  • From their debut songs, Blackpink was noted for the fact that they are individually unique in voice, style, fashion, personality - they've always done that, and it's a big part of their popularity. You actually see more conformity in dance practices because they don't want fashion to be the focus. They have dance practices for a lot of songs they've done. Because they're so dominant, they get a lot of hate, and this song is aimed directly at the haters, saying, basically, "You tried to drag us down, but now...".

  • Their dance videos like this is a better representation of the hours and hours of choreography they work on for every song they do. In the M/V's it's broken up in segments. All of their dance videos are done in one take. About three years ago they were at Coachella. Last year they were brought back as the headliner act.

  • I'm a 71 year old who loves Blackpink. While Jennie is my favorite, they all admit Lisa is the dancer of the group. She has her own dance channel. I'd especially recommend The Movie in her lilifim channel. As someone who loves everything from David Bowie to Blackpink I appreciate the variety of music you react to here.

  • So I’ve watched a lot of your reactions and I don’t think I’ve seen you guys react to XG they are an all Japanese group 7 members total these ladies can all sing, but only four members are actual rappers…. And they can dance better than I’ve seen a lot of groups out there by far. You have to check them out if you do, you should start with tippy toes, which is one of their debuting songs after mascara‼️ guaranteed to possibly be your number one group to follow

  • If you watch the MV. . . there is a lot more to this than what people know. . . the meaning behind the MV: HOW YOU LIKE THAT is about coming back from a dark place stronger than before. There are many Greek references in the video, a few examples are: The winged statue in the temple represents Nike, Goddess of Victory. Rosé (silver hair), in the beginning, is portraying Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation (plants, flowers) and the daughter of Zeus. One day while she was out gathering flowers, Hades, God of the Underworld, abducted her and dragged her down to the Underworld where she was forced to become his wife. The video shows her in her beautiful image, surrounded by flowers, as well as how she became, dirty and grey, staring up at the world through a hole in the Underworld. She was eventually allowed to return to the surface for part of the year, which is why we have Spring and Summer. Jennie (maroon dress) under the umbrellas is surrounded by dancers, their hands are "spiders", crawling over her face. Directly after this, under the burning umbrellas (they're rotating too, by the way), Jisoo is seated in a chair that is spiderlike in its design. The Trojan Horses at the end are a message from BLACKPINK to the world. They symbolize the fact that BLACKPINK, like the Greeks, will emerge and take over the global music world This was from their first album released worldwide). If you look at the last scene you will notice that on the inside of the dome it looks like there's an organic growth over parts of the ceiling. It's actually a map of the world that the group is going to dominate.
