMG! look him up on youtube - what an inspiration

Exciting, I've never heard of him before, but I haven't been a tennis fan for long either. But it's important & great that you're showing this - where can you watch wheelchair tennis? And where do these tournaments take place, what are they called? 26 Grand Slams - everyone should know him, wow! And I'm sure there are also wheelchairs for hips, which Jannik has, right? And what I like again are the people - the tennis people - like Jannik, but also others, as likeable as Alfie & like everyone else - a human being. No better, no worse. Do the legs always have to be tied together? Both an inspiration, even if Alfie has won many more Grand Slams than Jannik, also for example for disabled kids - anything is possible if you want it.
The 4 Grand Slam tournaments always include the wheelchair event, and you always find Alfie's name there.

They play fewer events total, but they have events at all of the majors and the olympics. Them having an exhibition at Miami suggests that maybe some 1000 point tournaments might be looking to add a wheelchair event, which would be awesome.

Alfie Hewett is such a cool person. The way he can move in the wheelchair is insane to me. Obviously he has way more practice than Jannik, but this video really puts into perspective how difficult it is to do what he does

Lol… I’m so used to just watching Gordon Reid and Allie Hewitt play together that whenever I hear their voice, I’m like “huh?” To be honest, I prefer watching wheelchair doubles. There’s more strategy, slower, gives me less anxiety, etc
