Did you see THESE Terra Cotta Pot HACKS?: kzhead.info/sun/ga-JideRsXSBaIU/bejne.html
i put avon skins so soft bath oil..i tested it and literally i seen a masqito trying to get outside...
Love everything ❤️😘
No not yet I’ve only seen two of your hacks in this video.
I have actually had the solar lights from Dollar Tree last for some time, but the ones from Walmart are better and only 97 cents.
You can make little nomes for your garden with the small terra Cotta pots or even your deck or patio an stick the incense stick in the top hole. I made a couple of cute nomes an have them on my deck for decoration 😊
A tip for the bulb plant waterer: secure a small square of nylon from pantyhose with a rubberband on the tip of the bulb. This prevents the tip from getting clogged with soil when you push it into the planter.
I am going to go to the store this week to get seeds and garden items!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The sidewalk squeegee is brilliant! I also can see having one in our camping trailer to sponge it off easily! A definite do! I wil look for those plant waterers, too. Thanks so much! 👍
The “tool box” can be used for SOOOO many ideas! First aid box for car, snack box, fishing box, paint, many craft items for in these, play dough, mini cooler, I could go on and on! Let your imagination wander with these 🥰
Decoupage the empty seed packets for cute plant markers
Great idea! I totally forgot to mark my pots when I started my seeds so now it's a mystery!
Every seed I have purchased from the dollar tree only grew grass !! 😢
Use wine bottles instead of water bulbs. They hold more water and work just as well. I also use them when I plant new bushes and trees in my yard. I look like the neighborhood drunk but at least my yard looks pretty🤣. You can spray paint your wine bottles if you don't want the neighbors talking.
Hi when you store the seeds also include a dry absorbent pack that comes with new shoes. It helps keep moisture away from seeds.
I have never seen such a well stocked, diverse Dollar Tree. There is so much to chose from!
I have 5 dollar tree stores within 20 mile radius of my house and I go to each one at least 3 times a week... and I have never seen empty or bare shelves at all.... they are always well stocked and very orderly and clean stores... however I have heard of people in lower income areas speaking about unorganized stores that are mostly bare and I find that very odd.... even in the lower income areas of Knoxville the stores are always super full... so its weird to me... I can only assume it has something to do with the staff /employees.....
@@kookycoolauntkaryn5884 the ones is in N.Y.C are unorganized and looks like a hurricane went right thru them. Even in some of the nicer neighborhoods..
@@kookycoolauntkaryn5884 Like the other person said... Im in Philly, soooo 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Hurricanes do wide spread damage!! 🤣🤣🤣
I AM SAYING! OUR'S IS OLD AND FILTHY...BUMMER. BUT I STILL GO BACAUSE OF THE DEALS THERE. ALREADY STOCKED UP ON SEEDS, POTS, DECOR, ETC. FOR SPRING! CAN'T WAIT...I MAY USE A FEW OF THESE-ESPECIALLY TO USE HANGING POTS SO THE CRAWLING CRITTERS DON'T TEAT UP MY STARTER PLANTS. KEEP COMING UP WITH YOUR IDEAS...YOU ARE GREAT! GOD BLESS!
You might have saved my marriage with the outdoor squeegee!! My husband finished painting our deck this morning, it rained tonight. He is freaking out! Pool noodle to the rescue after this rain stops! Cross your fingers for me!
How did it work? I'm seeing your posted comment one year later, per the "date" on your comment. Lol. I hope the squeegee worked for you.
pool noodles put in knee-thigh high boots are a dream... the boot keeps its shape and stands in place with ease.
I came up with what I think is a good hack. I buy the dollar tree toilet bowl brushes, and I use them in my backyard to clean all the spiderwebs off of the furniture or between potted plants. When they get full I toss them out and get another one. They seemed to last for quite a long time though.
That is GENIUS 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Why not just clean the brush off and have it for another use.
No offense but we don’t need more unnecessary waste in land fills couldn’t you just spray it clean let dry and refill please ty good idea
@@lindacox4789 the whole video is wasteful
I use one in the yard to clean water bowls.
Those were great! The mosquitoe is our official bird. We have 2 seasons: winter and mosquitoe. So definitely going to try those incense sticks. Great tip 👍🏼
Lol! Excellent response!
Sounds like you are in upstate NY like me, though we have another season which coincides with mosquito season:. Road construction!
@@crickett4877 lol No we're much further north than that but I hear you. Construction season coincides with mosquito. Both are pests 🙄
@@mamacitabambi3558 😊
Lol thanks for the chuckle 😃🤣
Love the hacks. The lights with stones is my favorite 👍
It's so pretty in person too! Hope you get to try it, and thank you!
Thank you for all the hacks. I love them. I use the laundry basket with my container gardening. I have placed the baskets over delicate plants 🪴 and put a refilled water bottle on top to keep out rabbits 🐇 or other varmints from eating your plants or new seedlings. Also, if I have a basket that has a broken bottom, I cut off the rest on that bottom and then place it over my tomato plants that can help with the fruit weight. Make sure to ease a branch thru the holes and zip tie it to the plastic, or tie it with jute string.
I use the little metal trashcans like this. Placed over seedlings, slightly buried in the soil has kept the rodents out. Also, I will take two of those metal cans and wire them together around a developing watermelon to keep rats from eating them (we have a rat problem in our city and everyone has a hard time growing watermelons to maturity here because of them but every one they I protected with the metal trash can "cage" survived and ripened.
Those are great ideas! I love it!
Shannon my dad always used sand in a bucket to keep his tools clean. But he would mix in a little mineral oil, motor oil to moisten the sand a bit. Using the oil keeps the tools sharp and as a cleaner too. It also prevents rusting.
Wow, great tip! Thank you.
Thank you so much some will not share gems like that
You can also use olive oil or drop a few drops onto the moving parts of scissors, pruners, laupers, pliers, socket wrenches, hinges, etc. It works like a champ!
Love these hacks! My favorites are the pool noodle squeegie, sand in a planter to keep yard tools clean & sharp, and the seed packet tool box. TFS! Have a blessed day!
I live in Southern Ohio so we got mosquitoes bad and the best thing that works for me and my family is rubbing dryer sheets all over exp supposed skin and as a Xtra step I put a couple in my pockets...try it and I promise you will thank me later and Thank you for all your great idea's..God bless y'all 💯🙏💜💙💜💙
First time watcher! I'm going to try the mosquito incense sticks. If there is one mosquito in the back yard, it will find me and then go and tell all it's friends. :( I have arthritis so bad in my knees. My hobby is gardening and it gets harder and harder every year. I love the roll around plant trolley to help carry things around with me. I'm known to skooch from one end of my yard to the other. Thanks!!
Where I live, I've got about 6 DT stores nearby, & not ONE carries all the new stuff, or even some of it! I literally have most everything from the Crafter's Square as of several months ago, & would definitely buy all the things I'm seeing in vids, so it's very frustrating! I'm glad that you have a decent DT - watching your crafts is soothing, & your creativity is limitless! Thank you for such awesome content!
I love all these ideas! I especially love the toolbox idea for seed packets!
Good day beautiful Shannon! Such awesome hacks thank you for sharing this fun video and you have a blessed week. Love the tool box idea.
Hi, Shannon, great ideas! My favorite is the glass jewels on the solar lamps. My daughter has a little bacony on her apartment. I can't wait to try the little lights on it Thanks. I live in SC, and yes the bugs are really bad here too.😊
🌈💓💓💓
Yeah, that really is a fun idea💚
@@TheDailyDIYer , those little solar lights are also great emergency lighting to bring inside during power outages ! They give off just enough light so you can find your way to the bathroom , etc. ~ or as a night light for a child's room .
@@TheDailyDIYer Shannon I made my daughter the little solar light out of a jelly jar and blue glass "rocks" from Dollar tree. I used nautical rope on the top and she put it on her balcony and loves it. Thanks.🥰
Fabulous ideas My fav has to be the tool box. I hav a greenhouse and storing my seeds in the tool box is a great idea
Awesome solar light idea with the glass stones ❤
I love the hose in the laundry basket! I can secure the basket to the ground with tent stakes to keep it in place when I unspool the hose because the wind out here is just bananas.
That is SO SO SMART! Thanks for the added tip!!
Slip the "female" end of the hose through the bottom row of holes, then attach to the spigot. That should also keep the basket from blowing away.
Loving This Weird Dollar Tree Patio Hacks DIY’s Girl! I’m remembering those plastic watering balls but I had the glass version ones. Love the solar lights DIY’s hoping to find them on my next DT trip. 🤩🤩🤩
Shannon you never cease to amaze me with your unique ideas! I'm def going to use all of the ideas you presented! I think it would be fun to put a 'gardening' themed scrapbook paper on the outside of the 🧰 to 'jgoojgh up' the box. Thank you for the ideas!
Oh. Way to go Mom!! I love the elephant pot !
Our $Tree only has 3 of the items you mentioned. Seeds, noodles (some times), & the small glass bowl. I so wish our store was larger but even the next town's store doesn't have this amazing variety.
Thanks for the hacks. I'm totally into outdoor lighting. I love the glass gems on the solar lights. Too cute!!
You can always take a sponge also when you’re planting flowers in the basket is to put sponge pieces in it this way it will soak up the water and when it needs water it will release it
What a great idea! Thank you!
Interesting tip. Do you put the sponge pieces at the bottom, below the soil, or do you mix them in with the soil? It seems like if they're mixed in, they could distribute the water throughout the plant and root system, instead of sitting at the bottom. But I don't know that much about plants, so I'm not sure which is best. Also, which type of sponges? Regular cheap man-made sponges, or natural sponges? Thank you! 😃
@@SophieMia806 any clean sponge safe from the dollar tree you can cut those up and put them in there. You can mix it in with the dirt or you can put it in the bottom of it as long as it’s in there.
@@kriskraftsmorewilson9651 ...Thank you. I appreciate your reply. 😊
The planters with sand also are great for the citronella insense too. The broken laundry basket with a little weed cloth also make good air pruning planters.
Hi there, no ,no mosquitos problem here at all . Beautiful gorgeous weather/climate here in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA🌴🌴☀️🌴
I like the pool noodle hack genius idea
Hi Shannon, Yep, I can't sleep. ;( Turned to KZhead. Loving the "ice" planter hack. Jus a super cute idea in general but what a great hack for an intimate gathering on a deck or pool party?! Enjoyed learning how to make a homemade Citronella. And you're absolutely right...you can never have too much if that. Not a fan of sprays, etc. All great ideas! Tfs... B safe, L
Great ideas! You can also slip the pool noodle over the tines of a steel rake to sweet water away.
GREAT idea! Thanks!
Wonderful ideas 💡 👍 ❤❤❤
Love the tool box seed packet holder!!! I am gonna try that today.
Those janging lights would be pretty on an outdoor christmas tree. Love the floating mosquito repellant candle, pool noodle squeegee is genius!!
Awesome!!!🥰
Great ideas!! So good! Also there is citronella essential oil in case you didn't know!
I like the toolbox hack for outdoor tools and for seeds.
Great hacks. My favorite is the sand in the pot to use for your garden tools. 👍😀
The pool Noodle & the seed organizer is Amazing ideas!!!!!
Thanks for the great hacks! If you add some motor oil to your little bucket of sand, it will also lubricate your tools as you clean them.
Great idea! Thank you!
I've also read you can use any kind of oil such as three in one multi-purpose oil or even olive oil and canola oil. They all protect the surface of the metal yard tools
LOVE IT..!! LOVE ,, Marbles on lantern to cool
I love them all
I actually have used the tool box for my art container. Too bad Dollar Tree didn’t have the acrylic paint about 5-6yrs. ago but I’d buy my paints from Hobby Lobby. The tool box made a great place to store anything paint or art related. It also, because it had a flat container at the top, made a fishing tackle box for my husband. Great to communicate with you!!!
💓💓💓
I used same solar light and glass beads, but instead took off solar post, poured beads into shore sections blue glass container with thin wire handle, and placed remainder of solar light in jar and have beautiful solar light jar! I love all your ideas and will be doing more DIY crafts with you!
Oh. Love the jewels on the solar lights n lamps too
I LOVE floating candles 💜💜💜
Lol don't know where you come up with these hacks but they are awesome & you are very inspiring, i would of never thought of half of them tfs. Big Thumbs Up 👍🥰🙏
The tool Box for seed storage is great. And the paper clips are a good idea, too.
I love the sand in the flower pot to store and clean your tools idea. I'll be doing this one! These were all great ideas and I love the glass beads on the lights too...really pretty! I'm happy to know about the floating candle idea too...lots of mosquitos here in Florida in the summer.
If you add a little motor oil to the sand it will lubricate the tools as well as clean them. It is what the pros do with their larger tools to extend their lifecycle.
I had no idea the sand would help sharpen the tools? Great idea. And, to add the oil to the sand, is cool to know, as well.
@@barbarajenkins8050 The oil helps stop rust and can make old rusted tools look newer with a little scrubbing after an over winter soak in the sand oil mix. :)
Love them ALL
I liked several hacks, but the toolbox for seed packets is great!
Enjoyed your ideas and want to say thank you for limited commercial interuptions.
I never forget to water my plants, but those water globes can be used by inserting fairy lights inside them and put them in the flowerbed
I think the hanging light would be super pretty with the "sea glass" spray paint instead! Ooooh...
LOVE YOUR IDEA'S
The laundry basket is the one I told my self wow never thought of that. I'm not sure what people will think when they drive by. But hey, I'm going to try this. It can hurt anything. 😃
I love $1 tree solar lights. Have about 50 between front and back yard. Have some 4-5 years. Very few have quit working. Leave them out year round. Also really nice in winter as well as summer.
You shouldn't store your garden hose outside where it is in direct sunlight, as you put it. You should store it in the shade to prevent "sun rot", perhaps unroll the hose a bit & sit the basket beside the grill/window. It's protected from the weather & will last years longer.
Not to mention the clothes basket will also become brittle after some time as well.
Is there any place left on earth that doesn't have killer mosquitoes?! ;) Love all your ideas!
2 out of 10 solar lights from $1 store is what ends up lasting more than a week. Anyone else have this issue?
Yes , they do not last long .
Yes. They are going back.
It's usually a dead battery issue with short lived solar lights. Sometimes it's worth replacing the batteries; but the lights are from the Dollar Tree, so batteries would likely cost a lot more than the lights are worth.
Yep.
@@grlnexdoorable mine are at 2 plus years with a battery change.
It’s sweet iced tea here in the south!!!
Love the jewels glued on the solar lights!
It's so pretty when they glow! Thanks Kellie!!
Heyy wife here 🙋♀️ lol (Alexia) I love your channel! You have really unique thought out DIY'S, really enjoy watching your channel 😊
Thank you so much!!
You are a genius!!
Great idea's
Mosquitos should be the state bird of Florida! Great hacks and show.🌞Fl.
Going for a laundry basket for my hose tomorrow 🙂
I have raised Gardens to sell seeds for a commercial company. Did you know if you store them in a freezer I have had peanuts last for 10 years and still come up and be viable. Tomato seeds can last up to 50 years if you store them in a freezer
Shannon your patio ice bucket is brilliant. Definitely using this hack over the summer🌼 and your jeweled solar lights are really pretty 💙
I am impressed at your genius.
These ideas are so practical and easy to do.
Great ideas. Thanks 👍
Thank you for the great ideas!!!
They all were my favorites. Thank you very much for sharing this video.❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Flower planter with ice for drinks is Genius !!!
I've been looking to find the plant trolley for two years and the tool box for about a year. And I typically go to for or five different DT s a month. No luck at all. I love the citronella sticks I'm going to be on the lookout for those too now. Wish me luck.
OMG that hack for the over the rail planter was so cool!!!!
Awesome hacks! My favorite is the tool box for packets! Tfs and God Bless 🥰 💜
Good evening Shannon and thank you for sharing your beautiful ideas
I think your ideas are genius! Thanks so much Shannon.
The garden stakes with the glass gems, absolutely beautiful!
Oh yes,do you have a garden
Hack for filling the watering globes put them into the hole for the garbage disposal and run the water gently into them for hands free filling (note you might have to adjust the globe and the water flow but you'll get the hang of it) 😜😄
Love the light hacks! Pretty flower basket!
I like the information about the mosquito repellent incense sticks. That's a great idea. I also liked the last one about the toolbox with the seeds and the paper clips, another great idea. Thank you very much.
We have mosquitoes here big enough to carry you away. I love those tool boxes too. They are great for storing craft supplies. Thank you Shannon.
Get well soon. I liked the over the banister pot
I like the plant trolly and many other items !
Your soo Smart! Ty for all these!
The Squeegee idea is the best
Thank u for the tips!💖
Like the hacks and your Tshirt PRAYING MOMMA
I love the pot that sits on the railing !
