  • A few things here, 1 that is not a bowie due to lack of clip point, 2 there is no forging as previously stated in title, and 3 that handle is a serious worry for coming apart due to no pinned connection. Glue connections are notoriously weak on hidden tang knives a single pin in the antler will increase structural integrity a bunch. Other than that nice work.

    • Thanks for the feedback! This is a harpoon point bowie design with the long clip point. There's no false edge on this one like you would find on many traditional bowies, but there are plenty of historical bowie knives which also do not feature a false edge (eg. Edwin Forrest, Searles and Perkins bowies). The "No talking just forging" is the name of this series where I just show the process. I'm planning on doing another series where I explain what I'm doing as I go. Sometimes I don't actually forge the knives, but I thought it was a catchy title opposed to "no talking sometimes forging but other times stock removal" 😂 I do forging in the previous video (the pirate knife one) Pins are definitely stronger, and for choppers I'd always pin the handle. But for a slicing knife the epoxy will be strong enough.

    • Everybody's a critic. Give the man some credit for making a knife. Why don't you make a perfect knife, you seem to know all about it.

    • @@bodiejay2859 I was giving constructive criticism, also if you notice at the bottom of my comment I complimented his work. Maybe read the whole comment before jumping to conclusions.

    • Haha its just the title of the series. Thought it was catchier than "No Talking - Sometimes Forging, Other Times Stock Removal" 😂
