  • Have been doing this for 30yrs. Deadly for largemouth around grass, weeds,Lilly pads. Throw on the bank and slide it off into the water. They can't take it

  • This is one of my favorites this time of year. Trick worm, lizard, and my absolute favorite, salty crawling grub Texas rig weightless. It gets it done when the lizard bite is on

  • Used to use a weightless lizard back in the 90’s. Didn’t quite rig it the same way, but will try it rigged with the crook in it. Used power bait lizard. It was heavier than other brands and would glide real well and the fish would tear it up. Caught some biggin’s on it!

  • I just got back from Dale Hollow Lake. I was throwing a lizard at wood in shallow pockets. I was smashing the large mouth for three days. I watched the MLF tournament two days before I got there. Nobody fishing lizards. I got the lizard idea from an earlier video that you put out. Thanks for the lessons.

  • Hey from Canada! Western Canada that is, very few bass but lots of other fish. You bring up many good points dealing with both fishing as well as etiquette! Up here we have to do a boating test. Not the best in the world! But it can leave you wondering while it isn't the best, It simply l gives you something to fall back on when you realize you are about to do something stupid. I hope they don't kill anyone. You also cover what is wrong out there. Keep talking it's the only way to give in! Fishing should be fun! If we make it fun it will continue to be enjoyed! My best to you all.

  • Might as well say my middle name is lizard! 🦎 I trust, love and use lizards all the time to catch big bass and numbers of bass every season for the past decade now. Purchased my own 7” lizard soft bait mold to make my own colour combinations, split colours, customs tail colour tips, and scents. Bullet weight / no wait this bait preforms all year long up here in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 Keep on keeping on Randy 👍🏻

  • Randy, great video and great tip. I love to fish the Lizard and have some in my tackle. My june bug is my best. I viewed you using the 8 inch black. I guess I need to go buy some with that hook setup. We have a place here in Lake Wales, Fl. named Bridgemasters. The fishermans candy store. They carry are huge, I mean huge supply of the most modern baits for bass. If you are ever in the area it is located on s.r.60 east part of Lake Wales. Across the street from Walmart. They have rods and reels. Named brand stuff. They can even build a person a rod. Anyway, good tip. Keep it up.

  • 🤣 Of course the hooks are out of stock (unless you're using a 1-2 sized hook). I think I'm 0-5 now with your recommendations being in stock, Randy.🤣 But, I digress... This is interesting. I've noticed that the spring bite on soft plastics like this (at least in FL) is very light. You feel weight FAR more than an actual strike. Very similar to pulling a bit through a weed/grass bed. I'm going to try a Carolina rig tomorrow, with this rigged up like that. Randy said weightless, but I'll try it anyway, with a 16" leader. Getting a side-to-side action like that seems like it would work regardless of setup (as long as a lizard is what the fish want). Come to think of it, I wonder if this would work with a Brush Hog.... Thanks for sharing, Randy

  • Another thing. I had a fun time catching big bass on Super Hog green pepper color. Talk about fun!!!!!!!. One day a friend of mine yelled at me from about 200 feet away wanting me to see the 11 pounder he just caught. I trolled over to him and we both took pictures and let that 11 pounder swim off to a certain cattale it was living at. 5 days later I went back there and caught it again on a Super Hog. I watched her swim off again. End of story.
