Had Marx got his way, society would be so happy being revolutionaries, there'd be no need for religion. He'd obviously never been to a Gulag.

  • This is very questionable interpretation of Marx's theory. He didn't say that you should remove religion, in order to remove repression, but the other way around. He said that if you remove repression, than the people wouldn't need, or use religion as a crutch. Maybe than we would have truly religious people, instead of this fast-food, pay-to-pray religion we have today.

    • He did say that to call on people to give up their illusions is to call on them to give up a condition which requires illusions. He did say that removing religion or convincing people of the false nature of their religion would force them to see the destitute reality of their condition, and motivate them to improve their condition.

  • Marx didn't say that if you take away religion then the working class will suddenly become aware of their oppression and rise up. The rest of the quote is 'Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions.' Marx believed that religion was a necessary expression of an oppressive socio-economic order. Its removal would not lead necessarily to a change in conditions.

    • For marx, Religion is an illusion! ITS a distraction from the real issue of social inequality..Religion is merely a byproduct of the human mind as a relief from the inequalities and hardships of life ( esp. as a proletart).its a mental escape.Marx claim ,this abstraction gives man a false sense of reality. It must be exposed to enable them free to face the real social conditions and inequalities at hand. Forming a classless society. where one doesnt have to project an illusory GOD or "world outside of themselves' is the ENDGOAL.Based on his concept of historical and dialectical materialism GENUINE .SOCIAL JUSTICE WAS HIS MAIN AGENDA,

Its a false sense of reality..For Marx this religious illusion gives men a false sense of hope becayse they become passive of the social conditions they are in. For Marx, rooting for an afterlife to correct this conditions is pathetic..It must be exposed.Unmasking this abstraction sets them free to resolve their social condition of inequality paving the way to a classless society..

  • Well there are many neurons in your brain that conduct electric charge between one another. The combination of those charges creates thoughts, logic, emotion, personality, and ultimately consciousness. The number of combinations of on/off charge between your neurons is so huge that the number of all humans who have ever lived is less than 0.001% of the number of those combinations.

If assume that quantums are particles that just move\behave like a wave, then it's just possibilities,BUT if it's something else, and if we assume that one particle of wave hit the whole possibility at the same time, we can assume that superposition IS all the possibilities at the same time.

The inquisition for example is derived from the basic truths held in the bible of 1: Only Christ is the true God, and others are false. 2: Spreading the "good word" Your interpretation of it may be different than others. Nevertheless it was a cause of many wars anyway.

In places on Earth where science cannot reach, all people can have is religion. It is only by living so comfortably in the arms of technology and science that you atheists can so comfortably say with certainty that there is no God. But for some, God is all they have. The problem lies in the way the political system of its day lays its claim to authority the the Pope of Rome. Roman Catholicism was and still is a political system. Thankfully we did pull its teeth out, but it will never give up its power. You cannot quote the Bible if you are a Christian to justify murder because it doesn't.

Unfortunately, people have a tendency to gravitate around popular ideas and can commit horrible things because "every one else is doing it". To blame this on religion is narrow minded. It is simply an unfortunate reality of human social living. Should religion disappear, another sociopath with a good stage presence will introduce a new "opium".

For example, the Catholic Church during medieval Europe and the time between it from before 1865. It had so much authority over followers, that it took centuries to loosen down its own grip, after it became overshadowed by the modern equivalent of the countries that it once ruled with a holy fist. By then, the hands of the religious zealots, became every day people. Leading to today.

  • This is a equally stupid claim, as the religious claim, that when you die, you go to heaven. Until we truly know, we must stop claiming both one and the other.

  • Gulags were during stalin era. Stalin was hardly a Marxist and was never meant to be in power. Learn more about the history. And saying that because so called marxist oppress thus religion was never a form of social control is an invalid argument. Why did Karl Marx say religion is an agent of social control? You didn't answer that question at all and that's crucial now I'm going to debunk your other videos

    @pzpshaz@pzpshaz9 жыл бұрын
    • Psasa He never said Stalin was a Marxist, you're looking for an argument where there isn't an argument to be had. The video is about religion as social control, not the finer points of the history of the Soviet leadership and their policies. Whether Stalin was suppose to be in power or not has nothing to do with religion as a social control.

  • /* by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord */ The same Jews who Jesus was? Who the NT writers where? The Bible is very clear that anyone who fights against the Jews, God Himself will fight against them and destroy them. And how did that work out for Hitler again????? I guess he was lying when he said he was acting on Gods behalf. "Will" is a Nietzsche idea which Hitler borrowed from his "Will to Power" book.

  • how do i know what happens after death: very simple after you die you become a dead body (that is known to human kind for ages). Your claim that there actually is an "after death" for the diseased has never been proven the fact that no-one ever returned from death to tell us of an "after death", strengthens my case, not yours

  • the only absolutely provable knowledge is math (well unless you wan to dive into philosophical BS about epistemology of reality & solipsism) Anyway your argument feels like a bait & switch. Yes Science hasn't & never will find absolute truth, but Christianity or any other religion has been proven wrong on so many little specifics like (the flood that never happened, or evolution, etc) that reasons demands to view any assertion made by religion untrue unless proven otherwise.

If you just started to get your reward for earning a decent life?

  • God sees! God sees everything... And gives space: time and patience... The corrupt human being is the very same, wether it is within the Church (which expels him when not complying with the dogma), in the senate, the military or the industry: administration systems are necessary. Christianity is undeniably the best around, where Jesus died for everyone's sins and expectations

    • Dustin Illingworth God is the Way (as is the Truth, as is the Life). The superficial notion of faith taken as a sustainable object in the coined phrase "system of beliefs" is the same thing faith-belief (subject to contingency) that people have in a football club. And sports are bound to fade before the Power of the Word contained in the little iron-age book dissipates: proof of the aforementioned is that the, oh, so evident pro anarchic-communist interest aimed at taking away all credibility from the State, hasn't been able to remove christianity from our peoples' politic taste (even though they pervade family bonding through a colossal media apparatus not giving a care about human suffering, where, to the contrary they generate irritation resolving itself in damaging the social fabric)

Jesus wasn't born on the shortest day. LOL!!!! Jesus was born in the Spring!!!! Am I dealing with an "idiot"? Nor was Horus born to a virgin. (Which, by the way is from the OLD TESTAMENT). Horus was born from after a Long Marriage after Isis took the "SEED" of her dead husband and injected into her after having "sex".
