It's been a Great experience and I will retourn for win next year !

Lorenzo had much more techincality and his double loops where much more aggressive. I don't agree at all with final result.
Andrea did only double downloop, it's a joke. lorenzo riding is on an other league. in the semi he scored 9 for less than he did on the final and he didn't get any 9. there is a problem with the judges. or there is something else???

I was surprised too. It seemed close but Andrea did his 4th contra for 9.44. That seems too high.
What Lorenzo has done in such a short time with Harlem is something to be written in the books. I think he should have won the Final, more tech tricks than Andrea and much more varieties.

final was so so crazy. 4th time watching it now. I think your riding style is now SO different to Andrea that it is hard to compare. Both amazing in different ways. You deserved to win just as much. Head up and keep the pressure on - you are one of the only people in the world that can fight with Andrea. Let's do another blank test with all 3 of you. xxxxxxxx
people say Andrea jumped higher, but how can they tell when you see it in front of a monitor or tv? Check the woo and Andrea did 8 jumps with a total height of 97 meters giving him an average jump height 12,1 m, Lorenzo did 13 jumps with a total height of 165m giving him an average jump height of 12,7. Andrea had an average air time of 4,2 seconds and Lorenzo 4,5 seconds. Andreas highest jump was 18 meters and Lorenzo 17.6 meters. So saying Andrea jumped higher to me is a vast overstatement. Add to that Lorenzo had a more aggressive style with lower kite angle in his loops. For me its very weird how Andrea could win that.

Lorenzo you are the true winner for the fans. Your journey was absolutely thrilling this year and you won that final by a large margin.
But why look Andrea Kiteangle that high always ? For me Lorenzo should win this Finale way more aggressive tricks! But anyways big shoot out to the guys what a epic show !!!

"Height is 70% of the score" - Redbull KOTA. What an absolute BS is that. We already saw that in the heat Marc vs Jamie where Marc scored high numbers with doubles on 7-10 meter height. How can you get an 8.x for a boogie double on 7 meter height when your competitor in the same conditions is boosting 20M? In the meanwhile Jamie was boosting up to 20 meter but not getting those scores. Same in this heat. Jeremy was absolutely going to the moon, reaching significantly more height than the others. But didn't get rewarded for it. The moment a low straight double loop gets scored higher than a 20m heigh " kite/contraloop, board-off quadruple late backroll", that is the moment I think the sport is heading in the wrong direction. Or at least it should be the moment to admit for RB that the "it's all about height" is not true anymore. It's obvious that risk is getting rewarded more and more, over control and height. Take more risk, double loop, triple loop, get a higher score. This should not be the case. A trick should score high based on how hard the trick is to execute for others, not because you are one of the few people crazy enough to take the risk to break your legs by pulling a barely catching double loop. Really, pulling a double loop (on low height, with super small kite) is not even 10% as hard to learn compared to a board-off contra triple late back. Still it gets higher scores. If you start motivating people to take more risk by rewarding it, there will be a day that competition organizers will regret that, the day someone get seriously injured. Please give me back BIG-AIR. Take your 9 meter guys, boost as high as you can and pull loops that launches you from one side of the field to the other. Just my opinion :)
I agree with you on the 70% score rule. If judges say this and then one rider goes to 12 mt and the other to 20 and loose, there is something wrong in their message for the riders and the public. I disagree on the rest . For this principle, Kevin should compete again and the Big Air would have been stacked again where like it's been for the last 10 years without big innovations? And for this same principle the freestyle would have never rewarded the triples and being stacked to a single handle pass ? Also your example is not techincally correct. You should compare a easy 10 mt jump with a single loop to a easy 10 mt double and you will realise how is much more complicated when the double loose line tension on the second loop. Try a board off contra triple late back or a doobie double loop and understand where is the difference in the game. Do you really think is more difficult to go just higher than make tricks in power zone ? So we can transform Kota in a Foil event in which also the most unknow and modest rider of the planet at 50 yrs can go easily at 30 mt with a foil kite and make his show like a circus attraction .... that's not progressing the sport for me. My idea is that the sport progressed so fast that judges and a lot of people out there have serious difficulties in understand what's happening and are not able to give the right weight to the innovation. The S-Loop of Lorenzo is something they simply never saw before and they weren't able to evaluate it in the proper way. They fixed their attention to the height only, but they totally lost the innovation in that approach. Is not wrong goin lower with kites and if this is the direction is welcome for me casue is spectalular . You also say "a trick should be scored on how hard the trick is to be executed for others". Lorenzo was the only one goin hard in power zones in the doubleloops. Many riders were doin what Lorenzo made last years (incredibly high tornados , adding even more rotation) , but Lorenzo gaved up to this direction as was already "old" for him. It's been Lorenzo only to go lower and in power zone with doubles cause that's the next level. Andrea was still floating in the air like a salami and looking the Woo results wasn't even higher than Lorenzo that was more in power zone. And this is the true shame in this heat for me . Andrea is able to make the circus with hands , things in which Lorenzo showed easily to go , but Andrea is not able to go in Power zone to make his circus, while Lorenzo was doing...whatever rider know that is not complicated make the clown under the kite but is terribly hard while the kite is pushing you forwards...imagine during the doubles what's these ratios are....i repeat that for me this result it's a pure THEFT for what Lorenzo showed more than Andrea and the judges have the obession of rewarding too much always Andrea just cause he's always winning and they have even fear to penalise him in their scores to pass like the ones that are not adeguate to his power. In each sport of judges there is an unconscious "psycological subjection", ando fr me this is comed out when Lorenzo got higher scores aginst Jaime than the ones in the final against Andrea in which he made a better hudge higher show but having lower scores than the previous heat...
Lorenzo should've won this.

Judges should make a seminary and learn the Lesson 1 , " Kiteloop is in power (watch Lorenzo's ones ) and heliloop is not (watch Andrea's ones "loop" ) ...and of course there is something else under the scene...can you imagine the big Duotone, that fucked up Lorenzo, and wasn't even able to take him back, beated from him in this Kota , with a brand that no one knewed before, after all the money they invested ? Lorenzo didn't even get a 9, not even for the CRAZIEST S-LOOP EVER seen in kite history ! UNREAL judges ! All was already written for Andrea, I just saw the BIGGER THEFT in kite history competitions ....

This heat was legandary. Wow. You nailed it. Your tricks were nuts. In the end the judges wanted to see higher tricks I guess and I wonder if Harlem needs to give you an alula kite as well to get this extra 2 meters. Wonder what you could have done with this stuff? But I dont know. You are my real winner of this event for sure. However, you guys really pushed the limits!
The most incredible final we never saw. Thanks ! Crazy how close is the security Jet for the second Snake... This can be strongly disturbing for the riders.

IMHO its megaloop, big air, with variations, now it looks like a freestyle contest where it doesn't count how high you jump, hereby the event is going the wrong direction, or the definition of the event has to change

Andrea is ALWAYS overscored (also in Megaloop Red Bull). Hs kiter angles are a JOKE, but still judges choose to overscore a S-Loop that’s had ridiculous angles, just becose he taked off the boards while the kite is not pushing, and they doesn’t give neither 9 to the BEST EVER SEEN REAL S-loop of Lorenzo , something we HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE neither similar in +30 yrs kite history...UN REAL
