  • Cool video, subbed. I think the sweet spot map size is around 33km (San Andreas size). Every game I saw beyond that I feel could have benefitted from fat trimming. I would rather not sink more than 30-40 hrs. into a game before reaching the conclusion. I like tight narratives, but I don't mind extra content to extend playtime past 40 hrs.

  • The Crew 2 has about 120km long (on road) (I don't remember how wide is). In fact, there's a coast to coast race and, in normal conditions, it takes like 35-40 minutes to finish it

  • I still have the copy of game informer that has the article that talks about FUEL being made and how the map is about as big as Connecticut. Amazing when you consider the year.   • It's not just the size of the world that matters. It's what you can do within that game space that makes a game great. GR Wildlands map is ten times larger than Skyrim, but I could play Skyrim ten times longer than Wildlands without it feeling repetitive.

  • The thing about RDR2's map is that even though it's not the biggest map, it's still pretty large. It's also incredibly detailed so those who may be complaining about how "small" the map is haven't taken the incredible amount of detail in consideration. The details make up for the "small" map.

    • Theo Gillan true, but you at least get a sense that this continent sized piece of land is actually, you know, a continent. Don’t get me wrong I like the look and feel of Skyrim and it does a pretty good job spacing areas, but real talk, it’s the size of a county, not a whole country.

  • It's one thing to have a vast area, but it's lot more impressive when it's filled with content. That's why the total of Mario Sunshine maps is richer than Megaton Rainfall's, even though the latter lets you travel the universe planet by planet, star by star, galaxy by galaxy, by uninterrupted flight.

  • The nice thing about the RDR Maps is while still being massive they really dont feel that way and you are not overwhelmed in a bad way. The map is still full of hundreds amazing litte secrets and stuff like that and never feels blank and just big like for example the Far Cry Maps sometimes.

  • It’s so cool comparing these games in sizes Like rdr2 feel bigger harder to traverse then The crew 2 because of the mode of transportation even though one map is clearly way bigger then the other one
