Day In The Life With Chronic Pain | Endometriosis Flare | Self-care Day

Hello Sweet Babes, I just wanted to share what a day in the life with chronic illness such as endometriosis looks like. On days like this one I wake up feeling worn down with a lot of pain in my hips, back and neck. I also experience a lot of fatigue and dizziness.
From the moment I start my morning, I try and proceed with intention and care for myself and my body. Taking time for yoga, massage, and healthy food really helps me heal from the pain of endo.
Some of the things I have/use in this video:
The Etsy store I got my earrings from: www.etsy.com/shop/Feistyinkde...
Heating Pad: www.amazon.com/PureRelief-Fas...
CBD Oil: greenmountaincbd.myshopify.co...
(Not so) Pregnancy pillow: www.amazon.com/Organic-Smart-...
Valerian Root Extract: www.amazon.com/Mason-Valerian...

    • @darkerimage1235 Wow you took the words right out of my mouth!! I’ve had endometriosis for 14/15 years off and on.. Thank God it hasn’t affected my fertility 🙏🏽.. The ones who don’t feel it, don’t suffer with it and don’t realise how intense it can get in many aspects, I don’t think they’d be able to stand straight for a minute. Wish some could really take the time to know and understand what we go through, especially when a flare up can last for days. Life with this condition would be easier to deal with if we had more understanding and less judgement.. God Bless 🙏🏽

    • Try drinking ginger tea for consumption...it helped me so much and it flattens your belly aswell. Use a small amount of sugar due to the fact that it could cause diarrhea. Also CBD oil will help you eat... I had the same problem in the past of not eating but the oil made food taste delicious..lol..trust me..

  • I have been living in my bathtub this week but today it is kicking my ass. I stayed home from work because of the fatigue and headache I woke up with. I was diagnosed a couple of months ago and I have been researching the shit out of Endometriosis. So far I've had an IUD inserted and started doing exercise to strengthen my pelvic floor. I am going to begin the "diet" phase soon where I am going to have to avoid foods that cause inflammation. Damn, it's just good to know we are not alone in this.

    @haleboppshebopp@haleboppshebopp5 жыл бұрын
    • Hello Hailie, what sort of exercises do you do to strengthen your pelvic floor?

      @arimarino3947@arimarino39475 жыл бұрын
    • Diet is the best thing you can do to relieve symptoms but you have to stick to it for the long haul. I’m gluten, dairy and sugar (white processed sugars) free for over 2 years and I’m still in pain but I no longer vomit and pass out from pain. All I can think is the diet has made a big difference. Some foods just make endo pain super angry and aggravate the pain even more. Gluten free isn’t carb free tho. I eat carbs and lots of good fats mostly. I highly recommend doing it ASAP and don’t have cheat days. It won’t help you. It’s a life style change.

I have to admit there are times that we don't get along but seeing another sibling suffering with this condition really breaks my heart. Your video really gave my little sister hope that she can still have a normal life while coping with Endometriosis. • Thank you for making this. 😔 I am 24 now, however, my severe pain and symptoms started when I was about 13 or so. When I first got my period at age 12 I was so confused because there was A LOT of blood and all the other girls claimed that was not right. To continue on, I had to deal with my male gym teacher in high school telling me running helped with cramps when I was in such debilitating pain I couldn't even walk. I literally cried while running and he didn't care. Additionally, I had to cancel a lot of plans growing up and everyone thought I was lying about being sick. There is so much stigma regarding the menstrual cycle, nonetheless diseases like endo. It kinda hurts me to hear others talk about periods and how they can have sex on the period etc, when that is so foreignto me I literally cannot relate and even take advice from anyone due to how different my cycle is. Anyway, thank you for sharing a glimpse of what it's like. It makes people like me feel so much less alone. Thank you ❤

Doctors are not trained enough on endo, I have had two procedures and they thought I was crazy with cramps until I found a doctor who understood the nausea, pain, literally not getting out of bed. The first doctors I saw wanted to just put me on pain meds. I can't do that. Anyway. I applaud your strength. I hope you are feeling better. :)

It's been three days and I've only gotten out of bed to go to the restroom next door and even that is terrifying, because I'm doubled over and shaking with pain before I make it those thirty steps. The worst part is that it hits so suddenly that you can never fully prepare. Pain killers don't touch it either.

I really hope it isn't, I went to the doctor about the pain but I also felt a bump almost like a ball in my stomach and I thought that was causing the pain, the prescribed me some medicine to cure the "infection" but they pain was still there. As time went on pain is still here. Pain went away for about 1-2 weeks I was soooo happy because I was able to go to the gym and lift weights! Pain has been really bad this whole week. • As someone with endo, I've occasionally thought about recording myself when I'm in massive amounts of pain. Not for pity points of course, but to capture the reality of the condition. I'm 26 and still dependent on my parents, and trying to figure out how I can work because I can't sit for more than 20 minutes at a time (if that) and being on my feet is also often really painful. I spend most of my time in my bedroom, lying down with my heating pads, and I'm definitely guilty of hiding my pain from others. I don't even allow my own family to see what I'm like at my worst...because frankly when I feel like shit, I want to be left alone, and there's really nothing anyone can do to help anyhow...and I don't want the people I love to beat themselves up for not being able to help. I commend your playful/positive energy, despite having to walk to your appointment, sit and wait for the bus, work, go to the grocery store, then cook when you finally get home. It's really difficult to stay positive or even resembling 'sane' when you feel like your body is sabotaging your functionality.

  • I'm a 17 yr old who has been dealing with chronic hip and back pain 24/7 (I have discovered various things that have made my average day so much better, but it's always there.) since I hit puberty. I have also had such bad nausea issues that when I was 13, I quit eating breakfast bc most of the time it made me sick, a few times I threw up in my mouth. I don't get cramps often anymore, though I used to get them all the time but when I do get cramps I can not function with out medication and with a normal dose of ibieprofuen I am miserable. Medications scare me so I have not ever taken more than 2 doses at once but i am usually still in alot of pain at that point. I have noticed some incontinence issues recentely, and though when I was 16 I found I could eat breakfast but it still made me feel gross. Since last June I have been dealing with such bad nausea and appetite loss that inbetween my ovulation and period I can not convince myself to eat breakfast most of the time and sometimes I can not eat lunch either. The days during that time frame where I eat (or drink) properly are the outlier. During this period of time I am incredibly fatigued, rolling over in bed feels hard. This time around my appetite and nausea has continued into my period. I was searching for possible reasons i could be having these symptoms and upon combining them all, endo was the only thing that popped up. Now I can't stop worrying about it. I am going to the doctor soon but I am an anxious young thing and would very much like someone who has experience with endo to talk to about it to either convince me I don't have it or talk to me about how to cope/what I can do to adress the unacceptable symptoms.

You should definitely talk to a doctor. And I would also recommend seeing a doctor that specializes in endometriosis. They have more knowledge and ability to manage your symptoms. I’m so sorry to hear That you’ve dealt with so much pain for so long. I truly hope that your symptoms subside and you’re able to find some relief soon.

I've been to the hospital like 12 times this year already because sometimes I just don't know what to do.. And hope with enough hospital visits they'll finally give me my hysterectomy.
