Now whether he rigged the game or did he invest everything he had to win it can be debated upon, but yeah, in the end, Chris' vision as a photographer with a successful art dealer with his own gallery may have been a sweet deal for him. • What was so good was Rose's whole performance during it. The disapproving looks to her relatives and knowing she's in on it the whole time. I began to wonder if they were looks of "you're pushing it too far" or she was so into the role of the doting girlfriend. A brilliant example of this is when she refuses to let Chris hand over his ID to the cop. In the beginning she wants to appear as the protective girlfriend but if you think about it she's making sure it's so Chris can't be found when he gets snatched.

    @StarrChild.@StarrChild.5 жыл бұрын
    • VERY late for me to say this but I saw in another comment someone theorized that Rose acted the way she did in the cop scene to ensure that the cop doesn’t see Chris’ ID so that when he goes missing later on there’s little to no evidence.

Edit: It's been 2 years since this comment so I'd like to update ya'll if you don't mind. I appreciate the concept of the blind guy being sort of a red herring now. I see it now that this is Peele's twist and flip to those white saviour stereotypes that movie people has been exposed to for years, in which we subconciously got trained to seek those in certain types of characters from any movies we watch.

    @cheesecakelasagna@cheesecakelasagna6 жыл бұрын
    • CheesecakeLasagna I think Jordan Peele deliberately made the blind man play that role because he served as a brilliant critique of “colorblindness.” He’s literally blind, so he can’t see Chris’s skin color, but he is willingly participating in colonizing Chris’s body nonetheless, so he isn’t off the hook.

In the badminton scene you can see Jeremy(Rose’s brother) is wearing a red tie. The white people begin to walk over, and you can see some are wearing red. • Was the metronome type of sound always playing in the background of some scenes? I didn't notice it until now but it was so creepy, kinda resembled the hypnosis spoon clicking on the cup sounds

  • When Georgina tampered with his phone and was explaining herself, the tear she let out was the part of her that lived on and was trapped inside. Also I think when the Black guy with the older White lady said get out that must have been the part of him that lived on trapped inside his old body telling Chris to get out. Very creepy stuff.

  • I'm glad they cut out all these scenes. In the original movie, the questions the white people give are just racist and awkward, the one with the black is in fashion just went on for so long so I am glad they cut that. The badminton there is no point, they got their point across without it and also shows a bit that they are hear to watch Cris while without that you dont know what's going on. One of the things that made Get Out great is the lack of non jumpscares and just the psychological horror. Adding the whole monster in the sunken place ruins the experience. Maybe instead make it he has to live the rest of his life in fear of the memories of his mother or something

  • That badminton scene was brilliant. Perfectly subtle too, the crowd that gathered could've just been watching a game. I think it would have been great buildup to the reveal; that really satisfying "oh, shit..." moment.

  • It was interesting to watch all these deleted scenes and see what they stuck with. Out of all the people I hated the brother the most. Man, the deleted version of the sunken place is much scarier than what they decided to go with imo.
