Is there more gold on the fingers or in the chips? It is actually easier, faster and cheaper to feed solution of Copper Chloride forward from a previous batch. Saves on hydrogen peroxide and prevents solution of any of the gold. HCl and H2O2 can also dissolve gold. It usually falls out again when there is copper present, but it is a possible source of loss. CuCl2 cannot do that and it dissolves the remaining copper faster than HCl and H2O2.

You right. But sulfamic acid had a positive side efect, when react with nitric produces sulfuric acid. In my country sadly stamp out not available. And yes in powder form work better. Thanks for watching & sub!😉👍
Q produto vc joga para tira o ouro? Obrigado
That was awesome
2 Question Do you ♻️ the plastic? Where do you sell the gold?
No. This is glassfiber, it goes to the trash. I'm not sell any gold. But if I want to sell, I have jeweller friend who take my gold in an assay office and get proper certificat, after that I can sell everywhere without questioning the authenticity. And same with my silver. Thanks for watching!
How long, in it's entirely, does this process take to accomplish?
2 weeks. Thanks for watching! 👍
Awesome work🇮🇳
3 Weeks? Put it on heat and it would only take 2-3 days. An Air Bubbler would help out too.
Hello! How much gold have in 30kg ddr rams? (Finger+chips) thank you very much!
Very cool!
I work in a recycling Company, we have Tons of this RAM Fingers and more recycelt from PC s... in a year.. we always wanted to know what a kilo is worth🤣😅😂😅😱
I did some calculations. The human body contains .0002g gold. If you could remove all the gold from every living person it would weigh about 1.575 metric tons and worth about 87.43 million dollars U.S.
Thats true. But I think the oxygen, nitrogen and the carbon worth more 😉
True, but Gold (silver too I'm sure) is lacking in our diet as it is. Gold has a LOT of beneficial health (brain in particular) effects. Stop giving the elites another reason to go Australia on us XD
Good video, thank for the data. may be a good idea to test same weight on gold fingers from cards to compare.
Thank you! Mixed card finger recovery on my list. 😉
Great video. I’m wondering if you kept track of how much RAM it took to get 1 kg of fingers, like how many sticks or how many kgs? Thanks!
Yes.15 kilo. 😉👍
The ram chips also have gold in the bonding wire.
Interesting process, have you thought of extracting the gold from the solution with a gold plating method?
No. I don't want to plate anything. Smb or iron sulfate or oxalic acid is good enough for me.
Would it be quicker to heat these up ?
Sulfamic acid place could use urea or sodium metabisulfite or it not alternative?
You can use sulfamic and or urea to remove excess nitric acid. Sodium metabisulfite is for precipitating gold.
For 100g gold how much need scrap?
very Amazing work
What kind of chemical you put in time you heat the precipatd gold ...is borax ? Mr OG Bullion
Yes it is. 🙂
How much u spent on acid, items and how much u earn?
Love these videos.
Good effort
What a great and well explained video! But just a question: How do you get your hands on so many RAM-memories?
Thank you! I have a good friend who works in a scrapyard.
@@ogbullion Ok, thx for the answer! But you think that you could go profit on this, since the acids is expensive? Would really like to try this myself
@@loklishplays9562 the chemicals I used is worth 10-15 $ US.
@@ogbullion Oh, ok, then It is defently worth it, that was not so much as I expected 👍 But can the solutions be reused maybe? Or is it to much things in it
@@loklishplays9562 only the AP (HCL+H2O2) solution reusable for stripping gold foils.
Very good 👏👍
Why can't you melt the gold foils directly?
I actually remember something from my grammar school science, 65 years ago. You are using a Buckner funnel and filter flask
That's correct sir! 👍Thank you for watching!
Hello 👋 At what temperature do you use the burner to bring the solution to a boil?
Hello! I don't know the accurate temperature, I use at medium or 3. I hope it helps! 👍
Hi 🤗 what grade on filter paper do you use for fine gold dust
@@RubenHernandez-nz6fv hello i think it's medium flov filter 185 mm ashless.

Wow bagus banget info nya om juga banyak emas nya
Hooo wow...is gold 22 k. The fingers...memory ram Very good my friend. Is excellent your vídeo.
Nope. 24 k .thanks for watching!👍
Hooooo...24 k... I work now in my memorys RAM. Thanks my friend..you have good day..
I noticed an induction heating range, does that only heat the metal, or the chemical as well?
I dont know. I use regular hot plate for chemical reactions. Thanks for watching!
Induction oven use induction to heat themsefl so yuo put something and its gone get very hot

Love your work so clean and precise , suggest a bit larger display on script info, look forward to next vid, ty
Thank you! And I wrote it on my list. Thanks for the suggestion!👍
@@ogbullion gold ram is gold 24k? Thank you
@@huongmong2783 The gold on the fingers are karat gold.
The camera has a beating heart.
What's the powder that you sprinkle when you were burning with the torch?
Borax
Great video and effort collecting gold
What happens if you melt the foils? Why did you dissolve them in nitric acid?
The foils are karat gold, 18-22k and i refined to 24k to get pure gold.
thank you for this video well done
Hola que tal mi nombre es Salvador desde República Dominicana Me gustaría saber cuál es la química utilizada para extraer el oro
Au+2Cl+NOCL+HCL=H(AuCl4)+NO
got a question, is the nitric acid 100% necessary or could ya just melt down those little flakes without much loss?
The foils on the fingers are karat gold, you can melt that but in the end is still 14 k gold, not pure.
@@ogbullion true, is the only way to purify it using nitric acid or is there a way i can do it with hydrochloric? NZ has heavy restrictions on nitric
@@mentallychallengeddolphin9677 You can use HCL+bleach to dissolve gold.
good recover brother to gold foil
With all the work you did, the half a peanut butter jar I have of gold fingers looks like a gram or less would be the result.
puts a whole new level to mining
$300 in gold. What is the cost of the chemicals just for this process? Nevermind the cost, if any, for the initial 15kg of RAM. Seems like a loss. In any case though awesome video showing the process!
13:00 Forbidden Mountain Dew
Why do you wait 3 weeks? You can put it on the pan. Just 5 minute.
Thank you frend
Only it of pure curiosity I can see it is a hobby but if a person wanted to do this for purely cash would the time be worth it? Great video and no disrespect by asking this question. Just wondering
If you get the materials for free or very good price, than worth the effort very well. Thanks for watching! 👍

U pulled up that little pebble after all that work, I burst out laughing. Impressive though.
How is the cost of recycling?
Génial !
Now you can cap your tooth.
Lol 😆
هههههههههههههه😁😁😁
what exactly is the math over here? how many kg of ram pieces do you need to get how much gold?
Good, for reaserch
Amazing. Nearly 0,3% result collected...?
Not worthit for the time and cost..but lot for science.. Thanks👍
I tried this in a more easy way ... i used the same fingers but i only used HCl to dissolve the copper below the gold and it left me the gold ... Question here is . you think i have pure gold ? or is it more than just the gold i repeated the HCl untill the HCl stopped turning green ... And yes i used the 10% HCl you can find in any hardware store .
The foils are karat gold, probably 18-22k . You need to refine if you want pure gold.

can i use the same exact quantity of chemicals used for the 1kg for a larger quantity of gold fingers? lets say an extra kg. Does the ratio of scarp to chemical matter or it just has to be totally submerged in the chemicals?
Yes.

As of the time I posted this comment the value of that gold would be about 166 dollars. I wonder if this could actually be profitable taking into account time and expenses.
