No one will replace Robin Williams but this is honestly a great tribute to the great man. I’ve seen the musical and it was so good.
I don’t think people understand this is for Mrs Doubtfire the musical not some kind of remake and it’s in tribute to Robin. It’s not trying to be a ‘replacement’. People need to get a grip

Get real…this is not an insult…to pay homage to a person is actually a compliment…if you ever saw a documentary on Robin Williams you would realise that he saw it that way.

You do know the new Mrs doubt fire musical is a tribute and robins family and the original cast was asked first if could do a musical they said yes and love the idea

No one can replace Robin but we've got to accept that the man is no longer with us. I think the show is actually a perfect honour to Robin and to a character he played 30 years ago to perfection and I'm sure he would love it if he could see it. Plus, the main actor Gabriel Vic, is perfect in the role - this understudy, however, isn't as confident but still he did well, although the end skit wasn't really needed...
To those who think it is an insult to Robin Williams..it is not…it is a complement…it’s a way of keeping his memory alive…in showbiz and music it is considered “an honour”…if you take the time there are many instances of this happening through awards ceremonies etc…don’t be so closed minded…he shared his creativity with the world…that’s why he was famous… and he deserves be honoured…no one who keeps someone’s memory alive should be ridiculed…👏👏👏

Just saw the musical and the guy playing Mrs Doubtfire was phenomenal he absolutely nailed the voice. It’s not quite as good here but honestly if you haven’t seen it go and see it the musical is just fantastic

Is it just me or is it not obvious that this is to advertise the musical of the film? I appreciate some of the comments, however I feel Robin Williams as an actor would of been proud that one of his characters/films made it to Broadway/West End and various touring companies. Tina Turner the musical stage actor portrays Tina Turner.. Whitney the bodyguard musical… same I could go on.
That was funny, but the sirens -- too loud!! A great tribute! Since Mrs. Doubtfire is fictional, just the right person must be chosen. This actor is superb! Wonderful they are bringing laughs to so many. Good on them!

Robin Williams was one of a kind, and this musical will never replace that. And we all know that because Robbin Williams was amazing. But this chap playing mrs doubtfire now is actually really good. So let’s just give them there credit. And leave it at that. What I can’t forgive is, making another Independence Day, shocking! 😂😂😂

Why can’t itv addmitt that this morning no longer works. There no real new on there or serious stories. The presenters act like 5 year olds but sure that a 5 year old CV oils do a better job presenting. This show has gone past it sell by date. Not fun at all think holly realised it wasn’t doing well that why she left before it was taken off air completely.
This clip is pretty flat, but i promise you as the biggest sceptic around recasting Robin williams, I loved the musical. It's the same enough and different enough to work.

I don't think this is Gabriel Vic, I think it's the understudy - he has a bit of a rounder face than Vic and is a little more unsure of the role compared to Vic. Still not a bad performance
@@DorothyMcShanesorry to burst your bubble but it is definitely is Gabriel as his understudy funny enough has a cameo at the end in a high vis (I have seen both and think they’re both fab)
