He talked and sold big so he got paid Conor got 50 mil for Khabib since it sold massive and his contract gets him a piece of the ppv Guys that don’t make much in ufc sucks to say it’s cause they don’t matter to the overall public . • Not true. Only fighters making millions were when the ppv were high which was only a handful of fighters got points on ppv. As for sponsorship, it varies but I’ve seen it be between $20k- to over $100k. Not a lot but for a lot of fighters that sponsorship money can be more than their fight purse and even allow them to make a living which is why they really got screwed on that Reebok deal.

    • That's always the case with sports it seems. Yes it's a huge amount of money, obviously moreso when you talk baseball, football, and basketball, but that's a dollar amount earned from a path of discipline in training, diet and expertise over many years, 365 days a year. There takes natural talent, but there's a lot more people that have it versus those that have that work ethic and discipline to hone it to a point you are a professional people are willing to pay. And that's the case in all industries. What are you willing to sacrifice?

    • @@domfella How much time before another fight is on the way? If let's say for example, 6 months or more for cutting weight, you have to average that 8 mil to 6 months and that's the actual value he's getting on that 8mil. Which as said, is a crap ton of money. But for most fighters that get a lot less, it's legit not a good way to earn money

  • He made almost triple the money because he sells the fight. Whether you like it or not these guys have to learn how to properly trash talk. That is what makes fights sell bottom line point blank period. The guys that think that they can just show up throw hands and collect checks have no idea what business they are in. People have to be interested, you can be the best fighter in the entire world as Silva was but if no one is watching you destroy people the event just cost the league money.
