What an absolutely masterful set. I don't own it, but I saw it on display at my nearest Lego Store, and my God, what a beauty it is to behold. It's almost DOUBLE as big as I expected it to be, and just glimmers a majestic aura that I can barely attempt to describe. To those who own this set, I envy you so much, as this set is something we may never see again. I hope that someday I can get this set and set it up on display, because DEAR GOD!!! this is something special.

TITANIC
Federico Astica well now I want it more🤣
Why does this thing have to be so expensive it's a toy for crying out loud it should be affordable for everyone I guess I could just buy a bunch of plain lego bricks and build my own titanic for cheaper some guy did that on you tube and his version had more pieces than this one it had 11,000 pieces but wasn't as clean looking as this one
I love how they added all the blue bits in the interior like water
After scrambling and calling all over town to get this set, as it seems people are buying these and reselling for 40% mark-up on the internet which ends up screwing the parents trying to get one for their kid. He's not a spoiled kid by any means, he's worked hard in school and is truly a good kid. Anyway, I finally did find one, not easy by any means. Got it for my son's 15th Birthday and he was so excited because he's a huge Titanic fan and has been for many years, so I was determined to get it for him since he gets good grades. I normally don't spend this kind of money on Lego's for my son but he earned it. Lucky I could find one at regular retail price. I was somewhat worried he would have a hard time finishing it. Its a huge build with over 9,000 pieces and the box weighed 32LBS. My son finished it in 3 days and it looks wonderful. He was definitely on a mission to get this kit built. He's over the moon. He added some interior light effects and looks amazing. If your in the market to get one, goodluck on your search without being by gouged by internet resellers. Be patient and call around the different lego stores and get there early, they will not hold them for you.
nice. i wish my parents did the sme too, i am approaching my 15th birthday, and i never had legos of my own. altho i am very good at using legod
@@ManWithSum You can find used ones that people sell for a decent price just make sure you wash them in soap & water. But its always better to get a new one if yiu can. Perhaps you can ask your parents for an allowance in exchange for chores., then save up. Goodluck young man.
Id buy this for myself.. my son would help me.
This is the biggest Lego set I’ve seen in my entire life wow, we wow wow
just imagine if they actually did ALL of the interior details. That would be like 20k pieces
minimum =D
The set would be like 3 meters long and 40 cm in width
This would mean another 100 hours of build in at least
would also cost $20K

I love how it is sooooo big and beautiful
I'm confused by your edit - when you're building the first section of the stern for some reason it's actually footage of the bow (as there are boilers where the gaps for the engines should be) Watch it back to see what I mean
Yes, i also notice the middle section (which is done in two parts) is actually just part 1 repeated twice (Boiler room bulk head) until it gets to the top visible section.. In the actual build Part 1 is the boiler bulk head and part 2 is space for the engines from the stern.
Thought I was losing my mind. Glad I’m not the only one who noticed that.
@@shendron07 same here
Because that section of the ship housed Boiler Room 6, which had four boilers and was at the front of the ship. It was one of the compartments to be damaged and started flooding when the ship struck the berg
The real titanic was already damaged before it hit the iceberg there was a fire in one of the cole bunkers that was allowed to burn which damaged the hull in that location which is why in some old photos you can see a big black mark on the side of the hull that was the damage from the fire

When do we get an Oceabgate Titan set to display alongside the titanic?
What about a lego iceberg
In 100 more years
This video was so interesting I can’t stop watching it
The boxes would be cool to display even by themselves
It’s crazy how it has three extra boxes in one box kinda like the colosseum 🤯
the ucs at-at, millennium falcon, star destroyer, and a bunch of other huge lego star wars sets do that too.
@@biged680 I'm pretty sure it's actually a design thing. Some older set boxes lose shape as the bags push the cardboard out. These extra boxes are designed to hold the weight of the bags. You will find it in a lot more sets than just the ones you named, especially 1500 piece plus sets from the last 3 years
@@psychoticAjAX makes sense
This is an absolutely jaw dropping set
Imagine if a Lego designer took this set and reskinned it into Titanic’s sister ships: the HMHS Britannic or the RMS Olympic.

It's been almost 2 decades since I last played with Legos, but seeing this is tempting me to buy and build this thing.
Been a while since a played with Lego but learning guitar makes me want to buy everything guitar and that includes the Lego fender strat which I will buy tomorrow
Now if only it could float, it would be the most perfect Lego model of Titanic
No it flips over
But I can just hold it with my hand, ez
Im looking forward to buy this LEGO masterpiece essential for every collector.
It has a bit fewer pieces than the MOC version of the Titanic you built about 3 years ago, but I'm surprised you actually managed to build it.
Yea that one was a different style of Lego building just using bricks
The moc version is kinda weird the bricks stick out on the hull in the front and back where on this version the hull is smooth all away around this one has more of a rounded bottom where the moc version is totally flat
I like how he's been using the same knife for over 7 or 8 years
i couldn't believe how true to scale this set's design was - after building i tried floating it in a bathtube and sure enough it sank in exactly the same time as the real ship (when factored for scale). my set now resides in a few pieces at the bottom of a 200 gallon fish tank.
i dont know if this is sad or creative

I have the Cobi Titanic, which is better.
@@Nikioko Why is it better?
@@Bigmakxz The hull is like a real ship hull and not like an axe head. The Lego model has two bends at the side and not a smooth shape. And the bow is too steep. Overall, the Lego model is too clunky. Not to mention the price value ratio.
@@Nikioko it's still pretty smooth considering it's made out of blocks.

Love the Titanic and this set it looks amazing this is the dream lego set of mine. Its quite detailed and would make a amazing display.

Just thought I would point out that somehow your footage from bag 5 at the bow(4:46), ended up as bag 29 at the stern section but reversed(24:19). I noticed that we were seeing a rear boiler room where the engines go, but then they were there several steps later. Plus the pool made a comeback on the opposite side. 😉
yea I got confused because I also have the titanic and I watched this video
Just so there isn’t an issue my dude, the image in the upper left of the book shows the specific part of the ship is being built

Having recently built the set, I have a great appreciation for this video. I'm currently in the process of adding illumination from a "Light My Bricks" kit.
Wow propably will look really cool in the dark with the lights!
I want to do that with mine, but it seems like it would be a nightmare to do.
It was no small task and the connectors are tiny, but the end result is absolutely stunning. The lights make this thing come alive.
I just ordered this set and I'm watching this and realizing what I'm in store for.
I scan picture the real titanic sinking in my head I’m glad to know Lego did this

What happens if you open it and some of the lifeboats are missing?

Thank you for this, it is quite enjoyable. If I ever bought and built this set, I'd never take it apart. :)
taking them apart is satisfying, especially when you do it a few times and memorize all the steps
I just watched the Cobi RMS Titanic build before this video. Some of the commenters were comparing it to this set being as good. Are you kidding? My son and I have been building lego sets for over thirty years and nothing compares to Lego. We built the New hope Star Destroyer and was the biggest and funnest set we ever built. We’ll probably buy this set for ourselves this Christmas. If people want to waste their money on that other crap have at it.
Getting this set is like getting first class on the ship.
I think at 24:07 you have the bow section build repeated
And?
The Bow Is Book 1. He's On Book 3 Sameer.

Beautiful, love the build! a thought, meaby synchronize the music you have in the beginning to have it at the the end like an epic conclusion of the build?
Looks like a good present for the kids
Great video, watched this several times and bough the set myself. There is an editing glitch, the part of the video showing hull section 5 being built is actually section 2. This isn’t corrected until 27:46 when section 5 is then shown. There are no swimming pool in sections4/5 and you don’t see the central propeller low pressure turbine being constructed.
Love your speed builds
This is not really a speed build he just speeds up the video to make it look like he's going fast plus he edits out most of the parts where he's reading the directions

It would be cheaper to just buy a bunch of plain lego bricks and build your own it can be done but the detailed parts need to be specially ordered for example the propellers deck chains rudder piece etc. The reason it's so expensive is because it's a lego set
