In real life, there would be a couple of NY certified escort cars, and you need to take a $40 test to do it in NY, in addition to the police; it would be done at night; and probably other things as well, such as a permit which had the route that you were supposed to take. I used to be an oversize load escort driver, and would escort loads into the city. They also don’t allow right turns on red, even for regular cars, unless there’s a sign that says it’s allowed, and there were a lot of red lights, so in real life, you would’ve gotten a lot of red light camera tickets… There would be a lot more cars to deal with… The rear trailer would normally have a steering device controlled by the rear escort driver.
