Tesla Powered Hummer H1 EV - The Ultimate Off Roader?
In today's video we discuss the new 2022 Hummer H1 EV, a 1272hp Tesla Powered H1 by a company called North American Electric Vehicles. This thing is insane! Be sure to join in the conversation and let me know what your thoughts are on this Tesla powered Hummer H1.

In before everyone gets mad that it's electric! 🙌
Gotta be honest... that thing is siiiick.
Right? I gotta see one in person! Also, love your channel Zack! Thanks for stopping by mine!
That is a beast! 750 mile range is insane.
It's also total BS. That vehicle would need around 4 tons of lithium to get there with the weight and aerodynamics of a Hummer.
@@shortattentionspangarage1312 not necessarily. The portal hubs would make a huge difference here. A lot less juice needed to keep it moving. Same reason people droppong 4 cyl's in humvees and letting em crawl til Valhalla
Totally approved. Finally a dedicated company in bringing up used cars to electric with style and very competitive!!!!
I like the battery location and the use of the two motors compared to JerryRig’s. But I have a feeling Plan B Supply could do these conversions cheaper and more than six a year.
I absolutely 100% love the H one EV
NAEV is in Canada btw. Great leadership. Meticulous attention to detail. 750 range should not be a problem. Lucid Air is around 500 for a luxury sedan. I am however lost concerning the towing capacity of only 10,000. 4,000 ft lbs of torque. Cool. How about towing capacity of say 30,000? I wonder if the smaller size of the vehicle is a limiting factor when it comes to towing capacity. I think it weighs under 8,000 lbs or 4 tons or close to it. I did not hear you say 4WD or is that just understood? Thanks for your excitement. $350,000 is only $100,000 more than the tiny AMG BY MERCEDES BENZ. I barely have any knee room in that thing. Oh well, I need something almost head on collision proof!!! Good luck!
No way it’s getting 750 with those tires.
And no way is getting 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds. The aerodynamics of the Hummer H1 is terrible.
Entirely possible if you shove several kwh of batteries in it. Each Tesla module is 5-7kwh depending on the model. Plenty of room to shove two entire 100kwh battery packs in this thing.
Jerry rig everything is doing this in his garage
Is this h1ev build still available from north america electric vehicle
Recently, I’m in love with the Hummer EV. But it’s hard to beat the h1, h2, and h3 body
it should be called Thor. I like that truck.
I like it alot. But how are the electrics in it for, how deep can it go??? I miss driving military and civilian 1's. Just saying. They don't last on the beech as a patrol unit. But it was fun helping them get 1. WOW then I had to work on it all the time. Rusty chassis
Just curious how many Tesla modules they are using to power this thing. Battery size must be well over 100kwh probably 200kwh
the electric function is cool but tbh most people don't know how to maintain or fix an electric motor and tesla motors are designed to fail and they are impossible to work on I had a friend with a tesla models 3 and I couldn't even get into the thing with ought the car saying, "theft alert" and not just that if u go to the undercarriage u can't unbolt anything they have everything welded so u can't repair it! and there's so many covers to take of but still it's pretty cool if they can get into it
Surplus military H1 are going to Rocket in value as they become rare and are considered as the quintessential Electrical build for diy people They are currently worth $20,000 running with registration I see that tripling in a few years.
How long does it take to charge?
Tesla modules are capable of being charged at 1C or a 1'ish hour rate if you can pump that much energy into them. Guessing this thing is a 200kwh battery so if you have access to a 200kw charger I think its theoretically possible to charge in a little over an hour but that depends on the cooling used for the modules. Proper cooling is likely needed and I'm sure they have done so.
What a fun truck. What a beauty
Cost?
I wish I could buy it!!! Darn!!! Awesome Hummer!!!
I doubt the 750 range number, how much battery is that 300-400kwh?
It`s motors are in line under the H1, 1 for each axel(i reckon the inverters have been moved) i`d be surprised if there is less than 10 tesla modules under it and between the motors and another 10 or more spread around it... (you can get 100kw in a land rover)
Not bad TBH 🧐
👍🏼okay I want one .. They did an amazing job, and it looks very beautiful as well 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching John!
@@BrianMello .. your welcome Brian 👍🏼😉
why electrict only, why only pickup form? i want a complete 2022 h1 hummer, which uses gasoline.. i dont know whether electric cars are useable in Africa.
Wouldn't it be better to use some old toyota? Considering they're cheap and reliable
It's Spaceball One, they've gone PLAID!
Don’t think anyone is hateful to EV the H1. Just love the H1 and don’t care if it’s Diesel electric heck nuclear power H1s are awesome!
definitely worth the money over any luxury supercar
That thing is beautiful
God damn, that thing is beautiful... and is 10 times better being Electric !!
When gas prices go up but still want to drive your dream car. You volt swap it.
Jerryriggs is building the military electric hummer atm, check his KZhead channel out its nuts
Oh! Ya!🤪🇺🇸
Built video on these ?
As shown it will not pass Massachusetts motor vehicle safety inspection!
I'm all for EV Hummers. I want the cybertruck.
Speak about reinventing the wheels and reinventing the automobile, rengineering, you're right some people will get upset because it's electric but if it is good enough to perform just as good as the ice engine that is good that where the world is going electric some guys are diy their self and as their own project by transforming 4x4 vehicles into electric by using tesla kit.
they seem to be using a separate noisy hydraulic pump for the brakes and steering. i see they have removed the CTIS system. they are asking for too much money for an electric toy
Agree but most humvees don't have CTIS
@@hummerguy I did not know this, I taught most of them come equipped with it. Then they removed it because of the leaky spindle and seal. BTW sweet channel you got there, I guess time for you to buy a Hummer now and make videos about it
@@AH-mj1rd Yea, most don't have the CTIS, all of the H1 came with it but not many humvees did. Thanks man, actually just bought a humvee off of govplanet a couple of weeks ago, I'm waiting on this long process with the govt
@@hummerguy I had a petrol civilian H1 with CTIS, it always leaked. Miss the thing since selling it. I subbed your channel, waiting to see videos about your humvee
@@AH-mj1rd Yea, I heard about that happening a lot, I was considering trying to add CTIS on my humvee when I get it but seeing how much it leaks is a turn off
Beautiful 😍
Wow 😳
เท่ สวย แกร่ง อยากได้ครับ from Thailand
I like this !😀👍
I'm pretty sure at least one of the US millitary branches will buy one of these for testing lol
GM is already making them some pretty crazy stuff! Thanks for watching Collin!
The numbers behind this vehicle sound too good to be true. I call BS.
This is FCKNG SICK 🥵
Bad Ass!
I'm calling BS on the 750 miles...
Entirely possible. Tons of room to shove hundreds of KWH of battery in there.
😛 Sick, l don't get it, whats to hate on? 🤔 l would love to be able to afford one, to follow what Brian said about being taken out to test drive one, l will follow that with, can l drive one around for you, to advertise it, free of course. For like ever.💚 😄 ✌🏼.
I like hummer😍 but Very Expensive 😔💔
dosent gm own the h1 name still why does tesla use gm hummer h1 instead of making there own suv and use a diffrent name since gm made the new electric hummer i think they should bring back a new body style ev h1 and h2 hummer ev for gmc brand
Tesla have nothing to do with this vehicle - It´s hand build, but North American Electric Vehicles are proberbly useing Tesla parts- a lot of car modyfiers are using Tesla parts.
stop calling it an H1....
Wowwwwwww😎
Overpriced 😳
These were junk in the military and now they made into dumpster fire
This thing is a expensive barn fire waiting to set off. If it has 750 mile range which it means it has a shit ton of batteries and if you remotely go off roading in the desert or somewhere remote and hot you're more then likely going to overheat these bad boys and then cause a fire. Once that fire starts you'll be in a remote location and forced to watch a 300,000 fire.... Point is that it's actual fuction is more theoretical then what it can do. More then likely it will be used by some rich soccer mom to get grocieries... But yea it'll be cool to look at in the grocery or shopping center parking lot for sure. Find me the tesla that can do desert runs, They're known to overheat in less then ideal enviorments, which is exactly what you're doing when you off road.
ykr?
LOL you are insane. Best safety it to avoid ever catching on fire. The track record and probabiltiy of a Tesla catching fire is much less than a Petrol or Diesel vehicle. No it's not going t overheat because it's off roading, it will reduce power way before that. You most likely will never even stress it out enough to get it hot. Sure in the insanely small chance is does catch fire there is no way to put it out. But there is NO Concussive Blast thus you can even crawl away from a fire injured like Richard Hammond. BEVs are way safer and that is just harsh truth Fact. Nothing you said has any technical accruacy. Just insane false assumption.
@@Neojhun kzhead.info/sun/dLF8dtOtm6uPq4k/bejne.html make sure you make it big enough for your head
lool, they are cooled. If a gaz engine can make it the batteries will. There is litarelly explosion in them. ANd they can be cooled so batteries will be cool even better
You're smoothbrain as all get out if you think the Tesla modules are "an expensive barn fire". You clearly know nothing about the chemistry or the module construction to think that the cells would just spontaneously combust.
Ugh....still electric garbage
