    • When you have a superstar playmaker and you take the ball out of his hands and stick him in the corner to shoot threes, it's going to completely wreck a guy with this kind of talent. That's what the Cavs did with him.

  • Love the wonderful fallacy of comparing what Blake Griffin COULD DO when he reaches his "peak" to what Love IS DOING right now and using that as a way to say that Griffin is as good, or better, than Love. Love beats Griffin in just about every statistic and neither of them are much better than average defenders.

    • Love's third in the league in win shares behind Kevin Durant and LeBron James. Blake is sixth. Love's fourth in win shares per 48 minutes behind Kevin Durant Chris Paul and LeBron James. Blake is eighth. Love's third in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) behind Kevin Durant and LeBron James. Blake is ninth. Love's third in the league in offensive win shares behind Kevin Durant and LeBron James. Blake is 11th. Love is third in PIE (Player Impact Estimate) behind Kevin Durant and LeBron James. Blake is 10th. Blake is 14th in the league in defensive win shares. Not sure where Love ranks. I only know that it's higher than 20.

    • the problem is people fall in love with athetic players and not basketball skills like good shooting, good passing and ball I.Q. everyone want a slam dunk. I will pick love over griffin anytime anywhere. I hope the Cavs do make the choice of getting love.

      @rickygilbert21@rickygilbert219 жыл бұрын
    • ***** Ok so *how* does Blake's above the rim play somehow impact the game more than Love's shooting? You can say shit all day long but it doesn't mean anything unless you back it up with something. I think Love's outside shooting wreaks havoc on the defense more because he spreads it out, leaving room for guards to slash and centers to post up. See? I backed up my statement. Your turn.

      @NyQuilDonut@NyQuilDonut9 жыл бұрын
    • ***** Oh and while you're at it please describe how Love's impact is somehow less than his statistics suggest.

      @NyQuilDonut@NyQuilDonut9 жыл бұрын
    • ***** Blake's post game is not dominant. It's getting better but it's not dominant.. Kevin's post game is barely any worse than Blake's is. He's got a very good right hook and I've seen him school people in the post plenty of times. How can you build around a shooter? Ever heard of Dirk Nowitzki? Ya know that guy who won a title and a Finals MVP (also league MVP) being primarily a shooter? Also Larry Bird? Shooting is a big part of basketball if you haven't noticed. You're just way oversimplifying everything. I could just as easily say that Blake's a one trick pony and all he can do is dunk. It's not true, but that's what you're doing with Kevin Love. Love's a better shooter, passer and rebounder. If Blake weren't so athletic then he'd be nobody. If and when Blake's athleticism fades he'll be done. He'll be like Tracy McGrady. Love on the other hand will more than likely age like Tim Duncan because he relies on skill and not strength and athleticism. Oh and what's this about Love riding other players' coattails? I'm sorry but if you have the opportunity to play with LeBron then why pass that up? Blake was just lucky that Chris Paul came to the Clippers, otherwise he'd probably leave too.

    @juelzsantanashamar@juelzsantanashamar10 жыл бұрын
    • Honestly I prefer Kevin Love to Blake Griffin but I'd rather see a guy who's an amazing dunker in the starting lineup than someone who gets his points through unspectacular ways. It's an All Star game, that's the kind of play that it calls for.

      @NyQuilDonut@NyQuilDonut10 жыл бұрын
    • What? First off that wanting to see a dunker in the starting lineup thing is a mental thing so yea. Secondly allstar games usually score about 150 point, my point is in an allstar game it would be pretty damn hard to get 150pts of dunks. So what does that mean, yup a lot of threes sprinkled with the occasional alley oop and fast break dunk and seeing a big man hit stepback three's with ease is pretty damn fun to watch. SO GO VOTE FOR KEVIN LOVE

      @juelzsantanashamar@juelzsantanashamar10 жыл бұрын
    • lasoogneypubes being voted to the starters represents that you're playing the best at your position in the conference. if you want awesome dunks and no defense watch and1. 1. chris paul / tony parker / damian lillard 2. james harden / steph curry 3. kd 4. kevin love / lamarcus aldridge 5. dwight howard / demarcus cousins / anthony davis 1. kyrie irving / john wall 2. paul george / dwayne wade 3. lebron james / jeff green 4. carmelo anthony / chris bosh 5. roy hibbert / andre drummond pretty simple this year

      @sdots212@sdots21210 жыл бұрын
    • sharmarke ahmed Ok *first off* of course wanting to see a dunker in the starting lineup is a mental thing. Could it be a physical thing somehow? Could I think that with my armpit? Oh and it's pretty damn easy to get to 150 points without shooting threes because *they don't play defense in the All Star game*. Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 on two pointers in one game. Use your head.

      @NyQuilDonut@NyQuilDonut10 жыл бұрын
    • original don If I want awesome dunks and no defense I'll watch the NBA All Star game thank you. When has it been about more than that? Every time I watch the All Star game that's *exactly* what it's about. It's funny that you seem to think that the players would actually risk injury playing tough defense on each other. Also being voted as the All Star starter does not mean that you are the best at your position. It means you're the most popular. Why? Because the *fans* are in total control of the vote. So anyone that looks at the All Star starters and immediately assumes that those are the best players don't follow basketball. It shouldn't be an insult to Kevin Love that he'll be coming off the bench because everybody knows who the best is. I mean that too he is absolutely *not* overrated and gets the credit he deserves all the time.
