Kourtney Kardashian’s three kids have some strict rules to follow while growing up with their famous mom. Kourt’s parenting style is quite different from some of her siblings and Kim, Khloe, Kendall, Rob, and Kylie often disagree with their sister’s rules for her kids!
The mom of three may have loosened up lately, but she’s still strict when it comes to parenting Penelope, Mason, and Reign.

I think it’s the rule about not using a microwave for 2 reasons. 1 she has nannies and housekeepers so the extra work isn’t such a big deal. 2. She’s happy to have them fly on private around the world ooohhhh the hypocrisy 😬

I like the fact the she lets her kids dress themselves in whatever they want and just be themeselves. This is a good parenting skill. You let them choose who they want to be and be comfortable with who they are.

My friends mom did that when we were young. He wore plaid shorts and a striped shirt and they ragged him for his bad style until we were in high school.
I disagree with you, a parent's role is to guide their kids because believe me if you're not guiding them someone else will. Do you think kids choose their outfits because it's an expression of who they are? Or because they've been thought by tv and mgazines.....

Kourtney’s rules are good by themselves, but judging by how badly behaved her kids are all those strict rules aren’t doing much to actually help them grow.

I personally have parents with a similar parenting style, and was really wild and „badly behaved“ when I was little, the older I got, the more it teached myself being responsible for my own actions etc. friends of mine with strict parents don’t want as much contact to them/ are „rebellious“. You could not be more wrong! She has ridiculous rules for many things but she let's them do anything they want in the personal behavior categories. They are so disrespectful in the way the speak to their parents and others that it's hard to appreciate the good qualities they do have.
I agree with a lot of her parenting conditions but all of that doesn’t matter if you don’t teach them about rules, manners and insert structure & familiar routines. Also a BIG one is discipline, we get disciplined as adults whenever we don’t follow the rules of life;Ex: running a red light/stop sign 🛑 you get a ticket if you break those rules & our punishment is having to give the state our hard earned money 💰💁🏼♀️. Just my thoughts & opinions on parenting 😉.

I can see how her parenting style is annoying to others because it's a difficult lifestyle to live up to. But I can really admire her for sticking to it. Letting siblings use hand me downs is normal and smart. To go over the top with lots of clothing your kids will only wear once is insane...As is using your toddler to sell your brand Kylie.. I agree with so many rules and would love to have Kourtneys strength. She could stay out of her sisters business when it comes to parenting but they should also realize that only having a nanny when you're working is 100% sane and normal for a parent.
Lol but she didn’t stick to it. She loosened up cuz of her new life. She didn’t do it for her kids’ health she did it to show it off at the time and be different. Now that SHE has a different lifestyle with a new guy, so do her kids. Behavior and discipline is more important in the long run than food.
This is why I don’t want kids. Raising one correctly is extremely difficult.

She doesn't let her kids eat candy and play with plastic toys, but wears plastic and leather and she allows trees to be killed just so her kids have toys. Plus, her kids are majorly disrespectful. I'd love to be Penelope and Reign's nanny. Ooh wee. I'd beat the brakes off of both of them pampered little brats. I can't stand those two! They grew up with money but Rob Kardashian seemed like the type of dad who kept them as grounded as possible. I’m sure they grew up wearing things more than once
And this was a problem for Kris (she was a party rand) Kim's typical nature...no time for kids make friends, money social networks is all that mattered to her....and this broke Kourt's heart and even her relationship with Scott

I’ve never watched the kardasians and was totally surprised to watch this video and learn that all of Courtneys good parenting rules are the same as mine - at least ones I aspire to and agree with, even if I don’t always succeed. I think it’s really sad that her sisters clearly have no idea, or interest in understanding where her rules are coming from. I’m really impressed. I have no idea if she’s a good parent otherwise but the rules on this list are all well researched, solid and while some are hard to implement - being a good parent isn’t easy…. It’s really a shame her sisters choose to mock her rather than learn something valuable for their families.

“I’ve never watched the Kardashian’s”…says enough. 😂😂😂😂 if you watch KUWTK you’ll know exactly why her sisters don’t agree with her parenting skills (her sisters, except Kendall, have never openly said anything about her parenting skills but she likes to make it seem as if she’s the best mom out of all of them). Her children hit their nannies and she defends them instead of the nanny, infact even blamed the nanny for not tolerating it. Her son reign along with the other Kardashian kids went on the Ellen show and the other kids were well behaved while Reign kept screaming and making noise. She also can’t keep a nanny cause she defends her children’s behaviour and let’s them do what they want.
How about reviewing her discipline structure? It seems to be almost nonexistent.
I am soooo team Kourtney on this one. I love her parenting style which resembles what I want for my daughter. We do what we can and what we think is best for our children. People don’t have to like/agree with us but they do have to respect our decisions.
She makes a lot of understandable choices but there’s literally 0 point of all of this if you don’t teach them manners

This is an older article I think. She has been MIA and all over the world without her kids for months now. Acting like a total sl*t, with no sense of self worth, no shame. Her kids are going to see this down the road when they are a bit older. How are their friends and friends families and even teachers going to feel seeing that? That will affect those kids. They will resent her and probably leave her early on when they are old enough to. Sad really.

One thing that stood out for me her take on long term nursing. Totally agreed. My kid hardly fell sick as a baby. On that note, not every mommies could nurse for long many reasons.....so as long no camp shaming the other camp...all is good.
12 months is long enough . They need to become a little independent, and to comfort themselves. Plus all my kids started on cereal the min. they could handle it. and all of them sleep through the night by 3 months

I have to say that I agree with Kourtney, and I can list two experiences I had: one, blue juice boxes sent my son into seizures and migraines, I had to cut out a ton of processed products to keep my son out of the hospitals. two, I had a client who was battling lymphoma, her doctors at City Of Hope told her to get rid of all microwaves in her house. I don’t know why, but that’s what they told her. Anyhow, I am with Kourtney, keep it simple, keep it real and be with your children as much as possible. The fewer plastics around, the better, the fewer additives in food, the better.
I actually think her parenting skills are awesome. Some of them aren’t for everyone, but I don’t think they are bad skills at all. I actually wish I could be more educated myself on the benefits of many of these rules. But it’s overwhelming to be honest. But overall I don’t understand why she gets so much shame in her fam? I totally agree with Courtney's parenting, they seem very well behave and well mannered. I love that she gives her nanny time off and just doesn't have one nanny. Kim said Courtney you can't even keep a nanny. That's a good thing so the kids don't get attached to just one. I think if I had there money I would parent like her. 👍

Lord must be nice to have such choices with children. Most of us try to do the best we can. Too exhausted from working, no nanny, maid, or Gardner here. Still give your kids a good diet but. This is exhausting. Awesome Kardashians can do so well.

I love how Kourtney is truly about her kids. She makes sure she take good care about them in every way possible. Even with the nursing her kids as long as possible...in my experience, 2 of my 4 kids that I nurses for a long time hardly ever get sick. If they do, they get over it very quickly.

It seems to me that Kourtney is being a good parent. She’s teaching them values and the not to be materialistic. She’s also teaching them to care for the earth by choosing wooden toys instead of plastic, and she’s teaching that just because it’s convenient doesn’t mean it is good (Microwaves.) I feel the others are extremely self centered and too much in the spot light.
Kourtney may have the good intentions on food and stuff but ..manners.. love Kim's rule, they must sleep on their beds on their rooms, i get the good intention of closeness but, parents need their space and even if is a single parent it needs the space to rest and get some break when everyone is sleeping.

Raised my 3 kids the exact same way! They all turned out Champions! I raised them the extraordinary way.When they got to high school, all Honor students. Nobody really had my back then, as my way was not the norm. I brought the house down....now with the eldest daughter, an Architect and 2 sons as Engineers. You reap what you sow...to generations down. You go, girL, Ms Kourtney!!
