I wanted to see this because of all of those players there and not there in the blink of an eye. Some are still playing very rarely Ronaldo maybe and some other youngsters for a couple more years now writing this, others are coaches, most retired including coaches and some maybe have passed like Reyes from Arsenal this was beautiful to see and also sad but I’m trying to keep it strong it is life and you have to be grateful to what you want to see! If Henry hadn’t of been injured this would have been an easy day at the office for Arsenal. He’d scored over 30 goals that season.. How they still got it done without him is the reason they were the invincible’s R.I.P Reyes you were truly a special talent who loved the club. Was 17 years old when I saw this game on telly in Melbourne I’m 32 now and still haven’t missed a game. Arteta please bring back the glory days. I remember this match as being one sided where United run circles around Arsenal and still lost on penalties. Cr7 and Rooney were complete nightmare to the gunners. I remember reading a newspaper "Arsenal win the title but not the glory". And talking of glory, Liverpool heroic comeback against Milan, at Instanbul (which happened the same season) will always be remembered as the greatest UCL final ever.

Remember this match so well literally 3-4 days b4 my first GCSE exam. Back in the glorious times when Arsenal and utd were fighting for trophies until Chelsea Russian roulette ruined the game. How did we win this game we defended for literally the whole game
*Thierry Henry was unavailable* for the match and Sol Campbell was just back from injury so dropping back quickly from a high press and winning aerial battles in our own third was tactically not in the cards. Arsène Wenger lined up his XI in a 4-5-1 and most of our energies were devoted to keeping a clean sheet. Our only real chance on the day was to park the bus, grind out 120 minutes, and carry it over the line in a penalty shootout. For anybody else that would sound like hindsight but that is just how brilliant a tactician Wenger was.
We had majority possession and they Played deep in their half.
If ManUtd won like this it's a robbery.....Then again ManUtd never do play this bad usually much more deserving of their trophies winning things at a canter and/or bring top scorers etc...
Millenium Stadium (with it’s stands close to the pitch) had a much better atmosphere for Finals than new Wembley, much more aesthetically pleasing pitch as well.

Between 1996/97 from IanWright's 2nd yellow escape foul on Schmeichel to Henry's offside brace vs ManUtd 2003 Arsenal can't talk about other teams getting decisions. If Arsenal didn't get decisions vs ManUtd they wouldn't have won the 97/98 PL, the FAcup semi-final 1999 wouldn't have even got to a replay, 1999 Charity shield would've been won by ManUtd instead of Vieira diving all over the place and being dirty but managing to stay on the pitch and win a pen turning gane around etc... And if Arsenal didn't get decisions against other teams they would've lost loads way before 49 unbeaten PL games. I remember in particular Portsmouth at home 2003/04 & Fulham away 2004/05 but also ManUtd should've had a pen at Highbury 2003/04 in the 1-1 draw.
