Absolute Machine! the Greatest Heavyweight in UFC History? - Cain Velasquez

2023 ж. 10 Қар.
1 389 055 Рет қаралды

At the start of the last decade, Cain Velasquez devastated his opponents on the feet, overwhelmed them on the ground, and never allowed a second of respite inside the cage. Now, the former champion faces a potential 20-year prison sentence. While Cain grapples with the justice system, let's take a journey in his fighting footsteps: from remarkable triumphs to heartbreaking tragedies.

Even the fights he lost the other fighter usually ended up feeling the results of the fight far worse than Gaethje. Even Khabib had a hard time walking after just a couple kicks he took from Gaethje. What Gaethje did to Ferguson officially broke Ferguson and will be remember as the guy who retired Ferguson with the only problem being Ferguson still hasn't figured out he is no longer the boogeyman that he was prior to stepping in the cage with Gaethje.

However, since Cain used a firearm, the prosecutor can argue that he put innocent bystanders in jeopardy. I'm a father myself, so I can completely understand wanting justice, I just wish he had found a way to obtain vengeance without ending up in prison. With any luck, he will end up getting a lighter sentence than the 20-year maximum penalty.

  • Cain is a true warrior. Miss seeing him in the cage. A good, honest, hard working, humble man, who was protecting his family. I truly hope everything works out for him.

  • The fight to make would have been Pride era Fedor VS Cain. The power, speed and endurance would never be outdone. Yes JBJ is now heavyweight, wonderful. Is there anyone who is a real test of his talents. I always wished Rumble would get a crack at JBJ as champ. Yes AJ lost to DC, but Jones is hittable, and AJ hit a bit different to most.

  • Only if stipe ...Ngannou ...and frank Mir arent fighting.

    @haconk@haconk5 ай бұрын
    • I don't know about that. Ngannou is definately the most freakishly gifted heavyweight probably in combat sports history next to George Foreman, and Sonny Liston. Ngannou beat Cain quickly, but I don't think Ngannou is a better overall fighter than Cain was. Stipe is the most accomplished heavyweight of all time, but I think a prime Cain beats him 2 out of 3 times just due to Cain's style. Frank Mir is a legendary heavyweight, and one of the absolute greatest the division has ever seen, but a prime Cain was a ruthless savage with unlimited cardio and aggression. It would depend on whether Frank could take the punishment from Cain, and catch him in a submission. Frank did it to Lesnar, and Noguiera, so he definately had the ability to make it happen, but Cain was so great at maintaining balance, and scrambling quickly before his opponents could react to what he was doing, plus he used his ground and pound at the same time as his scrambling. All of those guys are the absolute best the division has ever had to offer. I would throw Couture in there as well, but Couture was more of a natural LHW, and was a bit undersized for a HW. Still, he was also one of the greats of that division.

    • @donavonhoward114 Ngannou beat both Cain and his greatest rival JDS very easily. No contest at all. Ngannou is not just crazy strong, he's also a better striker than both.
