    • Hope she, and you, are doing ok. I'm young but due to health issues I've been in rehab units filled with almost exclusively stroke patients and really feel for wgat they go through. One stuck with me the most. She hated being in hospital more than anyone I've met, but she worked damn hard to get home. A couple of weeks after we were both discharged I ran into her and her husband at outpatient rehab and she'd had another, even bigger, stroke only 5 days after getting out. The gains she'd worked so hard for were gone, and you could see how shattered she was. She didn't try anymore. She'd just given up. Wasn't even that old. In her early 60's

I mean look on his don't care behavior, after he sent an Advnturer to retrive this specific item as a result of a main story chain implements that the souls have some further meaning to the game. Unless he didn't hire a necromancer and the freed souls are the games Intruduction of a new raid boss or something. Would be the first raidboss 'accidently' summoned by your local blacksmith x'D.

    • @@pugtie4695 It has nothing to do with Shakespear. The Wilhelm scream is this very identifiable scream sound that is being reused in movies over and over. It's from 1950 or so and it's so infamous by now that it is now often used deliberately as an inside joke in many movies. Especially classics like Star Wars, Spielberg movies or the likes often used this scream. I've heard it in Marvel movies too for example, it's everywhere.

  • "No Return" is my pet peeve of all these games... I always wanna make sure that I don't miss anything interesting lorewise... and then some scripted event will force me onward having me break immersion because my character suddenly feels like abandoning stuff he was tasked to do and I OCD all over the place!!

  • The weak point skit is the most incredibly satisfying thing, because there are always NPCs like that in games where you just whup up on them like they stole something and then the cutscene acts like you were having a hard time and you call it a draw or you are 'graciously allowed to leave' or the like.

  • I remember one of those online rpgs that had mandatory fishing in the middle or something. Seeing death knights that glow in the dark, sorcerers who can melt mountains and soldiers of fortune all with shining armours of mourn and weapons of might and magic ready to destroy dragons and deamons alike, all sitting comfortably near a littliest of pond with fishing rods trying to catch tiny fishies to progress the story of ending the threat to all life and stop the worlds end.

    • @@jimbo9305 I do too. But just for fun I tried it on Insane (Witcher 2) once and it gets very unforgiving from thereon if you do not prepare appropriately. It got a similar vibe to dark souls on higher difficulties.

  • To be fair, once you put it into perspective the arbitrary training games make you do consists of things that NPC's can't do. So afterwards they view the player as a demigod with room to still improve. This is the genius of vldl and how they portray the adventures to the npcs.
