That thing can't take out a bird unless the shot is at a very close range, and it's not sure that the pellets would be lethal without a full combustion of the powder. I don't use anything below 20 gauge for this reason...

@@zherean42069 The problem isn’t hunting. The problem is the use of improper equipment. For bird hunting 12 or 20ga with a 26”+ barrel is what is recommended. A .410 with a short barrel just maims the bird and is just straight animal cruelty back up buddy or not.

@@markprescott8780 most .410's have full chokes. Plenty of power for 30 yard shots. You just have to be a good shot with tighter bores. My Tristar O/U .410 came with 5 different screw in chokes. Beautiful and capable shotgun.

As a hunter myself, I went through the hunter safety course and it says to make sure what is in your background so with all those missed bullets, they could have landed on someone or a house and even killed somebody so just don’t be a dumbass. As long as it is a shotgun shell, they won’t travel that far, but never do that with any sort of pistol or rifle round. Even if this seems fun you want the birds to die fast and not slow.

The problem is that it is a “pistol” so that means it has a rifled barrel, probably also shoots 45LC. Birdshot doesn’t work well in a rifled barrel because it twists, so it spreads out very fast as soon as it leaves the barrel. This is the same problem the Taurus Judge has. Smoothbore would be much better but smoothbore pistols are NFA items.

That thing can't take out a bird unless the shot is at a very close range, and it's not sure that the pellets would be lethal without a full combustion of the powder. I don't use anything below 20 gauge for this reason...

@@zherean42069 The problem isn’t hunting. The problem is the use of improper equipment. For bird hunting 12 or 20ga with a 26”+ barrel is what is recommended. A .410 with a short barrel just maims the bird and is just straight animal cruelty back up buddy or not.

Seriously dude, good hunters have respect for the animals they are hunting. The major part of that respect is using the proper size caliber, and make it quick and painless for the animal. That's the exact opposite of what you did.
Yeah I would use between three and six 12 bore bird shot for ducks personally I suppose you could hunt with 410 but out of a full length shotgun with appropriate shot
All I had was a .410 pump at the time and I killed maybe 3 doves of the 20 I hit. It’s not big enough even in full length shotguns

@@markprescott8780 most .410's have full chokes. Plenty of power for 30 yard shots. You just have to be a good shot with tighter bores. My Tristar O/U .410 came with 5 different screw in chokes. Beautiful and capable shotgun.

No it isnt, one of my mates was using 28g 7.5s to shoot pheasant. He had to shoot them twice. You dont know what load this guy is using. I would assume he wouldnt be using birdshot out of that short barrel, he would probably be using bb or bbb

As a hunter myself, I went through the hunter safety course and it says to make sure what is in your background so with all those missed bullets, they could have landed on someone or a house and even killed somebody so just don’t be a dumbass. As long as it is a shotgun shell, they won’t travel that far, but never do that with any sort of pistol or rifle round. Even if this seems fun you want the birds to die fast and not slow.

The problem is that it is a “pistol” so that means it has a rifled barrel, probably also shoots 45LC. Birdshot doesn’t work well in a rifled barrel because it twists, so it spreads out very fast as soon as it leaves the barrel. This is the same problem the Taurus Judge has. Smoothbore would be much better but smoothbore pistols are NFA items.
