    • Except for the whole thing about the Patriots being horrible right before Belichick came aboard. No, they weren't. Not right before. Carroll fielded decent teams and was fired after an 8-8 season. Parcells was there before him and took them to the Super Bowl. Bledsoe was there throughout both tenures and provided quality QB play yet he struggled under Belichick. He will be fired (or forced resignation) if they have a significant losing season which they are in the midst of having. They are only one loss away from a losing season (2-8) and will be lucky to have 5 wins this season. Belichick didn't reinvent anything and wasn't ever a brilliant Head Coach. He's a mediocre Head Coach and Brilliant Defensive Coordinator who was made to look better due to the consistent play of Tom Brady regardless of who his targets were. Of course, when his targets were better his stats were at the top of the league. When they weren't, they still won consistently and his stats were great. Belichick is a sub .500 head coach without Brady.

      @razorbeard6970@razorbeard69706 ай бұрын
    • @@razorbeard6970it’s nice that you can read stats online and say they weren’t terrible, but anyone who knows what things were like then knows that they were talked about in the same way that the jets are talked about now.

      @KinnuSingh@KinnuSingh6 ай бұрын
    • @@KinnuSingh I remember how they scored the pick to get Bledsoe. After he was there they steadily improved until the Super Bowl and stayed competitive under Carroll. I just disagree with a narrative they were terrible right before Belichick as if they didn't run through quality head coaching talent and success right before him.

  • I would totally listen to the NFL football broadcast if CBS or FOX hired Bill to be a commentator in the broadcast booth. Bill knows sports extremely well, is very well informed, and of course, Bill is Bill, which would add so many laughs to the broadcast instead of boring, monotone NFL broadcasters who couldn't say something genuinely funny if their life depended on it. Not that NFL broadcasts need to be a laugh riot. But a few scattered chuckles here and there by someone who is a MASTER at it, IMO, would make listening that much more fun.

  • I've been soooo waiting to hear Bill thoughts on Nia's salute. He's hasn't mentioned it on the podcast so yeah I was wondering if he didn't want to piss off his audience. Bill's love for Nia is so awesome.

    • @@bryangoodson1721I think he addressed it head on. He called them snowflakes which is pretty factual at this point. That meltdown after Nia's salute was pretty embarrassing.
