Ravens live around 40 years on average. This dude got himself a lifelong friend!
A much underrated creature, intelligent, bright, inquisitive and it has a human for a pet.
I can imagine Floki telling his raven friends every day, “Bye. Gotta go home.”
The most remarkable about this relationship is no food is involved. He wasn't coming because of food. This love is unconditional.
This is how it's done. I love that the raven still has his freedom, but chooses to come and see his person each day. They've both chosen each other. I love this.
Those birds are incredibly intelligent
Max could be in the middle of a crowded town square and Floki could identify him. Ravens are magnificent animals.
They’re so smart he literally hid his toy and then put a piece of moss in front of it for camouflage 😂
im 100% sure and proud to say this
So sweet, such a wonderful friendship. It's so special when something wild and free will come back to visit the one they love. He can fly anywhere he wants but chooses to come back to this kind gentleman that took care of him.
Raven is one of the most compassionate and smartest animals out there. This guy is lucky
SO glad I found this. I befriended 2 baby crows & their mom out at the farm I used to work for. I watched them grow to maturity & watched as they learned the lessons their mom taught them - the most repeated one being " Don't go too close to the human!" They went from mama's little angels to daring to defy her to being leggy & smart & beautiful by Fall, after spending all summer flying around after me all over the farm. But what shocked me with surprise was when I began to see them sitting in the trees along the highway waiting to see me driving in to work. I never believed it was possible for them to get so used to me or how attached I'd get to them.
Ravens are pretty smart, he probably makes the connection between dog behavior and being a companion to humans. So he just knows "this is what people like from their companions".
Who sacifices their time and invests their love into helping save a bird? An amazing man, that's who!!
Bonding with an animal is a special experience, a true friend.
We are so lucky to be alive in this world.
A raven that barks! This has got to be one of the most awesome things I've seen. I absolutely adore that bird!
Further proof that animals also have feelings and emotions, they just express it differently.
My father had one when he was a kid. He talked too. He went to school with him and was there waiting when school let out. He was an injured rescue who came back loyally to him. Dave is right, they are extremely under rated. They are so intelligent, it is amazing.
Ravens are incredibly intelligent birds with high functioning memory.
