Seine net is used to catch a lot of fish. It is a traditional method in Sri Lanka. This method is a good method to catch a lot of fish.   • Excess extreme commercial fishing. That's the main reason seas become empty. Many varieties of fishes become extinct. They catch everything from small to biggest fishes. Admire the glory of God to feed so many people. Mostly its catches go top hotels, restaurants at fancy prices. Later they sell for more profits.

    • That is very common way of catching fishes in Sri Lanka. Net is setting by the boats surrounding the fish herd and then it will be pulled by the humans (normally). But, now they have used some machines too... It called "Maa del". that means big net fishing...

  • ඉස්සර උදේ පාන්දර මාරවිල වෙරලට දුවන්න යනව මගේ බාප්ප එක්ක ගියාම මුහුදු ගිහින් තෙප්පම් ගොඩ ගන්න දිහා බලාන ඉන්නකොට එක් ධීවරයෙක් මට කෑ ගැහුව හුකන්නො බලාන ඉන්නැතිව අත ගහපන් කියල 😃😃😃 බයටම මම තෙප්පම උඩට ගන්න උදව් කලා පස්සෙ මට බැනපු කෙනා මට ලස්සන මීවැටි මාලු කූරියෙක් දීල කතා කරා තරහ වෙන්න එපා මහත්තයෝ ඒ අපේ හැටි කියල මම එතකොට උසස් පෙල කරන කාලේ ඒ මනුස්සයා ඊට පස්සෙ මගේ හොඳම හිතවතෙක් උනා මම කුරුණෑගල මහගෙදර ගියාම වත්තෙ දෙල් පොලොස් වගේ දේවල් එයාලට ගිහින් දෙනව උසස් පෙළින් පස්සෙ මම නාත්තන්ඩිය දාල ආවත් ඉඩ ලැබුන වෙලාවක එයාල බලන්න ගියා 2005 ලංකාව දාල එනකම්ම දැන්නම් එයාල ගොඩක් වයසට ගිහින් ඇති මොකද මමත් වයසට ගිහින් කෙස් පැහුන ඉලංදාරියෙක් වෙලානෙ දැන් ආසයි ආයෙමත් එයාල බලන්න යන්න අවුරුදු 18 කින් ලංකාවට ගියේ නෑ

    • My question is why the fish were all dead that he just took out a net?. A I didn't see any one kill them. Ya have seen it frist in Jamaica. I would eat any of those fish and am a sea food fan the fish should be jumping all over the boat.

    • Those are queenfish ..mostly we takes that fish for make dry fish and it is very taste after making dry fish...
