This, this is what a grand final should be. Every match is intense, they dominate each other constantly, loads of comebacks, and seeing two giants fighting is always such a blast to watch. There’s no clear cut winner in every map, even after winning dominant halves they can still make a comeback. We don’t have a major this year, but i think this final is enough

@@tyby2076 thats the thing every position he could have gone too it is a gamble since he didnt know where he was but if he didn't jump he could have played behind the truck and have more time and more cover and if no one came from the 2 angles that he faces which are long and toilet or whatever he could peak for a second in the truck to gain info or kill him if he was there, but im not a pro and that must have been the most stressfull thing in his career since it was the matchpoint of the final.

Remember when Nuke was Astralis's domain and no other team can hold a candle to them on both side? their existence propped up the scene and forced every other team to either evolve their plays or get left behind, and now it's getting even again. See that happen in real time is such a treat.
agreed, even though i dont like Astralis, they revolutinize so much for the esports scene and particularly the game of CSGO, they over and over again tried something new despite the risks, like in this game the way they rush even caught the commentators off guard which shows they never seen they do something like that despite them losing the round, the mentality of Astralis is definitely at the highest level compared to other teams in most of tournaments, second team on the list is fnatic, highly competitive, entertaining and get you at the edge of your seat most of the times, that is CSGO, this is the persona that most competitive games failed to achieve over and over again
Since teams evolve to counter new tactics and strategies, imagine what kind of Nuke play and skill level we will have in 2 decades! I mean, go watch Nuke tournaments from even 10 years ago (watched one today), it's like seeing Master Guardians simply outgunning the opponent, no creativity!
And that team kill in the 25th round on nuke probably created the base for astralis

I have been waiting for another Navi vs Astralis game for months now, my 2 favourites, and i was not disappointed. Amazing stuff from both teams!
All the peeps who've been watching this whole series on KZhead or twitch, specially those who've been watching Astralis in particular, we've seen how literally every other person who supported anyone other than Astralis joined forces to claim that Astralis won't win. Time after time match after match. Ever since the defeat by Heroic everyone was claiming Astralis will fail. But they grinded their way back and defeated the most individually gifted team in world with a 1 map disadvantage coming from the lower bracket. Remember this, *THIS IS ASTRALIS.*

Well, history shows a great bias towards Astralis to win from commentators, so without knowing for sure, I could imagine a supervisor has asked them to change that - working with that knowledge the commentators are probably more aware towards not showing affection for Astralis members.

Astralis had a crazy run this season Lost to complexity in first match Then beat faze,vitality,mouz,fnatic,spirit and finished first in group stage. Then lost the first match in playoffs against heroic. Drops to lower bracket and start the lb run. Then they beat spirit again, got revange on col, and fight through double elimination in same day with 3hr gap, first against mouz then against heroic and got their sweet lil revange on them and qualified to finals with 1 map disadvantage against navi. Lost the first map dust II. Then beat navi on nuke, again on train in overtime and beat them again in overpass and reverse sweep the bo5. Yep....THE GREAT DANES ARE BACK BITCHES!!!!!

they are pretty even this series tbh. Navi could have won that Train game if not for Es3tag going out of his fucking mind in a few crucial round. Astralis literally survived on the back of those clutches consider how close that game was, and that would have been the series if he failed even one of those clutches.
There is no curse whatsoever. The configuration of "1 hard carry + 4 supports" just doesn't work, never worked and never will, in terms of producing a team that wins big tournaments consistently. Sorry but that's just the way it is. Astralis on the other hand... that's a 5-man team

ALVMusic *2 hard carries. s1mple might be the best player on NaVi, but electronic is almost as good imo, definitely fits the mold of a superstar and is quite close to s1mple in terms of fragging and impact in most matches.

It's not a handicap. In a regular play-offs, Astralis would have been eliminated in quarterfinals after they lost 0-2 to Heroic. They were given a 2nd chance. Every team that lost once, was given a 2nd chance. So, Navi should get one as well if they lose. We obviously can't have another grand final. The compensation is 1-map adv. It's more than fair.

I just don't like when they over hype any round where s1mple is being spectated, like dude, he is like in a 1v4 with 30 hp versus Astralis and pretty much saying "this is totally doable for him". We get he is the best player in the game, we love him, but he is not perfect nor immortal.
The last rounds were so unlucky for NaVi and Astralis fought till the end. I'm satisfied with the shown, great matches!
Watched this live and came back because it was so good. Such a great storyline and some amazing plays. Navi could have won this won so easily if device wasn’t so insane this game. He just destroyed everyone. Best final in so long. Navi choked some rounds really badly on overpass. Like when electronic was in a 1v2 and he peeked so they got the defuse with a second left. Or when simple missed. Amazing final.

Zonic needs to fix es3tag asap. He performs insanely good in Train and nuke. Rest of the map he's choking and bottom fragger in the server. And I think he never makes a proper decision in clutch situations, he just rushes and die. Astralis missing Xyp9x brain to gain their consistent victory.

Astralis team is the best tactical, thats why they are the most entertaining team to watch them play. -Glave => best igl but also good rifler, has the most nade kills in the game - Device => Same skillset as simple, is good with any gun in the game - Magisk => rock solid in any situation - Dupreeh => this guy is the most consistent and MOST underrated player in the game. Love his rifling. - Es3tag=> He seems to fit good with the team, brought some fresh blood to the team
