For anyone trying to play DQ 8 you have to change Hardware mode to unsynchronized or else it'll struggle. Even the Odin 2 struggles in some instances without this setting changed

Have fun! Onimusha 3 is the one that may not be playable. The frame drops durong cutscenes a lot
@@monospacechannel use pal edition (50hz), enable manual hardware fix, skip draw end value is 3. You can play pretty well.

Emulation wise it's about the same. Screen wise I prefer rg556, grip wise rg556. Pocketability definitely RP4Pro

Mine is usually not that fast. Perhaps try to use the standard settings instead of the high performance one!

This Chipset should handle most if not all PS2 games at native resolution.
Ive noticed that with some games the compatibility is seemingly bad with AetherSX2 just in general. Having a better processor like in the Odin 2 can definitely force slightly better performance but there will still be bad graphical issues or bad slowdown. Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, Rogue Galaxy and Hitman Contracts are examples I’ve run into big problems with on the Rg556
I would say most, as some games just doesn't seem to be playable at all!

Infinitely more comfortable and kicks the shit out of the RP4 Pro's screen quality with the OLED.
Agree with you, better screen and better handle. But go for the RP4Pro if you want something pocketable

To be honest I like thr RG556's screen better than the Retroid!
I'll buy one of these when they come pre-loaded with games... I have zero interest spending half a day setting up an Android tablet with joysticks attached after blowing $500 AUD on it...
The anbernic usually comes with preloaded games,just make sure you bought the one with the micro sd card included
