  • It's actually like some kind of fantasy land on earth. Incredibly beautiful mountains. A animal so incredibly majestic and so rare that you could probably count the number of people who has actually seen one. And then you have the Rams with their big and strong curved hornes that make them look like the king of goats or something. And both of these animals scale the mountain in a way that shouldn't be possible! I love it!!!

    • Nowadays snow leopards have become a fair bit easier to see now that Hemis National Park (where Planet Earth II filmed them) is a reliable place to find them (though even there it takes much effort).

    • To be fair he would probably die from the cold if he jumped into the water. It would drench his coat and leave him without any warmth.

    • It's not that it's too dangerous but that it's too much of a hassle. She'd have to jump into the water, possibly getting hurt, swim in cold water to catch the animal which would be very difficult, also because her fur would get heavy from water, and even if she ends up catching the animal, she'd have to trek back to the lair up the mountain with little energy left. It's just not worth it.

  • while humans use harness to climb on the mountain, these snow leopard just walking, running, jumping and hunting as if their paws are magnets attaching to the rocks of the mountain. this is just so amazing!!!

    • Yeah I used to say I liked the snow leopard but it was always a tiger for me. After seeing this though I’m shook. The paws are enormous and it’s so proportionate and the tail is amazing. And the way it treated it’s cub so delicately but then runs down that steep terrain......

  • This video is from the original Planet Earth series, published 15 years ago, but to date it is still unquestionably the most phenomenal wildlife chase footage I've ever seen! From 2:46 to 2:56 the snow leopard descends about 1000 feet down a sheer face, in complete control!

Leopards are right up there on my list of felines and I absolutely adore the way they look and carry themselves. Beautiful creatures. My passion in life is tracking animals and filming them here in Canada and last week a baby white tail deer i've known since its birth got killed by a female coyote that has one eye who i spent 5 years getting her to trust me around her. So when i came apon the kill i was crushed and happy at the same time.

  • I saw a snow leapord in Naltar valley of Pakistan. It was young who fell from mountain and could not join his mother, so authorities kept him. What a beautiful creature it was.
