MORE ABOUT ME
I'm Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, everything is "figureoutable."
I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need.
8 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool.
My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots.
Whether it's carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support - whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share.

  • We have one of the plug-in Envi heaters from EHeat in our bathroom. Because they work on convection and have no fan, they use less energy than a space heater. It comes in hard wired units or the plug in ones.💕

  • I am homeless living in my car with my dog since Dec 15th and it's been horrible. We had a home we owned for over 12 years and we had a fire. I then found out our insurance was dropped and I was never notified. I can't find a 2 bedroom apt for under $ 1,500 a month. I been looking at tiny home. I would love to live in one or own one some day

  • Very nice. Love your downstairs lay out. The kitchen and staircase on the end side is great. Yes, those heaters are 500 W, Or just under. I have 3 tiny homes on my property and I have one of them in each. 5 years now and they are great convection heaters, no moving parts, no noise, And you can just plug it into a 110 outlet. Or they have a hardwired option. Love the tiny house craze too! I'm looking to put another 1 or 2 on my property. Great to find your channel. I'm just South of you all in the NC mountains! Cheers!😃👍☮️🌎

  • Awesome transformation! One of my favorite DIY projects (before starting my channel) was transforming a garden shed into a studio office. At the time we had a very small house... with a 2nd kid on the way I knew I was about to lose my office. So my dad and I built a lean-to shed and then I converted my 14x10 garden shed into an office.

Also, dude who said "one good bowl, a knife, fork, and spoon"...nailed it. I turned myself a birch bowl based on the finds from the Mary Rose. It does everything from soup/stew-y things to stir-fry to pasta to steak to burger and fries. Pizza is kind of awkward. Embrace the one-bowl life!

Did you first have to get into contact with a land surveyor to see if that land was suitable for setting up a house? And also, how do you get a permit to put something like this up? Who do you contact? Thanks.
