I just figured this out about the index finger few days ago. My shots lack of power due to holding tightly the handle with the index finger. I fixed this, and my smashes and other overhead shots become better. But it took me 2 years to realize this problem :(. Your videos are very helpful, the best channel that I've found on the Internet. Keep the good work. Thanks for the great video.
Always relax... Even your fingers are relaxed... From there every stroke comes out.
Man i have been playing for 5-6 years and i have competed for around 4 years and i know i should have a loose grip and what grip to have but i didnt know how to have that type of loose grip, this video was really helpful and inspirational.
Took me like 6 years, now ive got to learn the rest 😅
Too much to learn from a single vid, so much experience distilled in less than 5 minutes, thanks Coach Han❤️💫
thank you for watching🙂
Excellent video, thanks coach. The close ups, slow motion and subtitles are so helpful.
I'm glad~
I have seen many videos of the badminton by different coaches. I have never seen such clear demonstration of the techniques and whole heartedly I would accept you as my guru. Awesome keep up the good work
Thank you so much~! :-)
This is the most precise and clear video for actual badminton gripping method i have seen on youtube.thank you 👍
thank u for watching🙂
Absolutely amazing, for the first time I’ve watched something useful and without trash talk. You’re a legend
it's my honor. thanks :-)
This is an excellent video on "finger power" and grip. I think this should be taught right after footwork.
:-) thanks
I watched other youtuber content about Badminton...You talk less... but I learn more... Your videos are pure magic..
thank you so much :-)
I have to comment as this may be one of the best videos ever across all channels. Tremendous video on grip. Salute
Thank you. We will do our best to make better videos.
라켓을 엄지+검지로 컨트롤 한다는 것만이 정답은 아닙니다. 이와 반대인 그립을 사용하는 사람도 분명 있습니다. 나중에 이를 비교할 수 있는 영상도 만들어보겠습니다. It's not only right answer to just control the racquet with thumb and index finger. Some people control the grip with the middle and ring fingers. I'll make a video to compare them later.

I just watch this video last night n try this kind of grip when I play this morning. I am amazed, I feel that my smash gets more powerfull, my reaction time gets faster, n my defense becomes more solid. Such small details, but change my game a lot. Thanks Coach. Greetings from Indonesia🇮🇩
When we write, we hold the pen with our thumb and forefinger. The same goes for spoons and chopsticks. This means that the thumb and index finger are the most sensitive and quick fingers. On the other hand, if you need to lift heavy objects, use your middle and ring fingers. keep in mind Each of your fingers has a different role. controller, power generator. Keep practicing and make it completely yours.
@@full-swing yes Coach, thanks for the advice. I will note those details n try practicing it
Best video I’ve seen of all in techniques. I am a high-school student trying to learn and practice, so I am glad I came across this channel! ❤

Thanks Coach very helpful

감사합니다🙂
Thanks coach ,, 💖💖
your welcome~
Thanks. Love From Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
thank you!
This video actually helped me alot because my coach never told me the real concepts behind different types of grips and why we hold them that way but after watching your video it is crystal clear. I have to tell you something and that is I've two thumbs in my right hand which means i have 6 fingers in total in my right hand so can you please make a video on it too.
Um...well. I don't know because I haven't seen it myself. I need to know how your fingers work and what power they can produce... I don't know right now. However, I think it would be better for you to know the principle of exercise first than the technical one. I will make a video about this.
@@full-swing Yes yes. And take your time sir there is no hurry. Think about it and it would be really helpful for me because i sometimes find myself uncomfortable with the grip because of that double thumb. I hope you understand and thanks again Sir 🙏🏻
와 진짜 좋은 영상입니다 👍 👍 👍
감사합니다👍
Great video, I learned a lot
:-) good~
Amazing video bro. I learn so much. Thank you

not at all~ :-)
I Really like your training ❤️
thanks~! :-)
❤ useful and hidden legend trick thank you
:-)
Very nice
Very nice tips. Thanks
thank you very much🙂
hey coach, i heard from my coach that most of the power from your shots comes from your fingers. is that true? if so, could u make a tutorial related to it? thanks!!!
yeah. I will.
Its true💪
In that video, you should highlight the importance of the "gap" in the palm of the hand. In western world, they use hand shake as an analogy of sliding the racket into the hand to hold the racket but ignore the gap in the palm. Often there is no gap in the palm of the hand when you observe a western player's hand or the grip in the hand.
@@everyeniw that is why their swing speed is very very very fast
SO HELPFUL!!!
GOOD!!
i feel something's off with my grip, it generates way less power i put in. After watching a lot of tutorials, this vid is the answer i have been looking for, thank you very much
I'm glad it was helpful to you. Keep in mind that different fingers have different functions, and practice. Control is thumb and index finger. The other fingers are power-generating.
What a vedio, never seen such a specific vedio on finger
thanks a lot
Excellent video :) thank you

我必須要多看幾次跟練習尤其是正反換拍,真的是很棒的教學

yes. I will.
@@full-swing 💛
Pls make a tutorial on how to hold a racket in drive, smash, etc..
hi Coach.. when playing doubles.. and ur partner lifts the shuttle high up in the air, what defense preparation grip would u use? would u prepare by using the grip in 1:58? or full thumb back hand grip? I love ur content and thank you in advance Coach !!
Unless it's a shuttlecock that comes in front of your face, it's almost impossible to use your full thumb. When I first teach badminton to beginners, I refer to the full thumb as the backhand grip for convenience. Even if you tell me about various grips, not only beginners can't do it, but they do it because they think it's difficult.
@@full-swing Thank you for replying Coach... so should I just prepare my defense with the grip uve shown at 1:58 ? because what happens when the opponent smash flat at u and u want to block or do a backhand push? if I'm using the grip at 1:58 .. would I be too slow to respond?
Yes. I mostly use that grip. Changing the grip itself takes time and causes inaccuracies. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to make every stroke without changing the grip frequently?
@@full-swing got it! TYVM
Dude what racket is it it looks so good
