Prince William and his brother were "so close" until Harry married Meghan Markle, Di's former bodyguard claims.
Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Ken Wharfe opened up about the brothers' relationship - telling tales of the years he'd spent with them as youngsters.
The personal protection officer, who went on to write an explosive tell-all book, says Harry used to be more popular than William - until he tied the knot.
Prince Harry, 39, lobbed bombs at his brother in his explosive memoir Spare.
He wrote that William attacked him, "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor".
Harry also waged war on Princess Kate, claiming she made his wife cry, "grimaced" when Meghan asked to borrow her lip gloss, and had a furious bust-up over comments about her hormones.

If Diana had been alive, Meghan wouldn't have made it within 50ft of Harry . Good show, I think Ken Wharfe spoke very well , and actually gave away nothing while saying everything , very discreet . Matt is a good host and doesn't interrupt.
I actually enjoyed this show. It made such a difference to hear about the past from one who was there. Diana loved both her boys equally and would be destroyed by their antics now. But as many have said I too believe the marriage would never have happened as a longer engagement (Diana would have insisted) would have brought out more of what we have now. Harry would not be blinkered by his feelings and Diana would have explained all her (MM) misgivings.

I could go on, but these things have been written about in several books. Diana wasn’t the saint Harry and others have talked about. But she managed to raise William, which may have been her greatest achievement. However, one must also remember that King Charles helped with the raising of William and must receive part of the glory.

William had just as much hurt at losing his Mother (and he was mature enough to know her faults and see her lifestyle and be embarrassed by her behaviour, but ofcourse he still loved her as his Mother). In his late teens William did not want to become King at all, but his time in the Military, and seeing life and death situations as a search and rescue pilot, and being with such a stable, close knit family with happily married parents, gave William an example of domestic bliss and the ordinary life he wanted and appreciated the Middleton family taking him in as one of their own. The unconditional love they gave him was very healing for William, and with Catherine's loyalty and support, he grew as a person and became the settled, thoughtful man we see today. In contrast Harry married Meghan, and she played on every grievance he ever had and added some of hers in there too, convincing him he was unloved and uncared for because he was not Heir. Compare them to Edward & Sophie, it all stems from the marriage. Sarah is partly to blame for Andrew's troubles, as she was always overspending and in debt. Whereas Charles finally found the companion that suited him, and with it the happiness he craved.

I remember reading many, many stories of Harry being over the moon when Prince George was born. He liked living at Not Cot so he could walk over to visit and play with the little boy..often staying for supper. Enter Meghan and he cut the little boy dead...ghosted him. Leaving William and Catherine to deal with a heartbroken, confused four year old. That would be unforgivable were it my son. Add Meghan's bullying of Princess Charlotte prior to the wedding and one can understand why William is done.
