  • "None of these moments are caused by one another. They all just feel like separate, unrelated events that are just boring to watch." These 2 sentences perfectly describe what I was thinking almost the entire season and I didn't really know what it was. Atleast at the end of the show something actually HAPPENED and it was something big I guess, but it can't erase the feeling of pointlessness I felt almost the entire show :(

  • I honestly think the reason season 3 is so so bad, is because they had plans during season 2 that mando would be on his own / do his own adventure for season 3. Then it was announced a bunch of Star Wars shows were coming including boba fett. Now what did Bob iger admit in his biography? That they were more concerned with quartley earnings for the sequels and thus quantity over quality. Disney really cares about money. What makes money? Grogu. He was a meme, and sold massively to children as a toy. I gurantee some higher ups told Dave and Jon they had to include grogu for season 3. So the whole thing had to fit him. There was even a rumour surfaced recently Jon favrue was in a conflict with Kathleen Kennedy about this.

    • Well I think your right about Jon Favreau having plans to only want to cast mando, but Dave Filloni who wrote this episode had to make it work for the Disney execs, and I feel like his upcoming involvement in the seventh episode will also include this unfortunately. But overall I think Jon Favreau’s main objective in this season is to reintroduce Thrawn as this sort of build up of defeating the remaining high Imperial authorities like mof Gideon, and the existence of characters like Zeb being shown from rebels could have significance to that

  • I pray, no I BEG that this cloning plotline that was teased since season 1 does not turn out to lead to the creation of Snoke or at least to lead to the creation of ONLY Snoke. It would be rad if we got an awesome sort of insanely powerful force-wielding monster and I mean an actual MONSTER. One that sticks around for like 3 seasons first as a force of nature then as an intelligent being akin to a predator then an actual character. Quit putting people on speeder bikes, if they're not banking severely into turns at high speed, it looks awful! Also, as great as it was to see Ahmed Best getting his redemption as a new character, he didn't look confident swinging those Lightsabers around. I totally agree, I'm no longer optimistic about this show.

  • I think the season is amazing. You have to look at it in a different way than the first two seasons. They’re going somewhere with this. They’re setting things up. That’s how I am taking it. I’ve actually enjoyed the episodes. The only one I really didn’t like was the one with the scientist. I thought they just spent way too much time, and I really cannot stand the character of Kane. But other than that I’ve enjoyed every other episode, and I really am excited to see where this is all heading. I’m not going to stop watching it just because some people don’t believe it’s heading in the right direction. There is a direction and I’m going to stick with it because I want to see where it’s going.

    • Setting things up is well and good, if they made said set up entertaining.... but there is so much easily cut fat in every episode that could not possibly lend itself to set up. Almost everything has been filler, which if cut would have made the episodes less than 20 minutes long each.

He's not a main character anymore, he's not even an npc bc they don't know how to write stuff consistently. The dialogue feels like it was written by a child. We know Bo is working on becoming leader of Mandalor again and trying to take back the dark saber. Din doesn’t see it yet. The show is going from “The Mandalorian” to “The Mandalorians.”

If they succeed, they'll be able to draw more people in for more star wars content, in turn making more money. From the stupid decision to stay on that hellhole planet, to the Armorer being of NEGATIVE, NOT EVEN ZERO, NEGATIVE help to Bo after she’s told about the Mythosaur... And while I was watching this I was also thinking why the hell isn’t this kid dead yet? I thought he would have gotten eaten right away? Like it took them a whole DAY to find him let alone reach the nest... I think the whole order 66 thing was to tie in with how Din had war flashbacks from HIS childhood while the Armorer was doing her thing, but like you said, Grogu’s flashbacks didn’t add ANYTHING new to the story. • I think it's pretty good. I especially enjoyed the episode on Coruscant. Had a good Andor feel. Every second doesn't have to be about Din. They are on that planet because its remote and dangerous, order 66 scene was good. Not every second needs to be about Din. It's called world building, I enjoy it.

    • Yeah, worldbuilding towards the sequel trilogy! Did you enjoy that part of episode 3 as well? That episode was Andor if Andor sucked.

    • What? World building for 30 minutes without showing literal title character on the screen? You gotta be kidding. This episode was ridiculous. They should've blended scenes between Mando and this whatever this is or just introduced it earlier in previous episodes. I didn't wanted to watch a short movie with painfully obvious story.

  • I know this episode was 5 days ago based on last weeks episode, but WOW. Here's why I'm really excited about the Mandalorian Season 3 so far. **((SPOILERS FROM EPISODE 5))** 1). Based on episode 5, it is showing the resurgence of the Mandalorians, the retaking of Mandalore, and the rise of a THIRD faction in the Galaxy, that we may actually give a crap about. 2). Din and Bo are spending a lot of time together. They always sit together, they do things together, they operate together. I'm getting excited at the idea that Din, Bo, and Grogu will actually become one big happy family eventually. 3). On Din and Bo, we'll find out in episode 6, but these two may together unite the Mandalorian clans. 5 doesn't finish that thought, we need to find out in 6, but Din earned the Dark Saber, and Bo is going for the Mythosaur. Together, likely with Grogu's help taming the beast, they can bring the clans of Mandalore together. 4). The world building here is HUGE even if you don't realize it. Just think about context. Jabba the Hutt is dead, and Boba took his place. It's a safe harbor for Din, and another third faction outside the Republic and Empire that is developing a "crime" syndicate based on honor and respect. Mandalorians are coming together, and now they are networking with other independent planets such as Nevarro in the outerrim. This may lead to a set of independent planets outside the two main factions that can actually operate successfully and protect themselves from external threats. Sure they're eluding to Snoke, but they're also eluding to the possibility of following stories OUTSIDE of those BS sequels that we hate so much. In response to people talking about that hell hole they keep their covert in, I'm surprised to see that EVERYONE seems to be forgetting that Canderous Ordo chose to put his Mandalorian clan on Dxun for a specific reason. It is dangerous, and it has dangerous beasts. You don't become the strongest warriors in the Galaxy without conflict, so they created their own conflict, and used the tests of the jungle to gain prestige among the clan. The armoreror alluded to this when she said Bo did the highest honor by saving a foundling. Why are they in a hell hole? Because they need danger to thrive, and too much comfort breeds sloth which is expressely against Mandalorian beliefs. Granted Paz Vizla countered this statement by saying they'd have a brighter future on Nevarro, but still, it's not like they're planning on truly staying there for long with the armoreror talking about bringing the clans together to retake Mandalore... which will of course take a... MANDALORE!!!! And that Mandalore will either be Din or Bo, or perhaps for the first time in Mandalorian history, they will both hold the title of Mandalore. As for a flash back to Order 66 again. Why is that bad? It's character development for Grogu. You know how scarred that 55ish year old baby must be, and he needs to overcome that himself to progress as a character and become stronger, and a stronger Mandalorian. We get to see a really cool fight scene, the redemption of an actor, and subtle character development, and the reason it is subtle is because Grogu can't speak so there's only so much information we can actually glean from his face but... hey character development is character development. In addition, it also alludes to how the Jedi have kept background channels and personnel after Order 66 as shown in the show, Kenobi. As for the mega fauna fight scene, come on, that was epic. Of course we know they're going to succeed, that's what this all built up to, and again based on episode 5 making a big conflict between Paz and Din would actually stiffle the plot and make the overall story slow down. But at the same time, come on. 90% of the time in all media you can guess what the outcome of a fight is going to be based on context. Enjoy the fight for what it is. Friggin' Mandalorians zooming through the skies, new weaponry made specifically for this type of situation, Din soaring through the air with a vibroknife, stabbing the thing in the foot and grabbing the kid, and the fact that the flying just looks SO GOOD. I loved the entire thing. Hey, maybe I'm easy to please after the sequels, but this is well above the Book of Boba Fett, and Kenobi, and I'd even say the Bad Batch even though I am enjoying that series. Enjoy the series for what it is, and remember it's only episode 4. 5 ties some things together, 6 may do more we will see. All I can say is, Wednesday is coming and I can't wait!

  • Yup, imagine if other SW channels and fans would just tell it like it is then feloni and fav would, perhaps, finally admit it's time they hire a few good and versatile writers, directors and kill off shitty characters/actors who, I assume, must be personal friends of those two. Instead, people find excuses for why mandalorians stay on this hostile planet or why some silly dino is important. No hate but you criticize this show and some fans start flaming you and immediately blaming Kathleen Kennedy who allowed Tony Gilroy to make the best freaking SW to date. lol I don't know. Sorry for the rant and my Eng but I just wanted SW to be a little better than what we've been getting. Oh, they should have that kid died because of Mando and we finally some tension and sense of danger to him and grogu but no. Of course not.

  • I think the point is to build things up. I bet at some point Pav might save Din or even sacrfice himself for him because he saved his son. Grogu learning how to fight will probably play a part too, along with the Mandalorians settling on Navarro and the scientist being brainwashed and Moff Gideon escaping. If I were you i'd wait until it's over before claiming it's bad and that nothing happens.
